I like to think that Grevious is an urban legend in the Star Wars universe for Jedi and Sith. "It is said that, should you ever lose your Lightsaber, a large robotic being will come out of no where and take it". Then when they see it happen they're all awestruck like "Holy shit he's real!".

Its the moment obi wan force jumps over maul and cuts him in half. The moment he saw obi wan start the attack he probably was confused because of how stupid it seems to be (if maul had stabbed his lightsaber through obi wan as he started the jump and skewered himself on the blade. Anyways he was confused in that frame because he wasnt expecting the really op force jump from a beat up padewan

Head cannon. Grievous was rebuilt after being shot by Obi-Wan. But his memory was heavily corrupted only leaving his love for lightsaber collection intact. I always find it interesting that villains are labelled as cowards when they quite reasonably retreat but heroes are viewed as struggling with an understandable (but difficult) choice when they do it.

@@AeneasGemini well, it usually comes from the fact that villains leave their "allies" do die while they retreat. Granted this is the Droid Army we're talking about and how the Separatists handled their war strategies, there's this notion that heroes don't leave their own behind. Meanwhile, the moment things go south, Grievous is the first to flee the battle, which is, as you said, a fair decision that actually made kept him alive to the very end of the Clone Wars. I guess it is a matter of honor

I like the idea that Grievous is the Jedi version of an old wives’ tale and is always lurking around the corner to snatch up the lightsabers of any careless Jedi, which is why Obi-Wan always gets onto Anakin about losing or dropping his lightsaber.

0:57 was on point dude Only Greivous has the sheer confidence to casually say that. Others would’ve tried to catch the saber midair, or talk to him before he tosses it if not use the force. But Grevious the Master Planner would obviously jump into an ocean with open circuits to spite the Jedi so he could say he 1v1’d the ocean and won.

I love how every "loose a lightsaber" scene always has the characters on scene making the perfect face that anyone would make after seeing Grievous run outa nowhere to jump to his possible death. Also the parts where ppl somewhat animated grievous were funny 😂 loved seeing Grievous dance and "sing" lol
