Many restaurants in the Philippines have picture menus along with the descriptions of the dishes. Just be sure to inform them about any food allergies you may have and you should be good to go.

Great video! Things you should add Filipino spaghetti haha , any of the breakfast (Silog) meats like Tapas, longganisa, tocino or Bangus How about at the beach having Kilawin with a cold beer….especially Tuna

Filipino spaghetti usually swaps out western/Italian pasta sauce for ketchup, and meatballs for cut up hotdogs. It's different, but still tasty.

When I woke up the next morning after marrying my beautiful and sweet 20 year old Filipina sweetheart I realized that she didn't know how to cook any American food. Because of unusual circumstances I had not had an opportunity to try any Filipino food. I thought I was going to starve the next few months until we got the situation straightened out. Fortunately, she cooked pork adobo for me that first night. I knew then that everything was going to be alright. While we were celebrating our 50th anniversary this past February on a Caribbean cruise ship the staff put together a special dinner for us with lots of rice and adobo. ❤❤

This was a helpful video thank you! I did not recognize a few of the foods, and I didn't realize kare kare has peanut butter in it. I just heard it was vegetarian. I actually tried to find a good kare kare restaurant in Angeles on my last visit but could not find one close by. Speaking of which it would be helpful if you could add links in description to restaurants around Angeles area that serve these foods and do a good job cooking them. I remember eating Sisig at (supposedly) the birth of sisig in Angeles. My friend and I were only foreigners there, so I took that as a good sign. We also had a great lechon meal in Cebu

The only food I'm "iffy" is Balut. Most of the others I've had at Philipino relations houses... Some German & Hungarian food is similar, just different spices.
