@@ne6548 Yeah, had a teammate who didn't believe when i said to him to buy some bracers, stating that medusa doesnt gain strength. Spend all game trying to explain, but he got dunk like 4 or 5 times by axe
@@pyke4life859Either watch the Offlaner explained video or: Axe's ultimate instakills you at low enough health. It has a set threshold, so super squishy heroes might get dunked(instakilled) at like 40% HP or something ridiculous. Axe can enable it by himself with his taunt and counterattack. Blink Dagger makes the taunt absolutely unreactable. Items that give you HP(either straight up HP or Strength) make his instakill way slower to come out, so if he's on the enemy team, buy some.
Axe ultimate “culling blade” automatically kill you if you have 300 hp or below (might new clarification). It bypass everything (not sure about oracle ult) so if a dazzle use grave on you “ally hp cannot be lowered to 0” you still die.
12:30 NAGA TIP: When fighting with illusions with Riptide, Nagas can easily have all units attacking in perfect sync, which causes the 6 attack count to proc at the same time and cause only one instance of Riptide damage. If you displace their attacks just by moving each illusion a little before attacking, the 6 attack count will go much quicker, procing more riptides in the same time gap. Basically optimizing the attack count by not letting the Nagas strike at the same exact time
I've often found slark to be a pretty good dusa answer as well, since he's a natural diffusal buyer, essence shift acts as an extra mana burn, he can disengage easily if she pops ult, and he really doesn't mind just sitting on a target stealing stats for an extended period. Also a small tip for aspiring Monkey King players (the hero is really fun, I highly recommend him): boundless strike only consumes 1 charge of jingu mastery no matter how many units it hits and lifesteals off all of them. So if you get into a lane skirmish and can proc your jingu then boundless strike a hero or two + the full creepwave you'll usually just heal up to full. Even outside of lane you can sometimes use this to turn fights if there is a big clump of units to target and lifesteal off of.

@@raflyarafat4882 I find it difficult to target, because when targeted at a tree i need to be super precise to aim it at like the roots of the tree, or it will pick any tree in the vicinity in front of it i guess samira is semi similar, a squishy ranged marksman carry that wants to jump in with her dash, and then through comboing her abilities she is able to activate her ultimate that deals damage to everyone around her by shooting really fast. muerta does the same but instead of shooting everything around her through an active ability that basically is just DoT dmg in a circle around her, muerta actually fires attacks to enemies around her which imo is way cooler. I've one tricked swain for over 4 years, and he has a skillshot root from which he can then pull the rooted enemies towards him, and I often do the same with muerta Q by aiming it behind them, fearing them into me. Swain also deals AoE damage over time around him during his ult, and heals for every enemy damaged, and in a similar way with ags shard, muerta heals quite a bit with the spell lifesteal during her ult. but other than similar playstyles, i find muerta very unique. the double shot is absolutely genious and i love it, and transform ultimates are my favourite.
I remember back in the day when Monkey King came out his Boundless Strike felt unique! It was the first time an ability was based on proccing an attack. I guess PA dagger got also changed to be an attack around that time too. That's one of the reasons DotA 1 got decontinued around that time too I think since the Warcraft engine didn't supported it. Also one thing to mention about Naga Siren Ult is that it doesn't pierce spell inmunity. But this is not NECESARILY bad since that means she can isolate a target that has bkb active while his allies are sleeping invulnerable
As a naga spammer in previous patches with a peak of 75 percent WR: Support Naga is pretty much the only way to play her currently. Every single patch since 7.36 has nerfed Naga carry more and more. And deluge makes her net last insanely long, so support Naga is very strong if you have a ranged core or someone bursty like ursa that can take advantage of your long disable.
As a long time PL player even in this meta ES does not necessarily full counter PL since he still has a chance to dodge his abilities including his ult a full counter for PL would be heroes with built in Break like viper to stop him from making illusions and silence builder but when it comes to abilities carries that have built in aoe like seven and ember ruin PL but that might be just my own thoughts
The only thing that i really learned is why i can't win with EU/US guys in my team. You're playing some diffrent version of this game that i didn't know exist. Like where did you get idea of dusa and naga being tempo heroes? They're both aiming for their late game potential, both have long cd ultimates that are good for defence (avoiding/delaying fights), and most importantly, both of them REALLY hate forcing any kind of fights until 20-25 min mark (bc they're essentially useless before this timing). Naga is an exceptional case here, because she can delay games PROFESSIONALLY. Not only you can farm camps faster then enemy cores are, you can farm REGIONS of map at a time, you can steal farm from enemy team, block their camps with your illusions, skip creeps while hiding In enemy forest, give great vision around map, make space for your team (as a carry, yes, while keeping 750+ gpm, yes) and then flee the scene without Any punishment at all (manta dispell/dodge ult tp out). Dusa is diffrent kind of deal, instead of macro moves she can just get 9 slotted in a long enough game and go win any teamfight on a high ground. Aghs is so good, in a bad game you can buy it 2nd slot after just yasha. But lvl 25 is just a second stage of a boss fight and you are The Boss. Aghs + Shard + Skadi + Fly + Crits + Manta + Agility Blink + Scythe of Vyse (which also gives you more regen of effective HP than heart of tarrasque on a normal hero, refresher is a good alternative tho, but i usually take it from rosh). All i'm saying is PLS GUYS, DO NOT play those two as tempo chars who are "on a timer". Your best friend is your Free time that enemies ignore you, letting you get your 4 slots for their 2,5. Otherwise loved your content, keep it up bro. ❤ p.s dusa's +10% damage talent is goated, snake damage isnt so noticible actually (except khanda build).
Also if you have battle fury on Phantom assassin, your dagger procs the BF so if you see a tank trying to block a super low squishy throw your dagger, you might just get that kill with BF effect. Amazing video btw.
I find medusa thrives as a mid, she's pretty much immune to ganks and having the perfect amount of creeps to use mystic snake make enemy miss life hell. Then you proceed to walk down every lane being untouchable cause your a medusa with a level lead
You mean the Ensnare? It was a better disable back in the days. It might sound OP but leveling it early means not leveling Mirror Image(Illusions) and Riptide (Passive) and both are very needed for farming and fighting. It is common for Naga to be 4-0-4-0 by lvl8. Also Ensnare has a very clunky cast animation, like all other Naga skills
Also Dota has a lot of ways to escape a simple root like that. In League a disable like this can be fatal without using Flash or some expensive escape but Naga consistently cant even reach the enemy just from collision and Phase Boots are never bought on naga
@@doriangrayestAnd there is also the longer time to kill in DOTA. Many enemies you can ensnare just right next to you, get a full damage combo on them, and then they just….walk away
@@doriangrayest Ah ok, still haven't played very much Dota. So all the CC kinda makes me worried sometimes, because in my experience with league even a 0.5 second CC can mess up your tempo enough to just kill you. Maybe im also just bad though, very possible.
You never mention brewmaster as the counter to illusion heroes, with blue panda he oneshots illusions untill like 25-30 min But i understand, because nobody plays him
For me, the most obnoxious thing about Riki isnt the permanent invis, but Smoke Screen. What a retarded ability. 100% uptime AoE Silence, Slow, Miss. 100% UPTIME. (almost. You have like 2 seconds of downtime). That is basically Disruptor ult at 6sec CD. I play a lot of Meepo, Naga, Arc all the micro heroes and this ability is one of my nightmares. For example, as Meepo I need to bait the smoke with clones, them blink near them with Main Meepo and use MegaMeepo so I can at least try to fight. Yes Meeepo can chain root with earthbind but only with Vyse disable. Otherwise, just SmokeScreen and die
Buddy it's no longer slow and miss, yes it used to be, but it has been years since they removed it, that hero is as bad as it can get, and people still can't do shit against him because they are too lazy to buy 75 gold to counter the guy.
@@vo1ce147 it still is 100% uptime silence and miss, with diffusal it can slow stilll I agree the hero is trash tho. Just saying the most obnoxious part for me is the smoke not the invis
