Actually… No, I don’t think it was. It was extended when he talked about Gallifrey in episode 2, and the full version was used again in Boom Town while he noticed the name Bad Wolf following him.

Only new who. It didn't exist before 2005 after all.

@@keit99but then again, new who is much more of a collective story than classic who. so it makes sense that it would have musical motifs compared to the much less serialised classic who

Bringing it back was also great, but then destroying it again was the worst thing ever

@@Big_Bad_Gammon yeah it felt like we were all set for another massive journey to finding and saving galafrey again and then in the space of like 2 seasons the doctor finds galafrey, the master destroys it and the doctor turns out to be an ancient alien...davies seems like he is trying to work the whole orphan angle now, calling into question the doctors parents so that might go somewhere.

@@Big_Bad_Gammon This is honestly my biggest issue with the Timeless Child plotline/storyline. I don't care that they changed The Doctor's/Gallifrey's backstory (it happens all the time in Doctor Who and this is like the third retcon). I just hate that it undid everything the 50th set out to do and sort of made the 50th redundant.

Didn't the BBC National Orchestra of Wales began recording Murray Gold's score in Series 2?

​@@thanatos-zero-x I'd assume they did, but you can imagine if Eccleston stayed on for s2 it would've worked with the new version of the theme, he'd have been less single minded and open and happier

It was originally the 9th Doctor's theme but because it's been used across many different eras it's just become the definitive Doctor's theme.

This drs theme is THe doctors theme! Been heard in all the doctors part from the 15th doctor

It’s in part 2 I think it’s the duplication thing but tbh that’s my favourite ever use of the theme

Despite it being a different artist, he still could have put a hint of it in one of his songs like the people who make the music for SJA and Torchwood

@@CultOfThirteen and the same with star wars, other shows can sample John Williams when the scene needs it. And some scenes in Jodie’s era needed the doctors theme, or hints of the Dalek theme, cybermen etc.

I think they were able to, Murray Gold used some of Segun Akinola's music in the 60th.

The Time of the Doctor and The Doctor the Widow and the Wardrobe both use parts of ‘The Doctor’s Theme Series 4’, (which adds new notes which makes it sound different from the original), and it’s incorporated into the track ‘1969’

The name is “The Doctor’s Theme”. That’s the official title by Murray Gold. This is just for that track. It is used for 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

@@CultOfThirteen Yeah I don't deny that that's the title; not trying to say there's anything wrong with your video! But I think there's a difference between "The Doctor's Theme", in quotes, and The Doctor's theme, the latter of which changes with each Doctor, and the title can be interpreted as either. I'm not sure how the video could be titled to not have the ambiguity to be fair, but I think you can probably understand why I made the wrong assumption. And also to be fair, I probably should have realised this video wasn't doing the use of each Doctor's theme, because if it did it would be 3 hours comprising mostly of Matt Smith with "I am the Doctor" in the background!

The Collection is from the collection box-sets, and Lockdown was a series of mini episodes that released during the 2020 lockdown
