I've been waiting for this review since rahdo mentioned it in your economic games video. Looks nice, hope it gets published in english with another theme maybe?
This is a very nice game, I've played it a lot on yucata.de, and I've bought the game as well. I like the cards that remove Patriarchs, I've even had 4 caravans (piles of cards) without having any Patriarchs in them!
Great game! I've been waiting for a US release of this ever since I saw rahdo do a runthrough for it. Fortunately, there's a very good online version of this in English on www. yucata. de
it would be nice to have some new art when they reprint/redo ? a little wonky with the text, but i like how you can flip to the matriarch... the filling of contracts is pretty straight forward. Saving or discarding cards seems pretty standard. The game recommends you don't play with some cards? haha, that's different.
Tom at 2:15 there is a minor thing you showed incorrectly on your demonstration of how the Patriarch works. You choose the Patriarch, move him to the back of the caravan, then draw two cards, and put one of them behind the Patriarch.
You can order the game in German (from Amazon.de or somewhere else) and once you have legally purchased a copy, you can reproduce the cards (have them printed in English) for your own personal use (you have the legal right for this at that point, from what I understand).
Die Legenden von Andor: Chada & Thorn, and the reason the mechanism is the same is because it's the same designer for both games (Kashgar, and Chada & Thorn)
Die Legenden von Andor: Chada & Thorn, i thought i say something from Kosmos mentioning that they were going to release the andor title in english in the next few years
