I lost 11 yards total compared to my Titleist tsi3, but gained a lot more consistency. My dispersion with my old driver was 100 yards and with the g430 max is only 25 at 280! I needed more spin and ping delivered!
I tested the Ping G430 Max the other day, it was up against the Stealth 2, and Cobra Aerojet and absolutely blew them away, not only did I achieve consistently my best ball speeds and distances ever the dispersion was incredible, this is the ultimate driving machine for all amateur golfers and will improve your driving. My only negative is the headcover quality its really poor when spending 560e on a driver i would expect this to be a lot better......That aside the best driver I have every hit period
I was terrible off the tee 4-10 drives at best , massive slice , I stopped hitting driver , then had a lesson with g430 , half hour !! I started hitting 270 yrds with draw ! I could not believe it !! I swopped my driver and 3 wood and left range with the ping g430 !!! So excited for this years golf now ⛳️👌👍
I tested the 425 and 430 at the same time... ended up so close that I got the 425 simply because it was a lot less in price. Both are great drivers... after a few rounds I am finally getting used to the sound.
Been with Ping for 16 years. Just got fitted for my new Pings G430 and the results are amazing. I have better drives and iron shots hands down. The accuracy I have with these newer models are also a big factor which made me stick with the best. Ping has never ceased to amaze me. Thanks
I picked my G430 LST up on Friday.. had 410 before and didn’t swap for the 425 as not enough difference or advantage however the 430 delivered better ball speeds, tight dispersion front to back and L2R.. driving range testing has increased the positive vibes.. love it ⛳️⛳️👍👍
I played Ping when I first started golf. They had some clubs I didn't like and started trying different brands. I'm back because this may be their best driver ever. You drove the ball as well as you ever have. Your review has convinced me what will be in the bag this year. G430.
I’ve always said that it should be about the dispersion and not really about distance although we always like more distance that’s why I’ve been fitted into the latest titleist and the t100s irons and I’m loving the they have given me back my interest in golf 😊
Did a mass driver test last weekend...starting on Friday with a Titleist fitting day....light shaft TSR1.gave me 4mph better than my gamer... Saturday I tried all the others...nothing stood out untill I got to Ping...same if not better speed than Titleist but constantly great ball speed and smash...giving me numbers I haven't seen for 10 years( fast approaching 60 ..getting slower) I bought the club I was hitting and haven't been disappointed...it's even better on the course than it was in the studio....sneaking it past a few mates I was always 5 to 10 yards behind 👍
@@LWG me too...I've loved most Ping drivers....I like the weight of the head...I always seem to know where the head is....something I struggle with in other clubs....I'd recently swapped out of 425 to Rouge.. because of ball speed and sound.....but the 430 for me is different class... Hi Lee I have just upgraded my ping g400 irons and g410 driver to the new g430 equipment. Had a fitting and was extremely impressed with the upgrades 3 weeks to go till they are ready for me to collect can't wait.
Im gaming the G430 max driver this year. I tested the new Callaway, Cobra and TM offerings and the ping was just so much more consistent. I play off scratch and out of the middle they're all good but on the slight miss hits the ping pi$$es all over the others, the ball flight looks identical to the good strikes. With the others the slight misses come out lower and look like miss hits
I game my g425 and love it. Gives me so much confidence of the tee. I am sure I could gain 10 yards distance but the confidence to get it in play is so much more important
You are not wrong. I chased distanced and regretted it. I was able to hit my old driver 290 carry but dispersion was literally 100 yards wide. With the ping I hit it about 275ish and 25 yards wide.
I tested the Stealth 2 against the Ping430 I currently have an Epic Max I'm a 16hcper play on a tight course at my club. Love the great look of the the Stealth that went slightly further than the Ping Max by only by a few yards but dispersion wasnt as good as the Ping heart says Stealth Head says Ping. So off to buy my fitted Ping 430.
I have a G400 max I played twice at them weekend and missed two fairways and not by much !!!! People are saying the G425 is as if not more forgiving if that possible My mate has bought The G425 he played with it on Sunday and drove very well !!!!!! might be tempted just like the other manufacturers they are a bit pricey

Lee great review and I am definitely going to test it after watching. The best driver I ever had was my Ping G30 but the sleeve broke and fitted into various drivers since, but none have worked. So hopefully the G430 is going to do the trick 🤞
Great video Lee, miss the content . Do you think the Ping 425 Max helped your left miss ?? I play the Sim2 and I can send it off the planet left but when it goes it goes. But as you said I am looking for more accuracy than distance now, no point been 300yrds down but in the trees and chipping out 😥
I would say the G425 helped against the right miss. I could sometimes over turn it left but I put the weight neutral and that kind of cured that also but did bring a slight fade into play.
Great to see you doing more videos Lee. Probably too soon for me to change my G425 but, I’m hitting straighter and longer drives now (lessons have helped) perhaps my head could be turned with one of these new drivers - too many to choose from but I do love the mat5 finish compared to gloss 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
If I got an off the shelf G430 Max, would a club fitter be able to dial in better performance for the player if I brought it to him? Or would you just go to a club fitter and say I want fitted for the club?
Forgiveness / Dispersion with a driver will out trump distance if it gives you fairway for your second shot on the green or within short wedge on a par 5. Distance with with your driver is not going to make your wallet any fatter if you have a great short game !
Great video Lee… as a matter of interest have you tried the LST version… hit both last week and found the LST as forgiving and just that little bit lower flighted…. Would really love to see you do a video on that one
Getting old lee like us older boys 😂 no more bombing it Just keep it on the fairway Never had a ping drive but will be the first to test now I’m getting old , slow and my body just can’t do what it used to If it’s 20 yards shorter so what and I won’t be loosing balls and shots in the trees hopefully
Good review Lee...hard to leave ping driver once you like them. I'm playing g30 lst still after buying a stealth last year and realising it was not for me. Do you think dispersion would be much worse between the 430 max and 430 lst?
@@LWG yeah gotta have some spin, like you Lee I’m always looking for better …I’m looking to get the ping g43o max driver , 3wood , 5 wood, 7 wood and mizuno hp pro irons with the copper Denim T22 wedges ……..I’m a very sad person cause it was only just over a year ago I got the ping g425 woods and Taylormade p790’s ….🥺 …. Keep up your great content and good luck with you PGA ….my son done his and qualified back in 2013
