There's no wrong way to eat a Reese's but you can mess up the pronunciation of "Loewe." Fortunately, we are here to help you pronounce the names of those tricky designers.
As a French person: - Thierry Mugler: tee-eh-ree muh-glare - Nicolas Ghesquiere: Nicolas Gueh-kiaire - Sonia Rykiel: Sonia Ree-kiel - Balmain: Bahl-meh - Hermès: Her-mess - Comme des Garcons: Kohm deh Garsson (without the "n" at the end)
+Heather B My mom owns his Romance fragrance and will pronounce it that way when she talks about her go-to perfume. I really don't see there being a conflict with the difference, as thousands of people are probably pronouncing it the plain way all the time.
Almost all names that are not English/American are pronounced completely wrong here. If interested, go to Vfiles channel to get the right pronunciation.
Also, Gurung actually is pronounced Gooroong. I mean, idk, maybe Prabal wants to make Guhruhng official (I haven't heard him say it himself) but in Nepali, it's Gooroong ...
Gosh It's not hard to say Demna Gvasalia, sounds like for Americans everything is hard to pronounce, if it's not English. Very easy to read Georgian names, or Georgian in general. You read and pronounce the way, it's written.
You and Garance Dore are possibly my greatest inspirations when it comes to writing and blogging. During this video all I was attracted to was that giant board of notes and ideas. I have one like it in my office (at home, a lot smaller). Would you ever consider diving into giving blogging tips? How to grow in it? How to manage ideas? They're constantly flying out of me, but more often than not I feel too litter, too inadequate. That in itself is a problem.
Prabal like trouble! He was my neighbor in the Loeb hall dorms. I remember him introducing him that same way. He wasn't even trouble back then, he was shy.
Monique Lhuiller is Filipino and we actually pronounce her last name differently: loo-wil-yer. I'm not sure where the name actually originates from (maybe Spanish) as we have been colonized by them. I believe the correct pronunciation of anything is determined by the very person that started or owns it.
not at all. She's French and Filipino, her father's French, her mom's Filipino. Her name is her father's name, so it's French and it's pronounced MOH NEEK LUH EEL YEAH
Actually, you pronounce Demna's name wrong. You should pronounce his name without applying English or French rules of omitting certain letters in certain situations. So you should pronounce G "in Gvasalia" and you should say D-e-mna, not D-i-mna. Both - name and last name are of Georgian origins and we pronounce all the letters incorporated in the name.
LMAO!!! I loved this video!! I loved how she pronounced French names with a French pronunciation (even tho she forgot to pronounce Lanvin and Rykiel the French way..) :'D
Ahn Duh Meulen (pronounce 'eu' like how you would pronounce the 'i' in bird) mehster. Not pronounced as the English Ann, not Mule, not meester. Just a little Flemish lesson--hope that helps! :)
the "an" is Lanvin is not a sound that exists in English but if you know how to pronounce the sound "em" in the french word " temps" meaning " time" or the " an in " anglais " as for "English " you will get it right.
Pour les marques françaises que vous prononcez de manière incorrect, il suffit que vous vérifiez ici : fr.youglish.com/pronounce/lanvin/french/fr? For French brands that you pronounce incorrectly, just check here: fr.youglish.com/pronounce/lanvin/french/fr?
Some of the French brands are not pronounced correctly : Hermès not with a Z at the end but an S, it’s not Lanvine but Lanvin. Anyway, I’ll still pronounce Levi’s the French way cause it’s horrible in English.
it's not Vaaaaaaaaaaaali, it's Valli, short a, focus in the l's (that's exactly why there are two of them ;)) Also, no need to say Giambattiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiista - there is an emphasis on the i, but not a strech like this.
