I've been a subscriber for years now and I think this is my favorite video of yours of all time. Super interesting and cool looking (but impressively functional) watch! And I like the larger concept and story that you wove around it with the cyborg shtick, it framed the watch's USP very nicely.
I actually saw an ad for this watch on Facebook, some months ago, I think before it was released. I thought it was interesting and reasonably priced, but I was hesitant to be among the first... I like to read and watch reviews first. So now I think I'll go for it.
@@mcmach1 Yes for the price I think it offers a lot of value, but I have long term concerns... can the battery be changed? Will the mechanism last? But even if the answer to both questions is no, it's an interesting novelty.
You need to change your address, phone number and maybe your name. Run away as fast as you can and escape the clutches of the ginger. She's probably very pretty and exciting, but that's how they hide the crazy that is in all gingers. You have been warned.
Sometimes watches can all look the same. Not a fan of the skeleton case premium watches as it's hard to tell the time at a glance. This gives you function with a quick way to tell time and a "Hidden" chronograph feature. Definitely out of the box thinking. I like the silver and DLC cases, however, I'd suggest some hard ceramic colors like red, blue, green and maybe an actual gold plated version. If more people knew about these, I think they would be a home run.
Kicked around ordering this for the last 13 days, since this video premiered. Decided to pull the trigger- hope I'm not going to be disappointed. My main concern is the battery life and if it will be replaceable.
My question and concern is what kind of rechargeable battery is used in this time piece? It will last for how many charge cycles? How can I replace the battery when it is dead? How do you think T3? Do you have any information on it?
You got me again TT 🤦🏼♂️ that’s four now and honestly I couldn’t be happier! This latest purchase of the MS1001 is by far the most fun but of course I still love my other three TT recco’s as well. On a tangent has anyone found any Easter eggs with the mecexp? If there aren’t no biggie, just wondering.
The term "chargeable" and "watch" makes me shiver. But I'm guessing this is mean for the iWatch crowd so I'll give it a pass. Overall a quirky watch and I can appreciate that.
This. As soon as he said charge it every....I wasn't interested anymore. It feels like they could have avoided it. This is why I don't wear smartwatch with its recharging and notification spam.
Well done, MECEXP! I'm designing a totally unique rechargeable dive watch with 28 LEDs & a slick charging base, building them in my garage one piece at a time, and I promise it's gonna cost VASTLY more than US$299.
I'm old enough to remember using a refidex, I believe that's what this design is based on. It's a very cool watch and design, props to the makers for being brave enough to conceive it and then actually make them too. Ti and bronze would also be very interesting.
Interesting watch. The mechanism seems very similar to those used in optical drives to move the laser assembly, only much smaller. The price really isn't too bad either.
If it truly is an in-house movement, the price is well worth it. Not completely sold on the aesthetics, but it is more to do with the size. I suspect they could not achieve a smaller version without hitting that huge pricepoint many suspected this would cost. Thanks for sharing this find with us!
I think this is really neat, but just don't think this one is for me yet. Maybe version 3 or 4 after the Titanium is where they will get me. The price, bulk, and features vs having a watch I have to charge feels like it is missing one more positive to get me over the hump. Just add a more ergonomic case and at that price I am jumping on it. Or add one more really neat thing it does like a temperature sensor, even though those are not accurate, that item would tip the scale and I'd purchase. 200 instead of 300, I'd stop typing this and buy it. See what I mean, this thing is really close for me to a buy. So, I'll tell my watch friends who might like this, bookmark the site and check for new models later, etc.
It's unusual and I don't find it visually offensive, it has some pleasing elements, and I think the price is reasonable considering I don't think there are many off the shelf watch parts in it. Would I buy one? Probably not. I don't hate it but I don't love it either, it doesn't really move me.
Wait, didn’t you complain about the noisy rotor on the miyota movements but you are ok with this wrist greenhouse bleep blorping for no rhyme or reason?? Get a kinetic, the affordable blending of mechanical and Quartz technology.
Looks likw watches on Tokyo Flash. Pretty cool I like the long charge time as opposed to having to charge daily , that I why I dislike and dont wear my Apple Watch (EVER)
I was ready to dislike this, but I think it seems pretty cool even though I myself have become ancient. I think that I find it acceptable because there are still moving parts....
Don't hate it as much as I thought I would, but still 'TIHI'. It still strikes me as a very unrefined design, unrefined logo (squat in the front center of course, for that extra level of hackish-ness), unrefined edges, unrefined crown, ugh! unrefined logo on the buckle; of a very unrefined strap, very bulky and angular, design elements on the caseback that seem unnecessary at best. Nah! Miss me with that. Cyberpunk yes!, but this ain't it.
Jory, for the love of all creatures big and small. What is that abomination? Have you lost your collective mind? To quote a line from Star Wars, episode 4 because 4, 5, and 6 are the only ones I recognize because all of the others SUCKED ASS, (What is that thing)?
