If you didn’t love A Court of Mist and Fury, I don’t think you are going to like the 3rd book, which is even longer. I’m personally obsessed and highly recommend the series, but the 3rd book is very focused on the fantasy politics and battle scenes. So if you just don’t enjoy fantasy that much, might not be for you!
For acotar, if you didn't end up obsessed after the second book, then you shouldn't bother with the rest lol. Book 2 is the general favorite. Others love book 4.
You should read more Jodi Picoult! Most of her books follow a similar structure so if you like one you’ll probably like the rest. Almost every one of her books is 5 stars for me. I especially recommend Small Great Things, Nineteen Minutes, and House Rules.
Hey random question for anyone in the comments section who would like to answer. Have you guys ever heard of an influencer name Alexa Luria? She is from Boca Raton, Florida and currently she lived in Los Angeles, California. She has a foodie account called Girl With A Gourmet Palate. 🦋 💚😋🤤 🌱 🍵 ☕️
The way I had my amazon open throughout the whole video! You are truly my main source of book recommendations!! Can't wait to add some of these to my TBR lists this year!🥰
I love your book videos!! a fun video idea is you could work with other RU-vidrs and y’all give each other recs and you have to read them?? Just a fun idea!!
I’m so excited you got a kindle so I can get some kindle unlimited recs from you! My favorite kindle unlimited books from last year were: The knockemount series (3 books in total) by Lucy Score The quarry girls by Jess Lourey To love Jason Thorne and then the sequel To hate Adam Connor by Ella Maise Call it what you want by Alyssa Derogate
Love this! We read pretty similar books. Not typically a fantasy reader too, and ACOTAR also still wasn’t hitting for me after book 2- but I’m going to read fourth wing for the good time. I enjoyed define rivals if you haven’t read that, but it’s YA.
LOVE this!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to do this. Kristin Hannah is one of my faves, I love the nightingale. Iron flame was awful, def disappointed.
I read Winter in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand last year and I plan on reading the next two in the trio this year. It’s basically a thriller set in the Virgin Islands with lots of family drama, you’d probably like it too.
Omg thank you for keeping the number in the corner the whole time makes it so easy to skip around to the books I read!! LOVEDDDD mad honey but my book club hated ??
i’m finishing up The Great Alone now !(: i have like 100 pages left i’ve really enjoyed it. i got this book after my family went on an alaskan cruise last summer and i finally got around to reading it! makes me want to go back!
I take a lot of your reading recs, so excited to add a few more from this roundup. My favorite book of 2023 was one I found in a little free library that I'd never heard of but sounded interesting... The Scent Keeper by Erica Bauermeister. I think you'd enjoy it!
If you want to try Jodi Picoult again read Small Great Things. It is about an African American labor and delivery nurse who is told by a White Aryan couple to not care for their baby. Well a situation happens and huge repercussions follow. It is so beautifully written!
We have such different taste in books. I like fantasy, I can read thriller, but not obsessed with romcoms. However I’m SO picky with fantasy. Hashtag, don’t like acatar. But I may give it another go!
What were your thoughts on “The Villa” by Rachel Hawkins? I saw you had it in the background. I loved it, and thought it was similar vibe to Daisy Jones & The Six.
I suggest The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. It is incredible, I read it, waited a month and read it again which is something I have never done before!!
I read Mad honey as per your rating on insta and I didn't finish it because it was so dragging. Also, it felt like 50% of the book is all about bee keeping which I'm not sure if it is necessary for the storyline since I didn't finish it. Agree with Freida Mcfadden books. I love them because they are quick reads.
Uggg- I’m still on the fence about getting a Kindle. I love the feeling of a book but that’s A LOT to store. Can’t pull the plug just yet. Definitely some good tittles.
Love this for the content but wow I can’t believe you didn’t like ACOTAR but loved fourth wing! Anyone who watches this, keep going on A court of thornes, my favorite series of all time!
My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult made me a fan of her writing. You’ve probably watched the movie but still give the book a chance if you want a sad but endearing and empowering book. the ending of the book is a bit different from the movie and you get more description than the movie. Give Jodi one more chance 😢
I'm reading the final ACOTAR book right now and I definitely think it's worth it to continue the series! The third book especially really wraps up a lot of loose ends and made me want to go back and re-read the first two. The novella and final book are definitely optional but I enjoyed the novella and currently enjoying A Court of Silver Flames.
I’ve been waiting for this video for so long!! Thank you for making it- I took notes while watching it and I have a great new list to read through now ❤ you’re the best ✨
I just don't think you're a fantasy girly, and that's completely okay!!! Everyone has their groove, and life's too short to read books you don't enjoy 🤗
I read tomorrow tomorrow and tomorrow. Was very excited because everyone love it and I just didn’t like it, the characters were so unlikevable and I couldn’t stand Sadie, it was not for me jajaja and I did start reading Elin hiderbrand books for you recommendations.
