PART 2: ru-vid.comW9mejW6MlRI This is pretty much how I view ratings: 1-5 - Terrible to Bad 6 - Mid 7 - Good 8 - Great 9 - Outstanding 10 - Masterpiece And here is how I view comic book movies throughout time if you’re interested: 1950 to 1999: Charming, iconic, and nostalgic. Todays movies wouldn’t exist without these ones. However, I don’t believe that they stand the test of time & there was a lower standard for quality back then especially where the story is concerned. 2000 to 2012: Mature, creative, and focused on storytelling/ character development above everything else. This era truly set the standard, the golden age imo. 2013 to 2018: Becoming a bit repetitive, but still filled with great comic book movies. This is where Marvel peaked and the steady decline of DC started to take place. 2019 to Present: Becoming incredibly formulaic with excessive comedy to the point where it smothers the story. Overall just an abundance of average movies with primarily else-world/ unconnected films being really good. The future: Where Marvel is concerned I think after Endgame they’ve been falling off on all fronts & it could get even worse. Moving on from Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans was a serious blow but understandable story wise. Even still, their current films desperately need both a quality boost and to cut back on all the humor. Love and Thunder & Quantamania are two recent examples of what not to do. The Avengers movies will still do great box office wise solely based on the rumored and sure to be confirmed cameos. Marvel will continue to decline until they can nail the heavy hitters such as F4, X-Men, and Spider-Man again. Self-contained emotional stories need to be a priority moving forward. Not everything has to be an end of the world level event. For DC the whole studio is on fire. Black Adam, Shazam, The Flash; all the recent movies have been bombing. I personally think trying to replicate “The MCU Formula” is definitely a reason, but not necessarily the sole. Studio interference + a lack of long term direction has generated underwhelming movies. They tried with Snyder which did not pan out, that led to a pause in cohesive content to the point where the “universe” is now all over the place. With James Gunn taking over and planning a full on reboot in 2025, I am excited and agree with the choice to do so. The main actors have all almost aged out and an abundance of divisive movies make DC call for new faces. James Gunn has his 8-10 year plan which is apparently mapped out start to end which gives much needed direction. I personally believe the DCU is going to do very well. James Gunn makes fantastic comic book movies, and I think Superman Legacy will be his best work yet. With that being the official start and being loved by the fans, it will generate momentum for the DCU movies following. However, that is dependent on the success of Superman first. It absolutely needs to be a major hit. Furthermore, finding passionate directors, and each film having its own identity while still existing in one universe is key. I personally am more excited for the future of DC than Marvel at this point. Overall I think there’s a good chance DC takes the crown over Marvel in the future. Marvel is loosing its actors due to its long run and stories wrapping up. Top that off with being plagued by average movies as of late, now is a perfect time for DC to reassert itself with fresh content and young actors who will take on the roles for years to come. Thank you for reading and let me know your thoughts or if you have any questions for me to answer.
Yeah honestly the scene where preJoker and his goons are running from the cops and the gunfight breaks out, it feels like a comic book is coming to life. Iconic scene.
DCEU fans : Only does talking about dark knight, ranking movies, comparing one character to another and lot's of other blah blah blah stuff aswell but only on internet when it time for real support movie in theaters lots of them are always be like nah, All hail to telegram no wonder why WB treats DCEU fans like shits🗿
@@lucascarrascogarcia5075 Everyone is claiming like it is one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, but the story is painfully boring, Batman is barely in the movie, Michael Keaton's performance as Batman is pretty bad and it feels like this movie is way to goofy for a Batman movie most of the time
@@SemmieWNT Yes, the story is painfully boring, but it's an entertaining movie and many superhero movies don't have a deep or interesting story like Deadpool, for example and still people like it anyway. It is a film that achieves a perfect balance between the goofy and the dark. In addition to the fact that it was very impressive at the time due to its special effects. I get your point, but people are claiming Batman 89 because, along with Superman 1978, it was one of the pioneers and most important superhero movies.

@@justingary5322don't blame him. Terrible action and performance. Maybe some good performance but terrible action. I don't watch a superhero movie if it's terrible action.

Robert's Batman is the only true comic book description of the Dark Knight. He truly showed a Batman who only has not gone through such rough times but isn't willing to dwell on vegeance but give people hope. 💯
How pls shut up am sure you ve never picked a comic before batman doesn't work with cops batman stays in the shadow not showing his face and also batman bleeds unlike
@@jordanjacksonshouseofhorrors Sure but this Batman is better than the previous ones. Bale had a great arc but provided a bad performance as Batman. Affleck had a shitty character. Keaton was good but hes kinda outdated.

Superman (1978), is great. No one in my honest opinion, will beat Christopher Reeve’s portrayal which captured the clumsiness, small town values, kindness and love of Clark Kent and Superman perfectly.
Christopher Reeve’s Superman and Michael Keatons Batman are the OG is comic films most of the movies and shows we got today wouldn’t be here without them. Respect your elders kid

HAHAHAHA! You know nothing about any filmmaking aspect so it shows why you think those movies are masterpieces and almost flawless with Batman Return. It's laughable.
@@doggerlander Tell me exactly how I’m supposed to explain my opinion, it’s my opinion, it might be biased, and or is actually, it it’s my opinion, trying to change my opinion is like talking to a brick wall, just cause you have a different opinion you shouldn’t force or try to make people change theirs
I know but there's difference between being brutally honest and brutally a clown never in my life have i found a guy who has seen Constantine and called it Mid like it's not great but a mid man Avengers Endgame was Mid, Avatar 2 was Mid, Even Star Wars Later series was Mid, that's every Terminator after Duology was Mid, Every Alien and Scream after First film was Mid that's the definition of Mid Constantine is anything but Mid considering the time it was released
You obviously did not grow up with the Keaton films, they were a big deal and without them your “9/10s” wouldn’t even exist. Keatons movies have the best soundtrack and the best dark Batman and best Gotham, give it some more appreciation…
@@bobansburner3225 Nah. I'm a big DC fan. These are the actual rankings. Some should be bumped up by 1 point like Superman 1978 and Batman 1989, but other than that everything else is pretty accurate
The first 2 og batman movies and the first superman are at least an 8 or above. The superman was pretty ground breaking in its success as a superhero movie
It must be popular for people to hate on Superman 3 and 4. I personally love them both. Superman 4 wasn’t the movie it should’ve been considered the budget was cut.
