Used this to jump start my son's jeep that had been sitting dead for 2 years. Then inflated all of the tires on it to get it off the ground. Then, on the same charge, I used it as a power bank on a camping trip to power the inflators for air mattresses and to keep small devices charged. Lasted a whole 3-day weekend with roughly 1/4 charge remaining. I'm not a fan of the way the device charges. I'd prefer if it had a cord of its own to plug into the wall. But overall it's a great little device at first glance. I may buy one to keep in each vehicle just to be safe.
Dustin Johnson gotta use a chord plug it in back of this and in wall socket. Trying figure out how to boost my car did it before but either I forgot or somethings not right :(
Ive already gone through 2 of these since Christmas. First one would not charge a battery, so I took it back. The new one I just got won't do the AC charge. Instead it shows a triangle with exclamation point no matter what I try to change. Keep in mind, I followed all the instructions. I pressed the AC button to charge my laptop. Just get a triangle with exclamation point. However with this recent one, the battery charge works. Im about done with wasting my money on NeverStart.
Be VERY VERY careful using the Inverter. It has Absolutely Zero over current protection and it has a Max rating of 5.1amps. The inverter inside of mine caught on fire. I had to take it apart and remove the Inverter that is inside of a small plastic box that is double side Adhesive taped to the side of the battery. I lost the USB ports and the AC power but the rest seems to still work ok. I plugged in an older 1980s Lasco Box fan without checking it's startup amps with my KillAWatt current meter. I checked it afterwards and it pulls 7amp at startup. Be careful plugging a newer cell phone power brick into it. Some of those are over 5amps. Truthfully the damn thing is super cheaply made once you take it apart. The inverter is 4" long by 1 1/2" thick and is cooled with a small 1" fan.
I tried to use it for our kurig when the power went out and bow it just flashes an empty battery. Idk if its even worth trying to fix. Pretty bummed about it
I just bought one/should be here tomorrow. No 12v cig adapter but I have one that plugs in to 110v. Replacing an old Vector 400 I had for years. I use these a lot. Got one in bedroom for backup power for cpap. Air compressor alone is a life saver at times. I jump my old lawn mower w/one too.
Dude on bike 1 left him . He definitely didn’t want that smoke. Bike 2 pulled up and ended up taking some shots too. They thought it was Swisher Sweet 😎
Please can you tell me more like how it works I’m trying to get one for my storage unit, how long does it last and how do you charge it and how often ?
@@thehaitiancinderella You need a extension cord to charge it back up , just plug it in to a wall or buy a small 100 watt power inverter from Wall Mart and charge it from your car , depends on how much your try to power up the unit will last , I just charge it after every use , I charge it from my car with a power inverter ,It's a great little unit I also top of my tires with it .
@@r.vargas5410 oh wow thanks I want to use it for lighting like plug in a lamp, how long do you think it would last like stay on. All the watts and volt talk is confusing to me 😂
@@thehaitiancinderella get some energy saving light bulbs and it should last you a few hours, it only uses 25 watts to charge back up , it's not going to power up a mini fridge or a microwave wave 😂 ,but light most definitely.
When I first used it I pushed a little too hard on the Start button and pushed it inside. My bad, I didn't realize it was a microswitch. So if you loan it, tell them . Ps love it.
Does anyone have a problem with the unit not shutting off or spontaneously turning itself on? Like it will never turn off. The screen goes dark, but then will light up again and the charge will slowly drain. It fluctuates on its own with no real shut off. Thanks
@@kingsupreme25 hit the "AC Power on/off" button. It will show "AC" when it is on, hit the on/off button again to turn it off. It will say "12v" and stop whirring and after a couple seconds it will turn off. Kinda confusing. If you are using the Jump Starter button it turns off after a few seconds if you dont have it hooked up.
@@georgehambric6 if it is still on while the display is showing voltage, then I'm not sure what to tell you. Mine only stays on when the display is showing AC. I change it to volts and it turns of within a few seconds.
Say, theoretically, hypothetically, you have one of these and charged it for just in case purposes, and the power goes and out, and you somehow have like one of those big portable AC units (not a small fan at all)..... how well would this work with keeping that massive unit powered and for how long?????
I couldnt get mine to turn off.(blue screen stayed on all day)pressed the button next to LED button(prong icon/phone charger mode)blue screen immediately turned off.
I have had several Eversrstart units and one problem always happens after several uses... the unit will stop measuring PSI when attached to a tire... will just display "0.0"...it will still pump air into the tire but will not measure the air going in or the air in the tire... gotta check tire frequently to not overfill... Frustrating!!!
@@Chris_Clark1MaidenFan We have charged overnight 3 or 4 times with an extension cord and it still will not charge. And you are unable to return to the retailer. Really frustrating.
@@k_4nderson this one drains really fast if the air pump is used. Did you let it run completely down or did you like use it a few times and put it right back on charge. I know some batteries you have to let completely drain every once in a while so they don’t build up a memory.
I got one , plugged my 24in tv in and I heard a pop sound and it started to smoke. I had to take outside until it stopped. It seems to be working still , so I need to know what caused this because iam afraid to use the ac section again.
Hey! I got one and I have used it to jump my car off several times when it snows and gets cold. Low tire pressure so I used it for that. But that little light on the side? My dog did something to make it come on and I can't turn it off! HELP please
Hey I have the same one of course but I had to replace the housing for a toolbox and after I got everything reconnected and cut it on (ik its dead btw) it will show the connections display and beep like it did when u had it hooked to the battery my question is why? Do I have a bad connection in the box? Did I misplace a wire?
The jump starter wont work on mine .. i have another one same brand but smaller and it jumped started my car.. this one wont work and i naver used it 😔
Sure, for about 10mins on low. All depending on the condition of you the internal battery. Problem is it doesn't have a deep cycle battery, so the moment you put a load on it the voltage drops drastically and then the a/c inverter protection kicks in and shuts down!!
I can't get mine to power off Do I need to hold the off button for a few seconds? Charged it yesterday and put it in my kid car and it still showing info
I had this specific jump box and a meth head stole it and some lawn equipment out of my truck while it was parked at my fire department while I was on a medical call. The bad thing was it was his nephew that was hit by a car. 🤷♂️🤔. Wish I had another lol.
So it doesnt jump start it just charges? I tried to jump start had to use my tiny halo to start the car took all of 20 seconds, the everstart max wouldnt start it which is what i wanted it for so i guess its just a battery charger
Used mine once and the screen quit working. Pressed the power button and it came loose inside the case. Incredibly cheaply made. The back has a customer service number that has extremely limited hours- I've yet to be able to call at a time they would answer.
I have it pluged in the wall to get maximum charge. My.??? is will the battery on the screen stop blinking when fully charged. So far it hasn't stopped blinking. Thanks guys and gals... Panda 🐼
can you run the dc and ac at the same time? I'm thinking about picking one of these up form my old pop up camper. all the lights run on 12vs and I'd like to run the 110 outlet at the same time.
I had one for about three or four months when I decided to use it I couldn’t turn the power back off so now it stays on until the battery dies how do I fix that
Simple question will this charge a small basic laptop or a small dustbuster vacuum cleaner? Secondly If so or if not what will it charge? And what exactly do you need to turn on for it to charge those? It will charge my phones slowly but that's about it. I have taken it back to Walmart twice to ask someone to explain it and they can't. He's telling me that it (the power station) also has to be plugged in the wall (even if the battery is charged) with the computer plugged into the outlet on the power source which defeats the purpose. Why wouldn't I just plug the computer directly into the wall? So far it seems kind of useless.
It will charge your cell phone! It's a scam product, very poorly made, no real warranty and all the specs are fake. It has a 19ah agm battery that is several years old and sulfated. This is what walmart is selling!
Does this thing come with a power cord to charge the whole unit itself. It's got a plug on the back but there's no cord with it how am I supposed to connect it to my wall jack
I just bought a new EverStart Max and all of a sudden it quit working it won't take a charge and it's too late to return it to Walmart because it's been over 30 days
I just purchased one of these. Its the exact model. QUESTION: How the hell do you turn the screen off? It glows blue and I don't know how to shut off the display. HELP ME. IM AN IDIOT. Lol.
Does anyone know if the fan that turns on when you activate the ac power component should stay running? mine turns off after about 2 minutes but still shows active. I used it one night for a small heated blanket and the blanket died. I'm wondering if ac unit is not good because I would think it would have be sufficient for the blanket.
My has been working for over a year now. Tonight, turned it on and flashing empty battery symbol. The AC doesn’t turn on. Is there a way to reset? It says 12.5 volts
hello Mr. Tim I have an Everstart Maxx jump starter and I 've hab it for a year and didn't know i needed to charge it. .a year later and it want charge. Am i doing something wrong or is it just dead?
Instructions say to charge for 40 hours when first receiving it. Afterwards, charge once a month or after each use to keep it working properly ( holding a charge). I charge all 3 of my batteries each month.
i have this very model, does anyone know why the AC plug part cuts off before the unit is completely drained? i mean why have a unit that only works half way till it's done?
Double check your cable connections to your battery. The jump box should tell you the battery voltage when you first connect the clamps to the terminal(don't touch the battery post with clamps) if you get no reading then you need to adjust and probably clean terminals
@@Mr_Tims My jump starter portion doesn’t work anymore, didn’t have the receipt and Walmart didn’t let me return, exchange, or refund. So I’m assed out of 115 bucks.
