What I like about the K&N air filter is that all you have to do to clean it is unscrew the clip and pop it off. Spray the cleaner, let it sit, then take a air compressor and spray it out, lightly put oil on it. Cleaned good to go until it gets dusty and dirty again
I got a K&N air filter on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500... bigger one, like 25 horsepower added. That, a hypertech power programmer, exhaust system. The ‘03 hemi 1500 ram makes 345hp stock. It’ll make probably 415hp maxed out is what I’m guessing. On its tune now it’s sitting at 395hp. I’m liking it’s settings so it’s been kept on it for years. Original owner done all this work to it. Good buys. It’s really quick and the power is instantly there when you want it. It’s a savage truck. I freshened that truck up. Repaired the rear fender rot, sprayed the frame (had barely any surface rust frame Is I great shape Anyways) solid truck. High mileage still hauls ass. A air filter is a great mod for some power
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc the hemi is extremely tempting to always step on it. I do all the time but my ‘03 ram has over 200k miles. Still solid! Hauls ass. Original owner took great care of it buuuut... I live in NY. We get bad winters. Therefore, the truck had rear fender rot and rocker panel rock. After a year driving it stock I repaired the bed rot and replaced the rocker panels. Look like a sharp brand new truck. Just gotta take it easy with it now. It’s pretty much a winter/work/ fun truck now. It’s got the instant power right at your toe. It’s savage. When it’s moving at a certain speed. Say I’m goin 40mph... I want to get on it... it’ll downshift and just instantly pull. Savage. Love it man. I bought a used ‘17 1500 hemi not long ago. It’s got a supercharger on it, headers, exhausts, tuner. Almost 500hp probably 485. I’m thinking about going for a rebuild on my 03 soon. Going a little over 500hp. Hopefully will run 11s with it if I plan on taking it to the strip again.
I have/use K&N on my 97 chevy. Got a good deal on a 93' f350 dually 7.3 idi and ima do some work to suit it up nice. Might go with K&N again. What tips do you give me to suit up a diesel?
As much as it kills me to say, any newer diesel after 2017 I think it is. You’re actually hurting it if you delete it. The newer def system run decent enough to not hurt the motor
