🇬🇧 Dominic Herbertson, a true ‘road racer’ from a family where road racing is in the blood. The Englishman is a race winner in the Manx Grand Prix and was on the podium for the first time in the Supertwin race at the 2024 Isle of Man TT. Apart from his racing activities, Dominic is also known for the podcast Chasin‘ the Racin’ where everything from the British Superbike championship, World Superbikes, MotoGP and much more is covered. On Monday the 3rd of June, two days before his first TT podium, we spoke to Dominic about his own career, the Isle of Man TT, racing in general and much more. It was a very frank and honest conversation and to be honest I enjoyed it so much!
🇳🇱 Dominic Herbertson, een echte 'road racer' uit een familie waar road racen in het bloed zit. De Engelsman is een racewinnaar in de Manx Grand Prix en stond tijdens de Isle of Man TT van 2024 voor het eerst op het podium in de Supertwin race. Naast zijn race-activiteiten is Dominic ook bekend van de podcast Chasin' the Racin' waar alles van het British Superbike kampioenschap, de World Superbikes, MotoGP en nog veel meer aan bod komt. Op maandag 3 juni, twee dagen voor zijn eerste TT podium, spraken we met Dominic over zijn eigen carrière, de Isle of Man TT, racen in het algemeen en nog veel meer. Het was een zeer openhartig, eerlijk en vermakelijk gesprek!

I’ve always liked Dom Herbertson, the first time I saw him ride & “talk bollocks” to anyone nearby. He’s a genuinely upbeat person who nevertheless is a determined racer. He knows it’s a test of man and machine, and knows firsthand the price that can be called due. His first TT podium was among the highlights this year. Go well, Dominic!

Dom is a great character in the paddock,and the Chrissy Rouse and Dom’s podcast “Chasin The Racin he’s very funny hosting that show, and I was really happy for him when he won his first podium at the TT.. hopefully he’ll make it to the top step.

Great interview with Dom. I very much admired Dom's interview with Grace Webb at the end of the first Supertwin race, he spoke very well.

First became aware of Dom & Chris through C the R and got hooked listening to them and then the tragedy happened. Its been tough for Dom and everyone else that knew Chris so its great to see Dom getting good race results. I grew up watching Hailwood Agostini Read but the one that heightened the public profile of motorcycle racing was Barry Sheene and with his personality if he had the right management team he could do the same for motorcycle racing today. His honesty in this interview is unbelievable.

Dom is like many TT riders, a real battler , his whole year is dedicated to racing at the IOM for those 2 weeks. Over the past few years of CTR and see him progressing has earned my respect. 👍👍👍👍

Cracking interview that. Like Dom's attitude towards everything that comes his way. The hard times an good times, stood upto the mantle in fighting for his 3rd place. His interview after, was pure Dom, open an honest. Well done Dom, well done. Pleased i was track side seeing it. The atmosphere was electric. 👍

He had a great TT. Best ever times in all four categories I think? Bearing in mind first time on a full superbike. Might well have got that 131 today had he not broken down.

It’s easy to see why he’s become a fan favourite. He comes across as himself and he’s super humble. Well deserved podium and it’s gonna be great watching him get better and better
