In this episode of Sense Per Mile, we’re talking about what drivers actually want, not just what companies think is “good equipment.” Ever wonder what makes a driver happy on the road? Is it the comfy seat, the hood, or maybe a super cool GPS? We'll explore the top picks that make trucks feel like home. Tune in and discover what gear gets the thumbs up.

Hey guys. My thoughts on the cameras. The outward and side facing cameras are great. The inward facing cameras should be only for out of school drivers and drivers with bad driving records. The inward cameras doesn’t help drivers with good driving records. It just micromanage them to be able to get rid of them at will.

I could definitely agree with this

We need all these engine sensors gone, Peterbilt 579’s suck due to their low coolant sensors that shut you down in the middle of the road, and it makes the word reliable, irrelevant.

Trucks need to be more reliable like how they were back in the day and maintain good fuel efficiency, without the def, egr, scr systems that cut the life of all semi truck engines and increase the costs for the owner.

Do daily pre-trip inspection and inspect the truck throughout the day.. you'll catch coolant leaks...

@@ftworthgent of course that’s not what I’m referring to, I’m referring to the sensors that suck. They shutdown your truck and make them unreliable.

Yes I’ve been in my lane and due to the road being re striped the Bendex alarm goes crazy. Also I’ve had the brakes come on with nothing in front of me and sometimes when a vehicle passes me and jumps in front of me no alarm goes off. It’s a good idea but I wouldn’t say it makes us safer.

@@kevinfreyre1576Got it! When I ordered my truck it was intentionally spec'd without any safety devices such as Bendix Wingman. There's no benefit from a legal perspective! A driver in Atlanta Ga that was rear ended by a hot dogging driver in a 4 wheeler off I75 and was in intensive care and survived even though he's paralyzed for life when he was in the wrong for reckless driving won a $15 million dollar civil settlement because the truck driver didn't hit his brakes when the system on his truck told him to!!! Lawyer argued that the truck drivers brake reaction time was too slow and the jury went along with it!
