People should focus more gonna getting training this year then what they carry. If you have good tools, but dont know how to use that pistol well, that med kit, that knife, and some basic survival gear, then 2020 should be time to fix this.

Skeletool is awesome! I love the fact you can open the knife without having to open the whole tool. Definitely got it off your review over a year ago. Got my skeletool last year because you suggested it and it’s amazing. I love the simplicity of the tool and the easy access blade. I don’t need all the extra tools on most multi tools but this ones perfect. The blade is surprisingly good I love the shape of it, super useful.

I used the Leatherman Skeletool while in Afghanistan recently! Had it for a few years now. Probably the best in its class for everyday use and carry. From missions to truck maintenance it does it’s job well!

Just bought one of your belts due to this video. I purchased one of the Snake Eater Tactical belts due to another one of your videos a couple years back and have been using it everyday (along with one of your rigs for my G43). Not having to take off the male end of the belt to fit it through my belt loops seems like a definite upgrade and time saver! Thanks for the good content and gear! Cheers

Been carrying my Skeletool CX since it came out. I’ve converted a bunch of people and given a bunch away as gifts. The best thing to accompany it is the bit kit and extension.

I had to change out of my EDC pants as I did the inlaws lawn and its laundry day and had to wear my back up pants and my phone case got scratched up bad and I have only had it 2 weeks. I don't have the skeleton but I do have the surge and its a life changer. I don't understand how I could of went so long without one in my life and my girlfriend pays me out about having all my EDC gear, but she always asks for it so now I have given her her own torch. I do have the baton pro, I like the titanium and having a magnet on it is amazing. I have tacked the charging base to my bedside table and I use the torch as a lamp at night and because the light shines up, I don't get glare from the tv. I also use the magnet to pick something off the floor, as i struggle to bend down sometimes

I use work outside and I carried the Leatherman Rebar. But I now I've worked in a office setting for the past two years. Couldn't help but miss my multi tool. But didn't want a big on. My EDC: card holder wallet, mini ballpoint, mini flashlight, keys with bottle opener and clip, g shock watch, CRKT lockblade in front pocket, SOG fixed blade in waistband, Springfield xds and extra mag. Currently running a leather holster at 4 o'clock and the extra mag on the support side. It's hard to reholster when i get in and out of my Tacoma (and use my magnet mount under the steering column) so sometimes I use a kydex even tho the leather is way more comfortable.

I love my Olight magnet as well, best feature by far. I also miss the Sharpie Pen stainless steel, have a few remaining but they are hot commodities. You did convert me on the Nalgene lid. I did not know Streamlight came out with another TLR7 option. EDC always: Keys with Fox40 whistle, wallet, Galaxy S10e, Sharpie Pen, Benchmade Bugout, Sheffield box cutter.... Work days: Leatherman Wave and Olight S2R Baton both in custom leather holsters (I made). Off-days: Leatherman squirt PS4 and S1 Baton mini (sometimes switch out light). My concealed carry is Glock 19 Gen5 MOS with Trijicon RMR and TLR 7 light in a Tier1 holster and extra 17 round mag.

I’m one of the ones who switched over to Skeletool. It has replaced my pocket knives. I wanted the most lightweight but usable combo I could find. So I carry Skeletool, with a Micra, Streamlight microstream rechargeable coyote 250 lumens, Sig 365 running Underwood extreme defender Standard pressure, wild hedgehog pocket trauma kit.

Tried the Skeletool, also a big fan, but have been carrying the new Free T4 lately. Really like how burly everything is on it. It has good size scissors, nice knife, burly Phillips & flat head, smaller flathead & file, & tweezers. No pliers, which I rarely miss. Also love the Olights. Carrying the SIIR is a bit bulky for me, since I carry it in my front pocket. So I usually carry a smaller light like the IR2 EOS. Trayvax Ascent.

Bought the G43 for my wife 2 years ago. I love, love, love the single stack 9mm ... just a perfect geometry, I think. You can do a +1 to the factory mag without affecting any of the geometry. Still only 7 rounds, but I'm not sure the 8th round is going to help me if the first 7 didn't. :-). I'm carrying a Sig 1911 C3 or a Springfield XDm 3.3. I prefer the 1911, even though it's a heavier rig. I just shoot it better. If I were just starting out and looking for a good carry gun, I'd grab the G43 in a heartbeat. I'll check out your holsters, as I love Kydex. I tried the leather IWB, but always come back to simple Kydex. One thing to consider, especially when camping, is a switchblade knife. Boker makes an inexpensive 3" switchblade/automatic knife, but Benchmade and Spyderco also have them. Whether I'm setting up camp or even cooking, it's super convenient to have one-handed access to a knife blade ... particularly when your other hand is holding a spatula or is otherwise covered in bacon grease. Assisted knives are nice, but nothing beats a true button activated automatic knife. Yes, they are legal in CO.

I picked up the skeletool because of your videos. It's been an extremely valuable asset to my daily carry. I did have to to buy from REI to get the Damascus blade. They have it for $70. Happy New Year Mike. Hope you and the family have a fantastic year. (Because of your recommendation again) I carried the s2r baton ii for the longest time. I am testing the baton pro, but I'll probably end up going back to the baton ii. Still waiting on olight to make something the size of the baton ii with a tail cap..

Leatherman Skeletool Rant/My EDC I loved the skeletool until the pliers snapped in half on me. When I contacted leatherman for a replacement I had to pay to ship it in instead of being able to bring it into an authorized dealer, then they shipped me back a new one that had surface rust on the blade and pliers. Now I carry a benchmade bugout with copper scales, an extremely small set of vice grips, my custom G43X, Ridge wallet, AirPods, Apple Watch, and phone. I load all that stuff into either carhart pants or those vertx pants you recommended (I bought every color and they’re my favorite pants), and top off the whole edc with my Tony Llama boots they’re ready for anything.

You were one of the people that got me into edc. I watched a few videos of yours, like the one that you wear the same type of pants everyday. I’m a shorts guy so I went out and got the same shorts and that’s all I wear now. I went to your website to but the blue alfa belt but unfortunately you don’t ship over seas, so I did have to go to their website. I would of liked to support you by buying it from your site. The only thing I have a problem with the belt is it does dig in if sitting for a long time, but it’s easy enough to unclip anyway. I love the belt but seems I’m in Australia we can’t carry guns or knifes but I just love the belt anyway. I do edc a leatherman surge but that’s tucked in a deep skinny pocket that you can’t tell I have it and don’t take it out in public due to the knife and coming from the country that had the line “that not a knife, this is a knife”, people freak out about knives here. My edc consists of my iPhone 7plus in a pocket by its self( I picked that up from Adam savage), my Deadpool wallet that isn’t to thick and my keys in another pocket. My power bank as I use my phone a lot and a pen in my lower left pocket and my leatherman surge in the nylon sheath with a ball of parra cord at the bottom as that is a slim deep pocket so I can get to the surge a bit easier. I just need a torch with I think will be royvon Aurora. That’s my edc story.

I heartily agree on the Olight s2r. After adjusting my edc to accommodate an 18650 light, I never looked back. The s2r is my workhorse, and I don't think it will be replaced anytime soon. My edc multitool is the Leatherman Juice s2, but I back it up with the Knipex Micro Cobra. If you love pliers, definitely check out the Knipex.

I love EDC tools that are not large and heavy. However my Gerber Dime multi-tool is a little (literally) too small so I will acquire a Leatherman Skeletool. I do carry an old camo toiletry bag under my driver seat with the larger tools for survival purposes. I have an OCD problem re carrying stuff in my pockets as a result of 23 years in the military. As an instructor I always reminded my students to not carry anything in their front pockets, especially change. We all have a tendency to reach into our pockets and end up rattling the contents. I've been retired for 31 years and I still do not carry anything in my front pockets. I use a custom made canvas and leather waist bag (not a fanny pack) for my EDC items: Folding knife, multi-tool, Olight, Bic, wallet, cell phone, reading glasses (folded) and a handkerchief. This also serves as a belt for my tactical pants, 5.11's. I love your gear videos as you go through all the pros and cons, use and whatever other data you can offer on each item.

Car keys, wallet, iPhone XR, EarPods, Streamlight Microstream, Spyderco Delica (Damascus), HK P2000 all in Carhartt jeans usually.

I like your EDC videos - It’s easy to see that you use the products extensively, and I love all of the gear I’ve acquired due to your recommendations. Question: I want to get a Trayvax, but it looks like your credit card will take a beating in that one - do you have to replace cards frequently?

Just started watching some of your videos. Some great information and reviews, really appreciate your time. Love my Leatherman... However I went with the Wave +
