We caught a mouse and decided to keep it because it was pregnant. Had the babies and one baby is sickly so removed it to care for it and it died of internal issues. Later we found the mother had devoured the remaining babies. After a bit of research we discovered that mice sometimes eat their babies when they're sick so we think all of them had intestinal issues. We released the mouse though.

Yup... bad parents purposelly do bad stuff to their kids. While these animals have no choice. That's nature for you. What might seem like bad parenting to you is something actually good and a smart thing to do to ensure the survival of their species.

fun fact: if a male seal is not strong enough to win a female it will pipe the first penguin that it sees.and when its done the seal will sometimes let them go but normally it just eats the penguin.

I heard for pandas in captivity, the zoo keepers would switch out the mother's cub every few hour with her other twin cub so that both cubs get time with their mom.

Yeah. If I remember, Panda moms only care about 1 cub. So if a mom had more than 1, only one will be fed

Yes. Since it's crucial to increase the panda population, the guards take care of the cubs and switch them so that the mother treats them both.
