Fo4 is horrible in breaking the Canon so it isn't surprising to see some random stuff in that game

Fallout 4 has huge issues and its a buggy piece of shit but i felled it have better and smooth gameplay and the ghouls, deathclaw, mirelurks and other mutants have better animation than New Vegas or 3. I`m not talking about humanoids type of enemies because i know them how they work and there dumb af but ffs stop praising about New Vegas did right its almost like a cult now, i understand its the only good modern fallout game, have the best story, factions, npcs (I love Joshua) best dlcs but Fallout 4 isn't that bad as everyone say it. Yes it have boring arsenal, boring quest, no rpg mechanics at all, it force you to be a good guy which is boring, it have terrible written off characters but the game is still decent and fun to play (Despite the fact that you can get bored easily after you are high level and i even forgot that i have to save my son and that`s how easily forgettable the story is but still its a good game i enjoy it) Everyone got rights to like what they want if people like bethesda leave them you dont have to start a war full deathreats and the same thing is with bethesda fan if people like obsidians\black isle fallouts games leave them to like them. I personally love the older fallouts and new vegas because of their dark setting and truly captures the dark atmosphere of what wasteland will be. No wonder i quit the fallout new vegas community there are so braindead, toxic that i got ashamed to be part of those faggots (There is some chill guys and i respect but the others? No.) I got off quickly of the comment i was supposed to do but i wanted to tell my opinion without being blinded by nostalgia nor fanboism.

Sadly it’s limited by the Gamebryo engine. Fallout 4’s gunplay is the best over all fallout games. It almost feels like Call of Duty’s gunplay.

@Joseph Thompson The reason they got flagged before was because they reused voice assets from the original NV. Now they’re up again because they’re recreating every single of piece of dialog with voice-alikes they hired.

I think I read somewhere that John sawyer did the modeling/demonstration (I'm not exactly sure what it's properly called lol.) For Joshua Graham's animation, when he's unloading and press checking the M1911s. I guess he brought his personal M1911 in and demonstrated it? Don't know if that's true but it's pretty dope if it is.

Well, maybe for gun nuts, but us melee fans were left high and dry, relatively speaking. They could have at least had a cavalry sabre, considering the wild west theme.

@@johnmooney5829 I've always been surprised that there haven't been that many mods to add melee/unarmed weapons. Part of the reason I rarely play melee characters.

@@johnmooney5829 Unarmed was the clear superior melee choice in NV but there a few great options for melee though like knock knock, gehenna, chances knife and the katana

The Anti-Materiel Rifle+ remains my favorite Fallout weapon to this day.

This is true. The ones added by 'Gun Runners Arsenal" can be modified. GRA actually added a few "new" variants of existing weapons where the mods were the only new thing.

Yeah, would make sense that the guards would wield them, as I don't remember any mortars in Nellis. The lady at the front gate even has a Fat Man.

It’s actually the arterelly Fire day you originally a modification gives a top down view.

I dont think you actually ever see the mortars, even during the Hoover dam fight.

I tried to not kill him in my second through... turns out robot scorpions all more powerful then giant robot dogs.

The Lee Enfield rifle, M14, and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head were able to accept both detachable magazines and stripper clips. The reason behind this is because a stripper clip costs pennies to produce, whereas (at least at the time of their inceptions) costed dollars to produce. It was more economical (and saved weight to boot) to issue stripper clips over magazines. Even more modern rifles such as the M16/AR-15 can load magazines with stripper clips, just not the rifle itself because of how the action & receivers are designed.

@@brandondalton1499 with the SMLE and some other rifles , it wasn't just due to cost , it was also because the mags were rather fragile But that does boomerang back to cost , you screw up a mag , not only was it an ordeal on cost of mag , but some guns have fitted mags , so not only that , you have to pay the armorer or a gunsmith to make it work again You screw up a stripper clip , oh well , here's a new one Soldiers will be soldiers Hence why the mas-36 had to have it's bayonet modified so they wouldn't Chinese finger trap two rifles together As a bonus fun fact

@@jonslife3533 Fun fact. Mr. Lee intended his rifles to be issued with multiple magazines from the start. When the Remington Lee saw limited adoption with the US Navy, they did exactly that. Probably the first use of magazines pouches on web gear.

Mostly because members of Black Isle studios went to found Obsidian and they used most of Van buren/bueran (whatever its called) ideas and concepts into new vegas

Van Buren inspired alot in fallout 3 too.

@@sajadhoxhaj6603 Van Buren was supposed to be Fallout 3. It got canned when Bethesda got the rights to the franchise. Obsidian just decided to continue Van Buren as Fallout New Vegas when Bethesda gave them a chance to make a Fallout game.

@@SovietMarmalade This is just too wrong for me to ignore. Van Buren got cancelled around the time Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel flopped. This was a few years before Bethesda ever thought of buying the rights to Fallout.

Well considering it would likely just be a modified Fatman I'd say the weapon would be about the same weight, but the ammo would've been heavy af!

I think the fatman was originally designed for use with the t-45 power armor, so the weight wouldn’t really matter

New Vegas has an alternative - Compliance Regulator. Especially for the critical builds. And, of course, unarmed builds have a few ways to disable any opponent.

Just remember if there are infinite universes there is one that has a FNV with all of content.

@@Lance-The-BoS-Lancer Indeed; Pretty much every game has some form of cool content that had to be cut due to engine limitations, difficulty coding, or overall not being worth the effort. There would have been more weapons, but also many cut ones. As the scope of the game increases, so does the potential of taking out large pieces of content. On the plus side, New Vegas has the greatest variety of base weaponry in the entire series. On a less related note: The Legendary system in the later Fallouts does not count as much, as it is *semi-random* (often non-sensical like a radiation gun that deals extra 'damage' to ghouls) effects rather than intentional designs on guns. The system, unfortunately, take the place of the scrapped ammo system. In my opinion, the Legendary system is far better suited in the Elder Scrolls Franchise (but the enchantment system already covers this better) while the weapon modification system should be greatly refined in future Bethesda Fallouts (If that happens while under Microsoft's leadership, of course, which also includes Obsidian).

It was probably a scrapped idea for Hardcore that would have the player able to fill their canteen from clean water sources as an alternative to carrying purified bottles

Melee is broken and is one of my favorite playstyles but I agree resource management would of made it better and more interesting/not as OP and there still wouldve been non reloading ones like knife or baseball bat probably. Plus we would've got cool reload animations.

There’s a cool mod called “jackpot” which introduces a golden anti materiel rifle, it gives you a sneak debuff, but gives you +1 charisma by carrying it

I agree that fallout 4 had a lot less weapons than they should have but the mod system certainly wasn't linear. If you look at weapon mods in NV they're all just straight up improvements over the base version but in 4 you can change how the gun functions

@@screamingphoenix8113 okay well generally, when there is a number in the name of a firearm/vehicle/anything it either denotes its year of adoption or its model number. In this case, the "M" stands for model and the "1911" refers to its year of adoption by the Colt company, and it was subsequently adopted as such by militaries around the world.
