And CT too! Been my favorite artist since I was 14 and my dad brought me to see him and they asked me backstage my dad was like no shes 14 and they gave my dad back the camera they confiscated on him at the door and brought me to front of the stage and at 35 I still have all those pics! Such a good memory

I still dont know what to make of this video. It's one of my all timers as far as songs go. I think he was the devil in this vid, and she was the victim (tera patrick, lol), but this really is a timeless song. I will love this song forever.
I think its about his personal encounter with death. He nearly died because of a heart failure in '99. Like the lyrics say "I looked it in the eye - then it turned away" and "Im not scared" sounds like he lost his fear of death after that experience. And all the other people dying in this video are like some of his friends dying because of the devil. The devil could be: drugs, suicide, murder and on and on... Would make sense for me. Basically he faced and killed his fear of his own death played by the girl at the end. And the parade marching along the streets is like the Black parade from the my chemical romance video. When you die you join them
… Watching the sun shine, peaking over the sky line Thinking I gotta get mine, gotta try at least one time Want to get near it, close enough to fear it, close enough to hear it Close enough to say that I looked it in the eye, then I turned away … And I'm not scared, but I can't move I'm not scared, but I can't move Hangin' out on a weeknight, looking out on the street light Getting into some fistfight, trying to cling to my birthright Want to get near her, close enough to smell her, Close enough to tell her All the things that I want to say, then I looked her in the eye, Made her run away … And I don't care, but I can't move I don't care, but I can't move Laying up at the Soho, looking out of my window Pulling back on some indo, watch the breeze as the wind blows Want to get near it, close enough to hear it, close enough to fear it Close enough to say that I looked it in the eye, then it turned away … And I'm not scared, but I can't move I'm not scared, but I can't move Hangin' out on a weeknight, looking out on the street light Getting into some fistfight, trying to cling to my birthright Want to get near her, close enough to smell her, Close enough to tell her All the things that I want to say, then I looked her in the eye, Made her run away … And I'm not scared, but I can't move I'm not scared, but I can't move
