Tango, I gotta say, Decked Out is one of the most impressive feats of building/game design that I've seen not just in Hermitcraft, but in Minecraft as a whole. The dungeon itself is not only insane, but the card/difficulty balancing along with all extra mechanics - clank, hazard etc. is next level, only compounded by the fact that it was made mostly by one person. Genuinely impressive and it shows what Minecraft as a creativity toy/tool is capable of.
He was a game developer remember so his creativity skills are definitely there... Id love to see this imported by mojang into the hive type servers (only so it works on console)... Tango of course should be fully credited and given royalties... Spent countless hours watching the streams of this being built... Absolutely phenomenal... The guys a legend
Id love to see Tango building a DO3 with the create mod. He could do so much stuff. He could have rooms literally moving at random in the dungeon, basically creating a new experience every time 🙂
Hypno has keen eyes while Pearlo is just so curious. Both are so formidable with finding those eggs. Meanwhile.. Gregg was very much visible, it just taunted a lot of people if they can even reach him. Very fitting.
Those eggs have been such a great addition to the season! They're so adorable and have found so many creative uses, shout out to Jev for the original event!

@@fraz1142 I'm basing Scar's info off of the "The dungeon Archive" spreadsheet. I think there are clips of Scar telling other hermits he's found it, and it's known that he replaced the falsegg block, but no footage of him actually finding it. I assume he wasn't recording at the time if he hasn't released it by now, the Falsegg block was replaced way back in September.
Tango repurposed the egg from the easter hunt at the beggining of the season, all the hermits that participated in that event have an egg in the dungeon. That's also why there isn't any Tango or Etho egg
Hypno: I noticed a suspicious wall in a previous run, so i will methodically check if there is an egg behind it. Scar: AAAAAAAAAAA I ran into a wall AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA why is Stress here? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (heartbeat at 180bpm) [...] Wait, how did i get there?
i feel like do2 all eggs would be a great category. all cards would be cool, but any category that needs multiple runs would be rough with the 5 minute reset timer. 100% would take forever with the amount of rng (artifakes could take a long time). but easter eggs is doable in 1 run, and if you include whatever is hidden from viewers in the burning dark as an easter egg, then you would have to visit all 4 floors which would be cool. I guess the biggest thing is whether you include the trip back out in the run. i think maybe call the category loot all easter eggs? Oh! just count the gauntlet at the end as an easter egg. although that sounds incredibly brutal
@@more-reasons6655 I would think it is a costum deck, the speedrunner would build. Of course you need to be smart in building your deck that you can speedrun thought the dungeon with jump boost otherwise you cannot get to some of the eggs. So there is already a great amount of RNG in getting the correct cards alone.
@@PieMastyr My idea was to get the artifact as well. The speedrunner could be required to play on deepfrost dificulty so they have to go to level 4. The speedrunner can always decide to find some of the eggs on their way back to the exit of the dungeon.
Honestly, Pearl and Hypno should get an extra card called Egg Hunter. Where it would work a bit like Speedrunner. At the beginning of the round, X amount of embers and crowns would be deposited in one random egg barrel and be removed after 5 minutes. It would be nice if they got a tangible reward like that for the work they put in. Hypno sacrificed so many runs searching for eggs.
It seems so long ago that Jevin hosted his Easter Egg hunt, and here we are..... Wow, what a season we've had so far with Hermitcraft, and there's still lots more to come.
I just took a college tour the other day, specific to their game design program because that’s what I’m considering going into. The professor was talking about some of the skills or methods that are developed throughout the program and the entire time I was just mentally noting “oh I saw tango go through that process for decked out” and such it was pretty cool !
Tango was originally working in Game development for a company and actually made a few games (that never came out :) but he was able to make HermitCraft into a success (yeah) Now he has come full circle to game development for HermitCraft :)
Love Pearl’s excitement at finding her own egg! Thanks for putting this together, Tango. The other day I was literally trying to find a compilation video that showed all the hermits finding the eggs.
'Monumental' has now become a word with multiple, equally-important meanings. Completing the monument to level 4, and just how incredible this entire DO2 project has been and how well-received it's been. Amazing work, Tango.
The perfection of stressed Scar finding the Stress egg by chance XD thanks for compiling all the egg locations and massive GG to Pearl for finding the most eggs!
Thank you for putting this together, I was so curious about who found which egg. Props to Pearl and Hypno for their dedication. Clearly, we would have thought that with the time Etho spends in the dungeon he could spare a few minutes looking for eggs but no. Thank goodness those two were here otherwise we would have waited a lot more to see the Burning Dark. Also, I completely agree with the other comments about the speedrunning category Egg%
Awh this brings back so many memories!! Watching a lot of these live (especially Hypno and Pearl) was SO exciting, especially in the early phases. How have you managed to make me feel nostalgic about things that happened just a few months ago?!
tango, i know this might be very difficult to achieve, but imagine an alternative gamemode / gameplay where the goal is to visit every Easter egg and press a button or something along those lines. would be very interesting and could prolong the playability of the dungeon
hey tango :) the burning dark looks AMAZING. the build feels really ethereal and i got so excited when it finally opened for the hermits🖤🖤 watching deepfrost runs has become my favorite part of decked out🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I've kind of only been watching Etho's decked out runs and sadly he hasn't found any except the Joe one late, but i constantly wondered about the powdered snow when i saw items like the berries sink into the walls!!! I SEE NOW also, now that i think about it, since Etho wasn't there for Easter we haven't gotten an Etho egg!! i hope we do sometime
Yeah, Decked Out 2 is a moment in Minecraft history that you will kick yourself for not watching through as it played out. Absolutely phenomenal Tango 👏👏
It’s really fun seeing these eggs get used again in this season. It’s also weird to think that the Easter egg hunt that these eggs came from was this season.
Thanks for making a compilation! I had seen most but missed a few. And I certainly wouldn't have wanted to miss that clip of Scar, that was great! My next favourite is probably False finding Impulse. I had seen that one originally but still think it was fun.
@TangoTek Concerning card limits: you should be able to lock all droppers(with the iron nuggets for the card limits) after a quickstep-card draw. The next drawn card can be setup to remove the dropper locking -> Card after Quickstep won't move iron nugget | One redstone line on top of all droppers with iron nuggets, to lock them once after Quickstep. One redstone line under the blocks with the redston lamps to reset the lock after next card draw. Limits won't need to be changed, only limit for the card after Quickstep will be affected.
To make a minigame out of a minigame, i feel like decked out 2 would be a perfect place to play hide and seek. Scale difficulty be choosing what levels to hide in, those who are found help the seeker, etc. Gotta hide but also gotta not die to all the mobs
MAN, this stuff is my language! I love secrets in games, and these are so creatively hidden, visually rewarding (such cute eggs), financially rewarding with crowns; and most are quite difficult to find, especially with a game as stressful and time-conscious as decked out. So freakin' COOL!
Came to the comments to maybe give you an idea that sounds like fun for the hermits in my head! Maybe consider a plunder mechanic/card or something that allows you to bring certain items into the dungeon and stache them in secret spots like the eggs so hermits can hide their treasures! Which would get others to look for people's spots and try to find their own spots
Thanks for Posting this Egg Hunt Clips Tango. Before the Other Clippers Posted it to their YT. I didn't watch the other egg hunt Pearl Did. Good to know.
You did a fantastic amazing and clever job with hiding the eggs! I have no words for Decked out in general, you have done such a great job! Maybe do more delegating next time to lighten the load ;) Thank you to your family who I am sure have think you have moved into your studio. Thank you for the entertainment and sharing your passion of creating games. Don't be so hard on yourself, the job you've done is magnificent!
As excited as everyone was to find the eggs, it always seemed like the eggs also jinxed them as most of them seemed to fail the runs they found the eggs on.
Tango really put the sillyest guy in the sillyest place, in the highest place where everyone can see it, but no one can discover. Its like gregg is telling "I see no god up here"
