for me, its gotta be head of roses by flock of dimes. she's so underrated and the entire album practically took me to heaven and allowed me to dance with the bunnies. if you like bon iver, lana del rey, and/or haim you should seriously listen to it
I highly recommend adding Goldfrapp to your bucketlist. Best decision I made during lockdown. Their debut album “Felt Mountain” came out in 2000, and was unlike anything anyone had heard at the time. The album takes influence from a variety of styles such as 1960s pop, cabaret, folk and electronica. It was even shortlisted for a Mercury Prize. I would LOVE to hear your take on the lyrics please.
Well, you did all this in the first half of 2021. I’m gonna need an entire decade to listen to all the albums you mentioned! Good job. There’s a song made in the 70’s by John Miles that probably has the best opening line ever “music was my first love and it will be my last” and it surely applies to you.

I'm so happy to see Eau De Bonjourno and An Overview On Phenomenal Nature on this list. "Personnal Bubble" is one of my favorite songs of the year so far and I was hoping you would mention it when you mentioned Bernice. Now, regarding the Cassandra one, I can say I cried a little at points, that album is simply mesmerizing. My top 5 so far is: - Ice Fleet by Kauan (doom, ambient, "alternative" metal with some songs of minimalist influence); - Blue Weekend by Wolf Alice; - Cavalcade by black midi (another metal/ hard rock release but with a more experimental and industrial twist); - An Overview On Phenomenal Nature by Cassandra Jenkins; - For Those I Love.

Hunting High & Low is one of my favorite 80s albums. Had a huge crush on the lead singer as a kid. Living a Boys Adventure Tale, The sun always shines on tv, and Blue Sky are really good songs. Check out their James Bond song The Living Daylights, as well as the Unplugged version of Living A Boys Adventure Tale (that’s my favorite song by them.) Loved this video, too much information though!

If you haven’t, check out Let Love In, Murder Ballads, Boatmans Call, and Abattoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus. ❤️ My gateway to Nick was his ballad with PJ Harvey, “Henry Lee”, haunting little song. Perfume Genius 💙💙. Haven’t heard the remix EP, loved that album. Serpentwithfeet ❤️❤️❤️ good album. Love SON LUX too. Princess and the Clock. - 💛💛 New Porter Robinson album is great too, you recommended my favorite tracks 😂 Japanese Breakfast’s album is enjoyable, like the Wolf Alice too. My favorite so far is... Jubilee and EAT (NXT Soundtrack) I guess... I'm planning on listening to Daddy's Home but not now. I need a time so I can actually enjoy the music. But this year, I think I'm just going to look back at a lot of older releases that I've been left out.
Damn you listen to a lot of different music. I'm the kind of person that sticks to one album for awhile before I can move on but I've always 'envied' those who manage to be more adventurous and listen to something new constantly. I have a huge list of albums I want to listen to but I never get around to it because I'm prolly spinning some Joni Mitchell album for the 10000th time haha.
