I think Otter ran outta gas in the last 2 rounds. He was dynamite in the 1st round vs Minnesota. Was just too inconsistent in rounds 2 and 3. Deboer needs to give him more night offs next season.

The big problem with those defenders you mention is they would constantly get burned in todays game. Stevens isn’t getting away with those hits today and Hatcher had to retire the year after the lockout and rule changes bc he couldn’t play in a game that fast. You’re living in the past and it’s just not possible to have guys that slow on your defense. Hakanpaa and Suter are slow enough we don’t need more of them. We do have a guy in the pipeline who is built in the same vein but he’s an unbelievable skater. I think you’re going to like Bischel

​@@deantackett2059Wedgewood is looking like a beast right now during the 2023-24 season, and I definitely see him and Otter potentially splitting games if they make the playoffs. Keeps both our goalies fresh to an extent, and both are walls that will stone teams trying to score. and with Matt duchene combined with Seguin and Marchment we have a team that can take the cup home to Dallas
