Prime Megatron would rather be an archaeologist than conquer the universe.

There is one more relic in the Aligned continuity: The Liquefier. It was most likely a part of Project Iacon, buried under the ocean near Griffin Rock. Optimus, Bumblebee, and the Rescue Bots searched for it. It had accidentally been activated and was slowly turning the entire island into water. Only the Matrix of Leadership could deactivate it, which seems like a poor design choice.

I really liked how the show cleverly used relics, artifacts and weapons for world-building as well as plot relevance. I've always been a big fan of Lore so having a lot of these artifacts explained and used in the show was really great in my opinion !

I love how there’s all these unique and mystical relics, and then there’s the Spark Extractor aka the “Kill Everyone Button”.

I like to imagine that the Energon Harvester and the Polarity Gauntlet were a part of the Iacon project. The mental image of Megatron and Optimus going “Yes, a new relic! Wait, we already got that one, crap” is just funny to me.

The Decepticons get a hold of the Omega Lock, the best and seemingly only way of restoring Cybertron to make it hospitable again. And what's the first thing Megatron does with it? Building a castle on Earth and then trying to destroy Earth. And after rebuilding the Omega Lock, he again tries to destroy Earth as the first thing. PRIORITIES, MEGATRON! You can destroy Earth AFTER you've restored Cybertron, you greedy dummy!

I'm honestly surprised that the Decepticons never came up with a T-Cog Lock like in G1. Imagine how devastating that would be if you were limited to only one mode.

I like the Energon Harvester, it's such a great device for good purpose but also the sinister idea of harvesting Energon from bots and cons 🤭

Such a big collection of artifacts and relics, my favorite artifact is the Resonance blaster, and my favorite relic is the Star saber, but also the Forge of Solus Prime is very powerful, it can create whatever you want with raw material, i think the Autobots and Decepticons could have been archeologists after the war.

For the primes would the allspark itself be considered the relic of the 13th prime as he gave his spark to create it

7:22 the high council before the war was called the autobot high council, so I think there’s something related to that so it’s why it’s called ancient autobot

I Loved the mystical aesthetic of Transformers Prime, it was one of the reasons that I really loved the show!

Different coloured Energon just feels like a more coherent take on Kryptonite

I forget what it was called, but there was also a relic found in Rescue Bots season 2 under griffin rock, it's activation by an oil drilling station caused the island to slowly be liquefied. It took Optimus using the matrix to shut it down. The episode was Odd Bot Out. I know it wasn't in Transformers Prime, but the two are connected shows, and this was one of the times the shows crossed over.

I once made up a relic for one of my fanfics called silver energon a special kind of energon that can heal any wound but it won't work on bots who are already dead, Awesome video as always and happy 4th of July weekend.

Keep in mind I grew up with G1 when you read what I am about to say. I was six years old when the original animated movie was released. I don't think there will ever be a Transformers show more special and important to me than this one. It is subjectively the best story ever told in Transformers animation. I also met the person who would become my life partner and holds an emotional place in my heart. I wish so much that the show had continued, but I am happy that it exists at all. I love your videos. There was a relic in Transformers Rescue Bots where Optimus and his team discovered somewhere near or around griffin rock and ask the rescue bot to locate the relic and Optimus explains that the artifact can turn any matter to liquid in one of the episodes and could be only be stopped by a prime when he was with blades, which is interesting since we don’t even know who created the artifact to begin with.

The mul-T-cogs from Rescue Bots Academy would also be relics. I’m guessing the one Hotshot had was found after the war since they weren’t used during Prime or WFC. I think there was another one that gave the recruits their Power up and Energized abilities, but I forgot what it was called. There was also the relic that let Laserbeak become an Autobot and I think it’s the same relic that gave the Power up and Energize, but I’m not sure Edit: The relic that gave the recruits their Power up and Energize and changed Laserbeak’s insignia is called the sparksayer

I know this is a stretch but I have a theory about where the Silver viacons came from in prime I think they were created by the omega lock blast as they weren’t seen before until after the omega lock blasted earth and if the formula of Energon made by shockwave could bring bumblebee back to life who’s to say the omega locks energy can’t make like or revive life

oh I own and read all three of the novels and currently I'm reading the covenant of primus. Oh but you did forget one artifact the would of been really helpful in the show: the Dark Energon skins- it's armor that protects a bot from Unicron's corrupting aura.

Since earth is used a hideaway for Cybertronian relics and technology in so many versions of Transformers I think it would be a interesting scenario where humanity finds and reverse engineers them to accelerate humanity development by centuries before the Transformers show up. Yeah I know that’s similar to the animated series except no Megatron head in this case.

It was specifically stated in the show by Starscream that the Apex armor is of decepticon origin likely meaning it was made be the much like the Spark Extractor.

The lenses allowed the the alchemist to truly see the nature of elements and create any chemical which fitted the his name as the alchemist.

Yknow I think it would be a lot more interesting if like the original cartoon Optimus isn't a Prime by birthright or destiny shaping cheat codes anymore, I think thats an undoubted shot to the foot by the TFP writers taht we can change in future incarnations. It'd be interesting if like somehow Alpha Trion could have somehow overlooked him as a candidate Shazam style, like worthiness is not set in stone and its a matter of faith in the good of others sort of thing.

There are some details concerning the relics that I found while reading TCoP: 1. In Covenant of Primus it is said that while arguing in her forge, Solus used some ´´magnetic weapon´´ of her own creation against Megatronus. I wonder if it was a prototype for later created Polarity Gauntlet by Decepticons. 2. Cybertronians during the Golden Age (with the help of Space Bridge) invented and used some conversion energy beam technology that cyberformed planets for colonisation. Yet it is not directly said that it is the Omega Lock. Yet The discription seems very simmilar. 3. Even though it is directly said that Solus created the Apex Armor, in Covenant it is said that Megatronus took the armor when he left the Primes and named himself Fallen, never to be seen again after drifting to space. So maybe Starscream was right about origins of the armor. 4. From the show while Bumblebee is in Megatron's mind and Megatron is unable to touch Bee, he mentions that he does not weat some phasing technology. Maybe a small hint of Phase Shifter being mentioned in Season 1?

Well, it was a mistake corrected by Jose Lopez than from the book the Arts of the Primes, the arm Megatron used, wasn't Solus' Prime arm, but Zeta Prime's arm. It was a mistake that was correct from the book.

I’ve always had a gripe bout HOW and WHY does all these items end up on earth LIKE SERIOUSLY!!!!!

The most powerful relic and dangerous weapon across all continuities of course being in IDW's Comics wielded by of course none other than Starscream. P E R F E C T T A X E V A S I O N ! I kid you not, this is actually fragging real and 100% Canon and I still cannot believe it yet at the same time absolutely believe it.😆 Edit:. I'd also like to imagine judging by their names alone that the other 3 mystical sword relics would have the power to do the following. The Chaos Edge would be a large oversized cross between a double headed battle Axe and a broadsword similar in shape and design to the Buster Sword from the Final Fantasy series. But with many spikes, cerated edges, and other sharp intimidating griebling that can fold in neatly and smoothen the weapon and better precision and unfurl and be used for broader range of effects and damages. The Sword itself can grant the Wilder the ability to skip, teleport, or even temporarily freeze or rewind the wielder or anyone struck by it this allowing many different attempts at defeating a foe. Hence the chaos part kinda being a fun little nod to Chaos Control and manipulating the fabric of space time. This in turn allows it to act as a personal singular space bridge but only if in contact with it's handle. When the blade itself comes in contact with someone it can warp them them through space and time or over any distance the wielder wills it to. An example being a larger bot like Optimus or Megatron is dealt a fatal blow but if the blade has made contact with the foe close enough before the strike, the wielder can rewind the two of them to right before the killing blow and reattempt their life in that moment. If Optimus is light-years away from Earth and needs to get back instantly to defend it, he could imagine the destination and disappear and reappear. Think the warp gate technology and transwarp energy from Armada and Animated. Or better yet just Skywarp's ability to teleport. Likewise if Megatron struck Optimus Prime but did not want to kill him, when struck Optimus could be warped back to Cybertron or the Earth's moon or another Continent on earth or even just a few paces to the side behind a force field blocking him out. But let's say Optimus and Arcee are in a losing battle and Jack is present. One of them can touch the hilt of the sword and wherever they imagine they can escape to. If no mental image is in mind and it is an instant moment then they are warped to a sort of Pocket Dimension similar to the Shadowzone but able to view and pinpoint anything currently happening anywhere at all. Like imagining a base would reveal a window showing whatever is going on. Imagining the battlefield just left will show that too. In order to exit into whatever window you'd just have to walk through it. This Pocket Dimension is a fairly blank astral plane similar to the realm of the primes. Only if that location is imagined you would have to look up and jump to enter. And fall back through to exit to the Pocket Dimension. If more than one being grabs hold of the hilt and is warped like Jack and Arcee both grabbing the hilt they aren't able to be transported and one of them must give the other the warp jump. Same thing with the blade striking an enemy, the wielder can only send the foe away if it strikes solely them. This relic can be a catalyst for chaos or allow the Wilder to find their way through it. It makes a distinct humming noise when being used and in it's broader range send temporal energy shards which completely knock a victim unconscious for anywhere from a few minutes to weeks depending on how hard the Chaos Edge was swung. While in this comatose state the victim flickers in and out of existence but is unharmed. Likely parts of them are simultaneously existing in multiple planes of existence sent hurtling until they return. This determines how long it takes for them to recover and while in this state they cannot be killed as you can't kill someone who exists scattered across dimensions. Also meaning they can be enveloped underwater, in burning or freezing temperatures, or even the vacuum of space itself. But they will remain scattered and unconscious until they are able to safely reform and awaken.
