I know it was an entirely different composer but I really missed this theme during Jodie's era. That musical continuity would've made a world of a difference imo
Some are missing because they play twice in the same episode / story (for example World Enough / Doctor Falls have 4 variations and Utopia has like 10 000) But it's still one of the least used recurring theme!
My favorite use of this tune (not featured directly in the video) is from 10 or so minutes into World Enough and Time when the doctor is trying to convince Bill to play along with his test for Missy, and Bill prods him on what reasons he could have to believe Missy could be ‘good’.
This theme reminds me a lot of the Domino Squad theme from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Just like that theme it only appears a handful of times, and only briefly, yet it leaves an impression every time.
What about the one in The End of Time part 1 and World Enough and Time 😭 I think it would be better to do one per episode instead of one per story (since for S3 it was one per episode) I hate that all the ones from The Day of the Doctor got cut.
The final edit of The Day of the Doctor is very disappointing - especially finding out Gold composed an appropriate score for the story that was being told only for it to swapped for generic Smith era music that had little relevance to the story arc that was set up in the RTD era
@Doctor_What63 also agree, the final edit to dotd was a bit messy, quite a few obvious continuity errors. Clara with the bike in the TARDIS was one of the worst offenders, a year 11 GCSE media student wouldn't get away with making that error ffs 😂
It’s in case we do classic Who ones. One per episode becomes more gruelling in those instances due to the amount of parts per story. So sticking to the once per episode bar special cases just makes it a little easier. 😀
It’s “A Pressing Need To Save The World” and it’s a variation of All The Strange Strange Creatures and This is Gallifrey, mixed in together at this part of the song.
It’s Pressing Need to Save the World. The main sound is a variation of All the Strange Strange Creatures and the underlying sound is a variation of This is Gallifrey. 😀
