No Wedgetail Eagle? Geez..... Croc tip: if you're low in the water or at the edge of it, a croc will see you as prey. If you make yourself as tall as possible, the croc will perceive you as a threat and in most instances, back off. Still, if you see a croc, steer clear of it!
14:47 This is plain wrong. Hyenas do not have the strongest bite force of any carnivorous mammal and they’re not even really close either. Jaguars have 1500 psi, polar bears 1200, and there are probably several others that I can’t think of. That’s also not including marine mammals, as the orca has an incredible bite force of 19000 psi.
@@Splinky55 The carnivorous mammal with the strongest bite relative to body size is the Tasmanian devil, with a psi of 1200 and a weight of just 18lbs or 8kg. The hyenas weighs from about 90lbs to 120, and has a weaker bite force of 1100psi, as said in the video.
@@alexbones0001 Quite a distance, because he also does the 400m, not just the 100m. And can easily run consistently (farther distances) at 16 mph. Still faster than a komodo.
@@marinefart9082they hunt basically anything, caimans, capybaras, monkeys, sloths and even anteaters, considering only the ones on amazon’s rainforest
anacondas rarely ever get to that size, and even if they did, it would be very unlikely they would try to eat humans, for real, for an anaconda to try to eat a human, it must be starving for months...
13 mph comes out to 4:48 per mile. That’s a fast mile, but the pace is slower than an average person sprinting. If the environment isn’t too hard to navigate, you can still outrun a Komodo dragon
As I understand it they don’t need speed. They’re ambush hunters who basically try to absolutely brutalize the hell out of their prey on the first surprise attack. Usually the massive lacerations and blood loss (helped by the venom in their saliva) causes shock and rapid death. There’s debate on if they actively pursue prey that runs away or if they just sorta wander off and take advantage when they discover the carcass later but if you do manage to avoid that first attack just get the hell out and don’t lie down until you’re inside because ‘dead’ or ‘mostly dead’ is good enough for them.
Where's the jaguar? they're know for hunting caimans, anacondas, tapirs, deers, river dolphins, capybaras, monkeys, and basically every creature they can find in the jungle
11:02. Correction Usain Bolt would be able to outrun a Komodo dragon, His top speed is 37 km/h (23mp/h). Whereas the Komodo dragon speed is 20 km/h (13 mp/h. Don’t know where you got that from.
Some information was incorrect. For example, 1 piece was "these bears aren't even carnivores." Yes and no. They're omnivores, but their main source of food is meat. Specifically, salmon.
@@keesb4030 actually it was discovered that Komodo Dragons do have an anticoagulant venom it just mixes with their saliva to makenit easier to transmit it via bite
You're wrong salmons crosses the rivers only once in a year during their mating season, so bears can see them only for a few weeks per year. Most bears except polar ones eat 90% plants
I think the last animal you want to encounter in the ocean is usually a human If you are lost at sea and a HUMAN finds you, and takes you home, that’s the last animal you saw, and the last one you want to see in the ocean for a while
When you said “ size is often a great advantage “ you missed an incredible opportunity to say “ honey badger don’t care, honey badger don’t give a shit “
Komodo dragons have alot of stamina so he may be slow but he But this guy can chase you to minutes long cause komodo dragons literally hunt dear and if get bitten by this predator you're dead
I know, it’s so annoying!! And they aren’t even that deadly, they release their jaws quickly once they realize we aren’t prey. Sharks aren’t overly aggressive, they are predators trying to survive
Great video, please please please also mention the heights in meters, it's hard for me as an international watcher to understand the imperial metric system
I have a Cooper’s hawk nest in the trees in my yard. If you are larger than a miniature poodle or chicken you are just fine… they help keep the disgusting magpies and other annoying birds away.
The closest relatives to dinosaurs are actually birds not crocodalians. There was divergence between dinosaurs and crocodalians from their shared ancestors, the archosaurs. Birds are however, direct descendants.
you forgot to mention how the sperm whale is the loudest animal in the world and it can at close range rupture internal organs of some creatures or stunning animals due to how loud it is
The sudden influx of new channels explaining things with little cartoon pictures and stick figures is so random. This new genre really varies in quality, but this channel seems like a good one aside from a few inaccuracies. Keep it up :]
The also hunt great whites because they have developed a taste for shark liver. They do it kamikaze style, hit at great speed then tear out the liver. The great white dies painfully afterwards. Orcas are such intelligent and vicious predators.
I feel like I need to point out that the largest Orca ever recorded was 32 feet long. They rarely grow to above 30 feet and are usually around 20-25 feet long
@@marinefart9082 it's pronounced may-ko shark not mah-ko, humans can easily outrun a 13mph komodo dragon, and komodo dragons don't have "poison" they have venom
in 2019 i was snorkelling along the Great Barrier Reef in QLD with my auntie who is a marine biologist which specialises in shark research. we had a great time, saw lots of beautiful coral views and wonderful marine life, then decided it was time to head back to the boat. once we got back to land in Wairuna she told me that when we were swimming near the drop-off she noticed a lone bull shark swimming below it. she didn't tell me cause she knew i'd freak out, but she also knew that it wouldn't do us any harm. im glad she didnt tell me because i absolutely would have😂😂 but now thinking back to it i wish i could have saw it.
While lionesses do hunt, they actually get the majority of their food from what hyenas hunt and scare them off. Sometimes they succeed sometimes they don’t
A lot of mistakes here. One I particularly found to be ridiculous is that Anacondas have no teeth. They do, infact have teeth. A lot of teeth. And their bite is the stuff of nightmares, with those teeth being recurved, meaning that it's like being bitten with hundreds of not so little little fishing hooks.
@@clockguy7647 No offense, but like, your knowledge on dinosaurs seems a bit off. birds are legit dinosaurs themselves, you know? And have you even heard of terror birds or cassowaries? They're the real deal when it comes to dinosaurs. Just saying, maybe do a bit more research before you comment on this.
@@ChimmyAnimate oh yeah I forgot about that, I was looking at the archosaurs when I was doing research and after rereading it, I had over looked the part where it says it’s related to both crocodiles and birds. My apologies. Thank you for the correction
There are no SaltWater crocodiles in the Nile. The Nile is a fresh water river and I don't think Saltwaters have naturally migrated all the way to Africa. Crocodiles in the Nile are called Nile Crocodiles and they might sometimes venture near the delta at the Mediterranean, it is very rare for them to live in the sea. They are found all over Africa, not just the Nile though.
