Actually, I just did a race in Austria on my team mode just yesterday. Anyway, my teammate Mick Schumacher bump into a BWT going into the pits. Mick went sideways causing a blockage and stopped like 5 cars. Anyway, Nyck De Vries hit the back of his Williams teammate Nicholas Latifi causing Nicholas to hit the car in front that he missed. This actually did cause a safety car to come out. And then one time in career mode on the first lap at Spa a McClaren caused him to lose control and hit the wall at Eau Rouge on the left side. That was probably just kinda similar to the Grojean crash he did actually hit the wall pretty hard that if it happens in real life it probably would look worse. But yeah this brought out a safety car. But I do see times where the AI will crash on the racing line like Bottas in Italy in my team mode game. He did crash on the racing line and they didn't do anything. So they should fix some things and make the safety car more common I would agree like it is for real.

That's what people won't understand...tbh I'd like if they include that again but we're all now in normal circumstances isn't "realistic"

Cus when some cars make a huge pileup, they'll be ghost. If they decide to keep damaged model or pileup as a solid object then put the red flag in the game will make sense. That's something that I really think any developer should do in this new console generation. But I don't think It'll be codemasters since they're so far from realistic damage or gameplay, I think other game like iracing or assetto corsa should try it tho.

I have had multiple races in normal career mode in Baku where a red flag would be appropriate and the crash was fully caused by the AI

@@samuele64246 Red flag will be much needed for certain tight tracks like Baku, Monaco or Singapore where some crashes can lead to the whole field being stuck behind the pile up. Red Flags are also almost common these days in the real F1 so it would be cool. Again, there should be an option to turn it off just like safety car.

Red flags are back for f1 23 so there have to be bigger crashes

provably because moving to the 8th gen was quite a task in itself for codemasters. take a look at F1 2015, that game didn't even had safety car, later they added it, split screen and other stuff aswell

I think it's quite important especially when the road is completely blocked because otherwise you get disqualified for stopping on track

I think in game Red flag is useless, because you dont wait, because that would be stupid

Im pretty sure the reason tires don't come off anymore is because the tires got better structures so Codie's just assumed tires don't detach anymore/were to lazy to put removable tires also the reason why theres no red flags

red flags in codemasters games where always a big mess. they never implemented it correctly. in reality the order in theast full lap before the red flag situation is used for the new starting ordner. codemasters never understood that which perfectly shows that they have no love for f1 at all. i never missed a single practice session since 1998 and codemasters f2 is a disgrace to the sport
