Andor has done something I had not foreseen. To me, it has shown that Star Wars has two main storylines - the Rebellion (ordinary people showing courage and sacrifice battling a great evil) and the Jedi/Sith/Skywalker theme (pew pew pew, light sabers, the Force). Sometimes the storylines intertwine, sometimes they stand on their own. Some of the fans that prefer the Jedi/Sith/Skywalker storyline seem pissed to me about Andor, like somehow it is "not Star Wars" to them. Well, to me, the Rebellion storyline is my favorite.
Really great point with the two storylines! I think when I was a kid the force story appealed to me, but as I've grown I find the rebellion story much more valuable.
Each episode had only one part of the whole, just like the show demonstrated how the rebellion formed one piece at a time through each person's own experiences. Individually, it's only part of the melody. But together, you feel the full force of the theme (and the rebellion).
@@TheBenjaman Indeed, but it's a legitimate question considering how they genuinely sound together as if they were all originally intended to be played that way.
@@DoremiFasolatido1979 They were definitely all meant to be played together. It's a metaphor for the formation of the rebellion. The rebellion wasn't one big coordinated effort. It was the sum total of individuals who had their own reasons to fight. Each story is unique and important, but together they are greater than the sum of the parts. The same goes with the theme. Each individual track was beautiful and unique, but put together you hear the whole orchestra playing as one.
