I am confused, how does this not violate Shueisha's trademark? There is no reference in your advertisement or on the product page that you have any right to make this and sell it. Very sketchy.
hello artur , first thanks for the beautiful easter eggs video, i didnt notice many of them, really enjoyed it, about the globe, does that work even for iran?
Oh snap, well those twerps are forgettable. When I get to those episodes I'm gonna be paying attention. I think I'm rewatching for the fourth time now. Lol on one I remember really is the green haired one, which I think he was the onion?
You missed one in episode one: Luffy telling Coby he is planning to infiltrate the marine base by flying on a gigantic bird, which is how he got to Orange Town in the manga.
I like the subtle nod to Zoro always getting lost. In Kaya’s house he gets lost looking for a drink and says “This place is a maze.” And in the next episode when he finds Luffy with Koby and Helmeppo, Luffy asks “How did you know where to find me?” And he answers “I didn’t. I thought I was going back to the house.” But he was actually going the opposite direction. 🤣🤣🤣
fat chance this is netflix, this is the peak of what they can do, once the actors start asking for money this show will go to ruin. hopefully oda nixes that, but thats the best outcome in this sick world.
One I thought was fun is in the anime, when Gin says Mihawk attacked the Krieg ship for no reason, Chef Zeff jokingly responds "maybe you woke him from a nap". In the live action, this is the actual reason Mihawk gives to Krieg as to why he attacked them.
one amazing detail that many haven't noticed is the design of the building behind roger's execution platform. Since loguetown was originally insipired by florence, the building is inspired by santa maria del fiore, the most iconic cathedral from the city. putting the two building side by side is mindblowing!
Buggy's Devil Fruit power in live action is really unsettling and it goes to show why the Devil Fruit users were seen as freaks by civilians of One Piece.
I loved how menacing he started out but quickly became a gag character once the big boys stepped in....which is exactly how I felt watching the anime. Even more menacing in live action for sure tho. Ward is killing it, laugh reminds me of Mark Hamill. So yeah hats off to him.
Props to whoever knows or remembers who Kong is , he only appears two times in the anime for like one minute and maybe 3 in the manga including panels.
@@MugiwaranoTonyDStark to be fair though the people watching this channel and watch content out of the show are probably more knowledgeable about the show than most. Most of us probably know Kong.
In the episode where Koby and Helmeppo have Luffy walking away from Kaya's mansion, and Zoro saves him. Luffy thanks Zoro and asks if he did it intentionally, to which Zoro replies, "No, I thought I was walking back to the house." The well he climbed out of was literally at the back of the house, and he managed to get that far lost. Perfect Zoro moment to illustrate his complete lack of direction.
One thing I noticed in the background of Arlong Park was an octopus statue that looked like it had been decorated like a shrine. Possibly an explanation for why we didn’t see Hatchi in live action.
Hatchi could have left Arlong long before bec he was probably more sympathetic to humans than the rest. So Sabaody would be where we might see him again
I know the live-action has flaws, but this is the type of live action we always wanted to see. The respect to the author and source materials is really showing that the series maker know what they want to make and they bring our beloved manga/anime to life. This is what fans always asked all the time, you can change several things to make it works for live-action but never stray away from the source materials too far! This is the best live action of all time for me! Hope the season 2 will be better!
Completely agree! I loved it, but it did have a couple flaws that can be improved on. So I'm hoping the show gets popular enough for them to want to keep the series going with an improved budget
Although sanji feeds Gin in the manga... in the Live Action he feeds him as well, but Sanji offers him "Corned Beef Fried Rice" which is also a reference to the Sanji Cookbook. I've made the dish several times! It's a family favorite
The kingdom Nami was born in besides a sea king, also looks very much like the Scandinavian Peninsula - which makes sense, as in one of the SBS in the manga, Oda said Nami would've been Swedish if she was from Earth.
Wow wait a second man. You worked on the easter eggs in the one piece live action?!?!? Like you worked with the crew directly??? Thats awesome! How did you manage to swing that?just your amazing breath of knowledge was seen by the crew or did you know someone or how did that happen?? Thats aweaome in any event though great stuff
God I loved the costume design in the show but I had no idea every single outfit they wore was actually something they had been depicted wearing in the manga at some point. Insane attention to detail.
Arlong having control of the East Blue as an underground kingpin they feared is a surprise compared to his anime counterpart who kept his domain at Nami's hometown.
@@2muchjpop Precisely. Arlong's goal was to take over all of the human world. Why would he just sit on one island? He wouldn't. I feel they kinda did Arlong's character better in the live action because of it.
@@Kanriel because it would raise a question why Smoker and Garp never went to capture him. In the anime he talked big, but his domain was still small and the reason why nobody went to him was because he paid Captain Nezumi money.
wow, I did not realise exactly how many easter eggs were in this live action until now. Although i noticed alot, I also missed alot! the detail is insane!
I'm not saying the LA was perfect; but it was AMAZING. I pray they do another season and end [that season] on Alabasta. That way, we potentially get; Laboon, Little Garden, Chopper, and Wapol. There's be so much they could do in another 8 episodes.
On one hand I agree. On the other... I dread to see Chopper in LA... if there is a place to mess up it's Chopper. Cute doesn't always translate to LA, especially with limited budget.
I really hope they can keep up with the quality like this. I desperately want to see a lot more cool moments that make me jump out of my chair like tthat sky island, water 7, marine ford, especially THAT punch on bellamy and the world noble
You spotted so many of them, and I am beyond words excited about just how many of them they squeezed in!! They didn’t have to make all of these little labels, images and outfits to be references, yet they did anyway! SO much love for everyone behind the OP LA ❤
The Library of Ohara Globe Push ad part feels like something ripped straight out of a 90's Cartoon Network commercial. It's really well done outside of missing the part where you're supposed to talk really fast at the end of the commercial, explaining all the legalities
Mikio Itoo also has a wanted poster in Chapter 1, he is the only one in all of One Piece with a bounty of 1 million ¥ since everyone else has Berry are a currency.
Great damn video, fantastic to see that the crew behind the show paid SO MUCH attention to all in-world details, really breathing life into the world, making it seem moving and organic. so many easter eggs! But I think I found one you didn't mention: in Ep.1 in the establishing shots of shells town, you can actually SEE Morgan's arms-out big statue on the roof of the base, twice.
Give me strength guys. I a 40yo man, using this live action take have convinced my MOTHER to watch the anime with me... She was balling her eyes out at Arlong Park. Oh boy..
It's no surprise that this series has 95% on rotten tomatoes, it literary glues you to the screen, regardless of if you were a fan already or not. It has some issues, but you can argue that the story is in some places even better, while maintaining the spirit of the series. With this rating and viewership, we are getting 2nd season, and I really hope they include Oda in the making and put in as much love as they did here. I haven't seen the numbers, but if profitable, maybe even more money will be put in season 2 ;)
@@youtubesucks1821 I hope so. Season 2 has a lot to cover. Should be everything from loguetown to end of Arabasta. I really hope this goes all the way! It's just like 17 seasons to do :D
@@pog519 no, the first season covered 95 chapters and the second season will cover till the 217th chapter(end of Arabasta). So it's gonna be more 10 seasons. But we know that at max, it's gonna go till Skypia
@@a.kzestos2085 I wonder if they get to Water 7 Saga if they'd do more episodes, I can't imagine water 7, summit war and later sagas being fit into 8 episodes.
They changed the time of the Arlong fight to be right at dawn from what I can tell. I think this is probably an intentional reference to Luffy's connection to the sun and dawn. Essentially an early small-scale version of him bringing the Dawn of the World. Zoro climbing up the well also reminded me enough of Luffy climbing the wall on Drum Island that I now half-expect they have already decided they won't be doing that scene and so decided to give a similar one to Zoro instead. Zoro's first words to Luffy were "get lost" which I have to assume was intentional.
The only thing I'll add is Arlong (I think) references Tom from Water 7. This is when Arlong enters the restaurant and says something along the lines of, "You humans only care about fishermen when we're your waiters or engineers". Tom was the engineer who trained Franky
@@julien827 What? Vivi isn't apart of the crew. She stayed behind. That's like saying Yamato, Rebecca, and every other person they've encountered is apart of their crew.
There's a theory saying that Luffy's personality changed after he had eaten the Gomu-gomu (or Hito-hito model Nika) fruit. He used to be kinda bitter boy who always got angry, but became a lot funner boy after eating the devil fruit. And I think this is also shown in the Live Action!
We can also see a wanted poster with a D and I making me think it’s a Diamante wanted poster Honestly the amount of details in 8 episodes is crazy I love One Piece so much
When Garp faces Luffy, he tells him to "give it up", to which luffy replies he's not very good at. Which is a reference to the 4kids one piece rap lmao
With how the season ended and time constraints, i'm pretty sure they are gonna skip Loguetown. Nami's already gunning for Reverse Mountain, and Smoker's already onto Luffy. Pretty sure Zoro's getting his swords in Whiskey Peak and that may be where they meet Smoker and Dragon. I just wish S1 had 2 or 3 more episodes, 1 more for Baratie, 1 for Arlong Park and 1 for Loguetown and the first part of Reverse Mountain, though that may have added 60M to the budget. Still really happy with how the show turned out.
I just found out that the budget of this show is $17 Million per episode. Seeing all these easter eggs showed how much effort they put into this series.
my favorite detail, is when Luffy reaches out to touch Merry, you can see someone in a yellow raincoat in the background. Clearly supposed to be an extra, but how it's framed, the placement of the extra, how there isn't another extra wearing something similar, it has to be intentional.
2 extra easter eggs might be: 1) When Shanks discovers that luffy ate the fruit, the sun shines behind kid luffy. 2) When smoker burns luffy 's poster, where luffy's left eye is burned first ( reference to the eyepatch pirate theory or the missing left eye from Skypiea map theory) i guess, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1: You could say that to every sun shine that appears in the LA. 2: There are a lot of references in the manga about the left eye missing but who knows if it is a callback or just a coincidence.
Dude, stop it. You're over interpreting. The only other easter eggs are : 1) Gin being at Roger's execution 2) Luffy talking about flying by grabbing onto a bird 3) Morgan's statue on the top of the Marine base (according to another viewer)
Small one, luffy asks koby which way is north before waking alvida, which I think is a reference to luffy thinking north is wherever its coldest, first displayed in syrup village
I am so impressed!!! I've been a fan for 21 years and I cannot pinpoint all the easter eggs you mentioned and some of them I can't even remember! Great job nakama!!!
Wow I'm amazed how you are aware what those easter eggs are referencing to. Also, a panda (reference to pandaman?) when Zoro climbed up the well in ep4
Captain Nezumi said to Arlong that Fishmen slavery was outlawed which is a total lie as the auction house is still a thing and Arlong said the Jinbei was a sellout for working with the government.
My favorite part is not really an Easter egg but memes on Zoro being lost where Zoro saves Luffy from the Marines during Kaya’s arc. Luffy says “How did you know where to find me” and Zoro replies “I didn’t, I thought I was heading to the house” then both of them starts walking the opposite direction.
Zoro climbing out of the well was a replacement of zoro trying to climb the slippery slope in syrup village. Also there was panda man behind him when he finally got out.
this is the kind of video I've been looking for.... where a dedicated fan shows us the different easter egss in the One Piece Live Action... I saw some of the easter eggs while I was watching on my own but this is next level.... It makes you appreciate more the love and attention to detail that the show runners put into it.
Really been waiting to hear all my favorite OP RU-vidrs discuss this❤. Glad the live action broke the alleged curse of adaptations💯. Also loving the success it had an influx of new fans.. I loved it and wanna see several seasons of the show. I just don't wanna see the show dragged on to Much especially with everyone aging etc 😅. I say a good stopping point for me Love action would probably be Enies Lobby if I had to choose or Maybe skypeia. Thanks for the vId Artur 💯
@@youtubesucks1821 the budget would get too immense for even Netflix to handle cuz One Piece becomes a fantasy at that point. I think that it's barely gonna go till Water 7.
I had zero expectations about this show, and i can say that when i watched it i enjoy it a lot! I think the cast was magnificent (except for Ben Benkman😢) and i cant wait to season 2 to be anounced.
this is how you do a live action for an anime..I do hope they keep the quality on next seasons & would do the same to others they plan on doing live action series
I don't particularly like the fact that nami was reading Noland the liar considering it was supposed to be popular in the north, explaining why only sanji knew about it. If they plan on continuing the story, it's going to strange hinting at Sanji being from the North blue.
Personally I really liked when Nami mentioned that they really needed a doctor on the crew and the shot immidiatley cut to Sanji CHOPPING vegetables. I didn't think it was intentional at first but given the all the details it actually might have been!
