I happen to stumble on to something. The wikipedia for 102 Dalmatians says the game was developed by Toys For Bob, the company behind the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, and yet looking up the list of games by Crystal Dynamics reveals 102 Dalmatians to be one of them. Watching this video seems to confirm that Crystal Dynamics overall made it. I'll be picking up both it and the PS1 Emperor game around Christmas, but the former overall I'm looking forward to now that I've played Gex 3 and had a blast playing it.

@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862 Sometimes I find different sites give different info, so it can be hard to determine who exactly made what, I usually just go with the majority when unsure. It's a fun game tho! Hope you enjoy em when you get around to them :)

@@SeanSeanson the “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command” TV series is a great addition to the ToyStory-verse; moreso than “Lightyear”. Disney doesn’t give much appreciation to Side-B Projects like Song of the South (even if racism is controversial, but it’s more of caucasians having a superiority complex, if you ask me), and although Simba’s Pride sucks, 1 1/2 is a palette cleanser by giving us a midquel telling us the events of the original movie through the eyes of Timon and Pumbaa (in a similar narrative as “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead”). There are some DTV Disney Sequels that fair better than others; my personal favorites are the Aladdin Sequels (plus the TV Series), the aforementioned Lion King 1 1/2, the “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command” series, and Kronk’s New Groove. BTW, Code Monkeys making Goofy’s Fun House? That explains the video conversion in the Dingo Pictures themed PS1 and PS2 programs.

What was so amazing to me as a kid when it came to the movie tie-in Disney games was the fact that they were usually translated and dubbed into my native language of Danish. Something that just hadn't been the case whatsoever on any previous console generations. This was also a big reason why I would tend to play simpler games like platformers until my early teens when I actually started to learn English. Text-heavy games were just a no-go otherwise. I remember how mind-blown me and my brother were when we first played through A Bug's Life on the PS1 and the characters would suddenly start speaking in a language we could actually understand and not just some gibberish that might as well be Klingon to us xD

Even years later people are watching this. You did a great job covering all the Disney games. My memory is so outdated, like you mentioned Toy Story 2 as a Disney game and I was so confused, but then I realized "oh yeah Disney bought Pixar". Toy Story 2 was an amazing game. I liked Hercules too, really tough game and you had to beat it on hard to get the actual ending. Tarzan and a Bug's Life were also up there for me.

Hoo boy, what a nostalgia trip! Somehow had a chance to play nearly all of these sans the baby games during 2000-2002 years, and I wholly agree with the ranking. The common themes among these are "short" and "insubstantial" but there's still fun to be had, at least with the top 10 games for sure. DDR and Tetris games with their soundtracks were a wild discoveries. Thanks for making this top-tier quality video. The length alone speaks volumes of how much it took to put it together, and you're an absolute madman for it.

The Lion King game was my first 3d game I’ve ever played back when I was 3 or 4 years old. I remember when I picked up the controller, moved the joystick, and saw Simba move by using my own hands. Everything just clicked for me. Not sure how else to describe it. It was nice seeing the game again here. One thing I definitely remember is when the game would start to play one of the cutscenes from Lion King 2, the game would just freeze but if you just wait 15 minutes the game would skip the cutscene and let you start the level. My disc was probably scratched but from the software perspective I have no idea why it would behave like that instead of crashing.

I'd have to guess that the reason they had to make up some characters for the Walt Disney World racing game may have likely been because all of the more iconic Disney characters like Mickey, Donald, and Goofy were reserved for another Disney racing game for the N64: Mickey's Speedway USA. I would say that the Stitch: Experiment 626 game for PS2 is a lot better than the PS1 Lilo & Stitch game, IMO. It helps that the game has a more unique feel compared to how the PS1 game was just trying to emulate the Crash Bandicoot formula (which I think even Donald did better in his game).

102 dalmatians was an awesome game. It was very reminiscent of the Spyro games on PS1 (which were also excellent) I plan to re-play that game some day. Emperor's new groove though had me FUMING. I even made a rage montage of that game on my channel. The roller coaster sections towards the end were a nightmare. I almost didn't finish the game because of them.

2:49:12 - I admit, it definitely gets repetitive but I still love this game. LOL, this is pure nostalgia talking as this was the only game I could afford as a kid. I played the heck out of this game. I think I even 100% the game. Hahaha plus Emperor's New Groove is a pretty good movie. PS: LOVE THE CONTENT! :) Just found you. YOu weren't recommended, I just found you.! :)

Interestingly, 102 Dalmatians was one of the first games made by Toys for Bob, who are now in charge of the Spyro franchise. Full circle?

Alright Sean I apologize, that was a fair ranking for Magical Tetris. I would personally have given it number one, but that's because I'm a sl*t for Tetris. Really enjoyed this video, can't wait to see what else you got.

1:53:52 What's up with the bodybuilder pic here lol? Beside the bed? Also fun to hear Sean talk about tank controls then say "tank-fully" in his gorgeous accent in the same bit. Was just sweet.

Wow man you actually played all these games you have such a good patience to even finish the boring games, I wonder how much time they all took, also Aladdin Nasiras revenge was my favourite childhood game I finished it last month and it wasn't that boring for me , maybe because nostalgia beats the boringness
@SeanSeanson

Nostalgia definately beats boringness. There's plenty of games that are so deeply routed with my childhood and early love of games that I can completely overlook how "good" the game is, and honestly it's nice thing to have and experience as it's quite rare to get something like that nowadays when playing a game. As for playing the games it took a little over a month to capture footage and thankfully since most of the games were very easy and usually took no longer than 2 hours to beat it wasn't as arduous and it could have been. Although the last stretch of games was quite the struggle 😅

Man I can't believe how many of these I played. Some only as Blockbuster rentals. I still think A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2 and 102 Dalmatians are worthy platformers that have such cool stuff going for them. Really old memories surfaced from this.

A great video... Have you thought about doing something similar for Looney Tunes PS1 games? There's less of them so it would be a shorter but still very interesting video, I feel.

I've considered it, but ive already done a full review on sheep dog n'wolf where I talk about a few of the others briefly so it would be a lot of retreading. Never say never though!

I wish these games would get a remaster as a compilation similar to how the sega mega drive ones were for ps3 and 360

There are...so many PS1 Disney games. I have nostalgia for a couple of these, weirdly they're some of the worst haha, Lilo & Stitch and Monsters Inc. Tarzan is one I also liked, but first played it on PC as a kid. I'm curious to try a couple of these, some morbidly so (like that Lion King game...). Great work! That's a hell of a long vid. As for category suggestions...maybe every PS1 Game based on a TV show ranked? Could be a nice spread, like X-Files to...Weakest Link. It's not a good suggestion lol

I have nostalgia for plenty of bad games, its just part of growing up with a console. We end up getting a lot of kids game haha. Oh, good idea, I've got plenty of ideas for the future but I'm always open to suggestions, there are nearly endless options for the PSX library alone. They just take a very long time to make :P

I remember being a kid walking through Toys R Us and Blockbuster and trying to judge what the best game to get would be. So many of these I saw and considered, didn’t get, but always wondered what they were like so thank you for this complete list. A few thoughts: 1)Buzz Lightyear of Star Command- objectively not a great game, but I always loved the character and to me the environments seemed very much like the show. I’ve seen the show and I definitely enjoyed it. I feel like the game nailed the look of the show and I loved the banter with the villains in the beginning/end of the level, it really added a lot character. That being said, you don’t experience the game until level 8 when the difficulty goes up to 11/10. Just watch a video of the wire wolf level (level 12) and you’ll see how difficult it can get. Although the controls were frustrating as a kid, I have grown to appreciate the unique game mechanics. Surely there is no other game like it and it felt like a fresh idea 2)WDW MRT: I loved this kart racer. As a kid who visited Disney world, it made me remember the good times of my trip and the tracks do a good job at nailing the themes of the rides. I definitely think this game was underrated 3)Would definitely recommend Toy Story 2 today. It holds up extremely well. 4) Lilo and Stitch wasn’t terrible. I kind of like it after multiple play throughs. The Lion King, rightly, is a train wreck 5) I always wanted to play Toy Story racer but never got it. It does look fun, but I’m wary of the grinding for sure. 6) 102 Dalmatians I haven’t heard of , but looks pretty impressive and fun. 7) I’m absolutely floored by how good Atlantis looks on the PS1. I never saw the movie, but the game looks like it holds up well. 8) very impressed by Mickeys Wild Adventure and Hercules with those cartoony graphics. Didn’t know ps1 had anything that wasn’t ugly 3-d textures lol. Good work man! Thanks for letting me relive some childhood.

Hi, in that pop'n music game you needed some translation to sort out a possible menu option. Did you know we can use android apps like google translate and such apps to translate pretty much anything in a picture or your phones camera feed. You won't be gaming like that but sometimes if you get stuck somewhere and can't find guides, such translate apps can help. I tried it on the menu options you showed and it seemed to translate it into something at least, if it was something sane and or helpfull i don't know though.

Yessssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course the game based off my favourite movie no less and the game is already an actual NOT near Masterpiece itself! :) Also although this was 2 1/2 years before hand, it’s very fitting that toy story 2 Would be number five on your list…… :-)
