Make sure to help us rate every ride at Cedar Point here: forms.gle/uehBgqhKTKeu1eRp8 For anyone wondering what my rating system is: -Overall score out of 10 with 10 being the best and 1 the worst -Green Circle: Beginner coaster -Blue Square: Intermediate coaster -Black Diamond: Extreme Coaster -Double Black Diamond: Very Extreme Coaster
Love the unique list! Really unique video(s) I’d love to see would be to put all of the Green Circle/Beginner Coasters you’ve ridden in one video/place, all of the Blue Squares, etc. This would be great to look at before trying to get others to ride. Just a thought I know my family and I would love! Also, couldn’t believe how high Rougarou got lol
For Wicked Twisted, sit in the very back. It’s literally insane when you go backwards. You get an insane view and the drop straight down feels like a amazing drop. It’s great! :)
Gemini was great. A bit rough but very surprised by how intense it was. Both my 8yr old and 6yr old rode it and they were very, very surprised by its intensity. As their first coaster, it definitely was a bit too intense. My daughter did ride Iron Dragon right after, so it was definitely a good ice breaking coaster. My son was looking forward to riding it again by our second day at the park. I was glad to see Gemini ranked as high as it was.
Gatekeeper feels like flying in a dream. I always make sure to get a ride on it, line never seems to be too long. You will be surprised if you get on Woodstock next visit. It's actually kind of fun. I am a mom so I have many, many rides with my son on Woodstock. Lol. Maverick is my favorite at the park. I could marathon that all day. Have not been on SV yet (don't have the luxury of standing in a two-hour line for something my kids won't ride; hopefully 2020 is the year at least one of them will be ready)
@@CisForCoasters that's funny. I live in Ohio about 2 1/2 hours from Kings island and 5 hours from cedar point. Ive been on about everything at Kings island but I've only been to CP once and barely rode on anything but I got to check it out good. The beach is nice. I would like to go back someday and ride on SV and Maverick but I don't know when. The train and white water rapids rides at CP are nice. Kings islands water rapids ride is longer though.
@@miked7212 I got my first visit to KI this summer, which was kind of funny since I live in Ohio. But what finally prompted that trip was the pandemic. CP didn't do their fast pass (and at the time I was nervous about being stuck in a two hour line) but KI did, so that's where we went! I absolutely loved it. Great park and oh, my... mystic timbers is worth another trip back
You will almost always have less than an hour wait for magnum even when blue streak is in the park. Don’t ask me why blue streak gets hour and a half long lines at some points. I have gotten near 10 rides on that thing in a hour before the gold passes rolled in.
@@DeadRat122 I have to agree. I don’t think Magnum gets slept on. I got my first (and so far) only ride in 2021. Looking forward to trying to get re-rides because man is that thing over-hyped and rough as heck.
Yes, It is the best roller coaster park in the world, but not just for the roller coaster. The experience you get here is amazing, the beaches, the view, it’s amazing. The roller coasters are awesome, but the scenery and other activities you can do there are amazing
I liked how you put the green dot the blue square and the black diamond for what type of rider you should be on each one. Because it's like the map of a ski hill with the same rankings of how hard the hills are. Really good video man
This is pretty similar to my list. I put Rougarou much lower because I found it unbearably rough, came off feeling like I had been boxed in the ears repeatedly. Not sure what made it different for you, but I'll be happy to give it another chance based on what you've said. I also put Maverick below Magnum. The airtime pops are just so much more thrilling to me than whippy turns and inversions. I really wanted to get a second ride on Maverick to solidify this feeling, though, and didn't have time. If Gatekeeper is your 2nd favorite B&M, you definitely need to check out some other parks in the Midwest and East Coast. Gatekeeper is fun, but If you like speed and airtime (and based on your rankings here, it seems that you do), their Hyper Coaster model almost always delivers. It's actually crazy to think that there aren't any in the US West of Illinois. I haven't ridden it yet, but people usually say Fury is the best one (Yes, I'm aware it's a Giga, but it is actually the same model as all B&M hypers, just larger). If you can't make it out there, though, you should at least come hit up Kings Island next time you're in Ohio, to check out Diamondback and Orion. :)
1. I only rode Rougarou in the back row and looking at any other row it was really shaky, so I’d definitely recommend back for a smoother ride. 2. Maverick definitely took a couple rides to solidify my thoughts, and the night ride really made it better in my mind. 3. I’m sure most of the B&M hypers out there will be toward the top of my lists, but CP was the first park I ever went to East of the Mississippi. Hopefully I’ll get on one next year, but thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Probably the biggest surprise for me when I first went to CP was Top Thrill Dragster. Even after riding Steel Vengeance, it still manages to be my favorite coaster of Cedar Point! Granted, I do need to ride SV more, since my first rides on it were so insane that it was all a blur to me. I couldn't process anything on SV other than air time lol
Man, I really enjoyed your review of all the coasters, and for this being my home park, it meant a lot to me. I am so happy you enjoy your time, and I look forward to the rest of your videos.
lmao the maverick was my second coaster i had ever ridden, the first one was very similar to blue streak. i don’t find maverick to be a double experienced rider in my opinion but it was so much 🤩
I did not enjoy roogaroo. I wouldn’t put it in my top 10. But everyone has there own opinion and I like you stick to your guns. My top 5 is 1. Steel vengeance 2. Maverick. 3. Magnum. 4. Ttd 5 millennium force. My 3-5 change all the time between them.
I haven't ridden Steel Vengeance because I was there before 2018, so here's how I would rank the coasters I've ridden from best to worst. First Millennium Force, followed by Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, Gatekeeper, Valravn, Raptor, Rougarou, Wicked Twister, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Blue Streak, Iron Dragon, Magnum XL 200 (because it was too rough) Mean Streak, and Gemini (some how in some way I threw up on that). I haven't Corkscrew yet either simply because it's just a tiny looper but I'll do it next time. Which park do you think has a better coaster collection? Cedar Point or Six Flags Magic Mountain? I personally like Six Flags Magic Mountain more because I think they had a more diverse collection of coasters and I enjoyed all of them so much that if you asked me to rank every single one of them from best to worst, I don't think I'd be able to do so. And I also think that Six Flags Magic Mountain has a better version of every coaster that Cedar Point has. For example, I prefer Scream! over Rogarou (if it was still Mantis, I's probably prefer The Riddler's Revenge over that) Ninja over Iron Dragon, Goliath over Magnum XL 200, Goldrusher over Cedar Creek Mine Ride, and Colossus (because I was there before it became Twister Colossus) over Gemini. The only exceptions are Raptor over Batman: The Ride, Top Thrill Dragster over Superman: Escape from Krypton, and (I haven't ridden either yet but I think I would be right about this) Steel Vengeance over Twister Colossus.
I love that you gave respect to Gatekeeper & Gemini. Both are very underrated. For Raptor, several headbanging moments took away from the ride for me. I came off with bad headaches every ride. I would rather ride any Vekoma SLC. When you get back, keep in mind that you can't ride Wilderness Run, unless you have a little kid with you. It's a shame, considering that it's a very unique kiddie coaster. But you're fine to ride Woodstock Express, and it was quite good for what it is.
When you said "it wants to kill you" I screamed cause that's exactly what I said to my parent's on July 4th 2019 !! I rode it 5 times in the first row and in the back! I rode it by myself and my first ride was super painful but I got used to it after my 2nd ride !!!
Thanks for your review. I must admit that this is super subjective as it's your opinion. I would rank 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Millennium Force 3. Maverick 4. TTD 5. Gatekeeper 6. Valrayvn 7. Raptor 8. Rougarou 9. MXL200 10. Wicked Twister 11. Gemini 12. BS 13. CCMR 14. Corkscrew 15. ID
Great video! Crazy that you put Maverick as a double Diamond for intensity. It was my first “BIG” coaster and I’m just now getting used to coasters at 31. I found it to be a gateway coaster for me to start getting on bigger rides and is currently my favorite coaster I’ve ever been on. Magnum was so rough for me, I also sat in the magic seat and while the ride itself is great, the sheer pain it invoked on me knocked it down to where I enjoy Iron Dragon and Blue Streak more. I’ll give it another shot at some point. Millie and SteVe are next for me. Thanks for being honest about intensity. I hate first drops lol. But, good to know I take on Maverick and if I can do that, I should be able to do any other coaster in the park.
Cool list Love seeing how much you love some of these underrated rides Heres my list 17 Woodstock express very standard kiddie roller coaster 16 wilderness run 15 corkscrew Not as bad as people make it out to be but nothing all that great either can be kind of jerky but there are some decent air time moments in the back 14 wicked twister: used to have this ride a little higher but recently remembered how repetitive and shaky it can be does have some good intensity though 13 Cedar Creek mine Ride pretty good mine train might be a little bumpy but a rain ride makes up for any shortcomings it has normally 12 iron dragon only suspended Coaster I’ve ridden and it looks to be the weakest of the bunch but it’s still a pretty fun ride 11 Valravn this is another ride I think that gets a little bit too much hate even if the vest restraints arent the best 10 blue streak probably my favorite PTC I’ve ridden great pacing and really nice air time it packs a punch 9 Gemini Super super fun ride one of the best drops in the park and the racing is awesome 8 gatekeeper One of the prettiest coasters ever and also a super fun ride minus the kind of lame ending 7 Rougarou Super overheated Coaster like seriously currently my favorite floorless over dominator and Firebird great inversions and really surprisingly good airtime and laterals and also a smooth ride 6 top thrill dragster I have yet to get a front row ride on this so this may go up but it’s a short but super intense and unforgettable ride 5 Raptor really any coaster between 6 to 4 can be interchanged raptor is a smooth well paced and intense invert with some awesome whip 4 magnum XL 200 my last ride on this was in 2016 and it was running smoother than it had ever run fantastic eject or towards the end and even some good floater towards the beginning not to mention a gorgeous setting 3 millennium force funny how this coaster in the community is starting to become an underrated ride it is still a phenomenal Coaster great pacing really nice air time and a nice long ride And despite its nickname some pretty good forces 2 maverick This ride even more so than steel vengeance is the full package great air time inversions intensity whip and an amazing launch what’s not to love minus the wait times 1 steel vengeance The only coaster I regrettably have not ridden at the park but judging from other people talking about it and from what I’ve seen I think it would make my number one so much air time some good looking intensity and butter smooth
my first ever coaster in my life was the Magnum when I was 5 years old. traumatized me. I am now going back in a couple days and couldn’t be more excited to ride it again now that I’m older!
Wow, our opinions on Rougarou are wildly divergent haha!! Everything else I agree with, or at least can easily see why you rank it where you did. Love the new format!
Solid list. I placed a some coasters differently, but it's all based on what makes one happy. Nicely done. Looking forward to next year, I've got the season pass!!
I liked the fact that you were using ski trail designations to rate the intensity of the coasters, but I would probably argue that SV should definitely be a double black
Really enjoyed the vid! Very interesting placements, especially for Magnum, wasnt expecting that one. I think the top 3 are pretty much indisputable at this point lol. Looking forward to more in this series!
Our rankings are very different from each other. 1: Steel Vengeance 2: Maverick 3: Millenium Force 4: Top Thrill Dragster 5: Valravyn 6: Rougarou 7: Raptor 8: Gatekeeper 9: Iron Dragon 10: Wicked Twister 11: Gemini 12: Cedar Creek Mine Ride 13: Magnum XL-200 14: Blue Streak 15: Woodstock Express 16: Corkscrew 17: Wilderness Run As far as best coaster park in the world goes? I'd give a slight edge to Magic Mountain with Carowinds and SF Great America coming close as well.
Magnum is my favorite. It has the nostalgia factor and that view from the top is excellent. Steel vengeance is next because it’s insane. I’ve only rode it once but want to do it again. My 3rd favorite is gatekeeper. I love cedar point!
Raptor will always be my favorite coaster. When it first opened that ride was butter smooth. It's more jarring now compared to then. Me and my friends ended up riding it 21 times in a day back in High school. Should mention I grew up 30 minutes from Cedar point.
A Pig out of the 4 I've been on, Rougarou, patriot, medusa, and scream; I would say it ties with patriot only because it was rough on my experience and patriot is just bad
This what I have to say for seats on these rides here. Millennium Force: very back seat or very front, one seat you get airtime like crazy and another you get wind speed Maverick: Again, front or back seat. For pretty much the same reasons. Steel Vengeance: Very last seat, you know why. Top Thrill Dragster: I recommend the front, I would say first 3 rows are fine. Magnum: First car, any seat will do but first car So yeah my top 4 favorite rides and these are the seats I recommend
i think you over rated rougarou. i like it, but it was very rough in the very front and very back when i rode it (miltiple times, each time) so much that my friend refused to ride it again, a lot of people underrate it, but i dont think its as good as you rated it
Man maybe it’s because Iron Dragon was the big newbie my first time going to the point when I was a kid I still have a special place in my heart. I love riding it still.
I wasn’t expecting Iron Dragon to be good at all. It was night after I’ve been on a ton of coasters, and I was worn out. I saw Iron Dragon didn’t have a line, so we went in the front row. It was not intense, but I’d definitely recommend it to somebody who just had a long day of coasters and just need a relaxing scenic ride.
funny how diamondback at KI was my first coaster ever, never had i even ridden a kiddie coaster, just straight to diamondback, and then my 2nd was top thrill at CP
You will definitely get a better experience on wicked twister sitting in the way back or the way front. I recommend the way back. WT is always the first ride I go on at the park because I typically stay at hotel breakers and I always ride 2-3 times before riding the rest of the park because the line is always short and it’s such a fun ride if you pick the right seat.
I’m not even joking, I’m 13 and I went to cedar point 2 days ago, and I didn’t know how a coaster felt so I jumped on gate keeper and it was amazing. My second coaster was raptor, (1st row) then rougrou and then maverick. I was too scared to go on the wicked twister and Gemini tho 😂
Gemini is super fun if you can handle maverick Gemini should be a piece a cake . My favorite part is the riders on the opposite train talking smack to each other to see who would win the race .
Id still say i have to work my way up to some bigger coasters, but having gone on wicked twister as my third coaster ever, and magnum as my 6th id say im doing aight lol
Top Thrill Dragster should have a double diamond circle for me. In my opinion, it is FAR more intense than maverick or magnum, and even though I have been riding coasters for around 8 years now, it still scares the hell out of me when I ride it.
Definetely agree with most of your list (though I have TTD at 5 and then GK at 6 and the rest of the list adjusted accordingly. As to your question about whether or not CP is the best coaster park, I have to say yes. Before SV I would give that to SFMM because X2, TC, Tatsu and Riddler are a better top 4 than Maverick, MF, Magnum and TTD. Also, I think Magic Mountain's supporting line up is a little bit better. Don't get me wrong, they were close but SFMM was better IMO. But that narrow margin was destroyed with RMC's magnum opus: Steel Vengeance. In any case, if you put coasters aside, CP has always been a better park when it comes to appearance, flat rides and setting. So if SFMM wants to catch up they will have to clean the place up and probably add either an RMC T-rex giga or an Intamin prefab. So basically, SFMM won't be catching up anytime soon.
Just went to Cedar Point for the first time last week. i have a giant ugly bruise because i decided to try out the "magic seat" on magnum. i will wear this battle scar with honor.
Raptor was really underwhelming for me after my 2 rides in the front and 7th row. I do admit I greyed out on the zero g roll but that double helix was extremely overhyped and wasn’t that forceful. Gatekeeper is underrated and provides really good floater air, as well as being butter smooth. Gatekeeper is my favorite b&m at the park
Of all the CP review videos I’ve seen I like this one best. It’s rated like someone who claims CP as their home park. In fact the only time I disagreed with you is Raptor against Top Thrill. But I have serious nostalgia with raptor as it was my first ever coaster. But I was right back with you on Millennium Force and Maverick. To date my best trip ever to CP was over then years ago for Halloweekends and I lapped Mille and Mav all day because it was cold and the park was dead.
I’m very scared of roller coasters but the cedar creek mine ride and iron dragon have made there way to my respect, largely due to the fact it had been 7 years since I was on a coaster and because Gemini almost gave me a heart attack.
"you should be a heavily experienced coaster ride before embarking on a ride on maverick" then theres me, who went from only riding sub 100 foot wooden coasters to riding most of cedar point's coasters including maverick in one day
