In the beginning of the episode when Emily and Lorelei are talking on the phone, Lorelei mentions that she is making Rory’s dress. Emily responds with something along the lines of “Hope you’re not using the curtains” which is a reference to The Sound of Music :)
@@Deevasi that's actually brilliant !!! Never knew abt this one .This adds to why the show was and still is a huge success , it had depth and great casting .
Hello, I stumbled upon your channel today and I love it. To be honest I was thinking of doing the same with Gilmore Girls but I am glad a native English speaker took over this job who doesn’t seem to be so bad at time management and scheduling as I am 😅 Maybe I could do a German version one day 🤔 I have only seen two videos of you but I will keep on watching. Thank you for your work ❤
The blanche reference was always golden girls for me and i also thought the cling film/saran wrap joke was a reference to the prank where you wrap it around a doorframe/archway and then you tell someone to come in and they walk into it bc it's see-through hence why lorelai said we're in here. Thats always been my thought process but maybe it is the dress
Lol for all these years, I thought Dean was saying "Trist-Anne," like he was calling Tristan a girl. I'm glad Dean was making a regular unfunny joke instead of an unfunny sexist joke. 😂
Listening to your review of the video is so wonderful, deep and really makes me love Serie Gilmore Girls even more. This depth your review gives to the episode is so valuable and makes all that happens clearer.
Evelyn made a whole opaque outfit when the book probably meant something like a single-layer minidress 😆 I love how you're not necessarily team Jess or team Logan, you're just team Not Dean.
this series is about pop culture references, but i love the insight you share at the end. id love an episode of you just talking about gilmore girls or gilmore girls characters when you finish a series or the whole thing (obviously not pressuring you) but id just like to say i love your opinions
11:07. You know. Nick Lachey is also very famous (for people my age) for staring in his reality show Newlyweds with Jessica Simpson. It was a big deal back in the 00’s
At the time for me it was in the "it's so bad, it's funny" category - but looking back on it, it was really rather creepy! Yes she came across as a bit of a ditz, but it wasn't her fault her parents failed to teach her life skills, and she was only 18 when they started dating, and and he was 25 - which makes how patronizing he often was to her extra gross!
@@amandabaker4678 yes, she was super sheltered. and I think she also came from like a small town, even though looks like to me that her family comes from money. And he was independet for quite some time. But I guess those are things you learn when you're dating. I'm guessing Nick didn't really care because she is ridiculously hot
Yeah, her father was a preacher, and she was very sheltered. She originally sang Christian music, but producers weren't interested because her breasts were "too big" and therefore "sinful". 🙄 So she moved into pop music. They LOVED her chest, and exploited her appearance.
I think there’s also a reference to an Eminem song about arguing who will make her miserable first. Doesn’t seem like there’s any relevance to the conversation except that she would know the song and that’s what the song sounds like
