It should be noted that at early minutes of 1-st Ice Age movie, when Soto and Diego standed at the edge of small mountain observing humans, the later tells the former about their (or rather Soto's) brother's being hunted down for meat and skin by humans whom they observes (which is the main motivation of main villain) and given the numbers of humans wearing it or by Soto saying "Half our pack" it could be counted 5 or more by counting other animals, whcih it could be around 12 (Saber Tooth Tigers and other big animals).
Fact: Cretaceous was an ichthyosaur, and Maelstrom was a pliosaur, two different species of prehistoric reptiles who dwelled in the oceans and, therefore, can't politically be labelled as dinosaurs.
@@thekrookodilehunter7993 It's possible, but so far, no fossils that resemble what might be Cretaceous and Maelstrom's skeletal design. So we can't say for sure what specific species they are for sure; the same mystery as the breed of Hopper's canonically seen murderer who may have possibly been an American goldfinch in A Bug's Life.

Apparently Squint didn't die in the 4th movie. He went on to be the villain in an Easter special called Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade where he was voiced by Seth Green. He probably died in that one though since he steals a basket for a raft and it sinks it him in it.

I like how you included the frozen animals from the first movie. But I’ve never thought about this but are frozen animals really dead once they’re frozen because they’re often depicted being in a deep sleep that they’ll never wake up from.
They can't breathe when frozen. Any oxygen-reliant creature will eventually die when frozen because 1) Their lungs will most likely be frozen and unable to operate; and 2) air can't move through solid ice.
@@ellidominusser1138 well the 2 sea creatures and the pirannhas came from the ice when it melted -it is stillan animated movie with cartoon laws so many of the "deaths" in this video did not happened in the movie... like, the "rhinos", rudy the white suchomimus survived a fcking huge fall but the dodos and the "turtle" (glyptodon) didnt? also crabs can lose their limbs then regrow it when they molt
@@velociraptor7005 yeah but realistically those should be dead, I don't want to guess if the movie gives them super powers to make them survive massive falls or just simply lets them fall to their death
@@Elephant-Puppetsharp shards of ice can cut you. Realistically no animal can survive being truly frozen in ice. But the film’s somewhat follow cartoon logic
The "turtles" are actually giant armodilos. Also i dont think the piranahs scrat fought, or the pterosaurs and guagnlangs the herd were fighting died either, they were just knocked out
Stu the Glyptodon had it worse. He got ripped out of his shell and savagely eaten by two sea creatures (Cretaceous and Maelstrohn), that’s a way more painful and disturbing way to die.
I think the frozen animals aren’t dead, because the Deinosuchus Cretaceous and the Dunkleosteus Maelstrom were frozen, but still lived when the ice was melting in ICE AGE 2.
squint didn't die he was the villain in the easter special in which he stole all of the eggs and painted them sending the main trio of the entire franchise on a wild goose chase as revenge
Actually he's death , that's because in short movie,he apparently dies after drowning in water.... However tribulation pirates don't appear to have died( expect: captain gutt and squint)
Its confirmed that squint survived In the easter short movie he appeared again and he had a wife and a son and the son would later become the easter bunny
He is his brother and mother ... Actually he's death , that's because in short movie,he apparently dies after drowning in water.... However tribulation pirates don't appear to have died( expect: captain gutt and squit)

I don't care how many deaths or how dark Ice Age actually is, I will always treasure the cozy times me and my family had watching the first movie, i was just 8 years old when it came out
The fact that this is a movie franchise intended for kids Is really suprising (atleast for me) how fine they are with just killing some of these creatures
