My grandparents owned a hotel and they were good friends with the people across the street who owned a different hotel. Both were bought by Indians named Patel who weren’t related within a few months of one another.
Tbf it's super tribal so you can tell by bone structure and other hints. If he had a turban, you could assume he's sikh and his last name was Singh and he's wearing dark orange gold chains.
@@scottleggejrI had a classmate that has singh in his name. That dude was big I tell you. While most of the class was like 1.4m to 1.5m tall, that guy was like 1.8
LOL as a Patel I can attest to this. my folks own a hotel too, last one was econo lodge near an airport, current one is a super 8 off some highway strip. The stereotype of gujus is true among guju business owners; either 2star 3star hotel/motel business or restaurant/groceries. Thats all we got
yall are good people though. I went to a BAPS mandir and they were incredibly welcoming and friendly after they got over the shock of a white dude being there.
@@price5647 its the same as why there are so many Smith, Wilson, Reid, Cohen, Steinbergs etc etc etc. Patels are commonly originating from villages of India so in a sense the name stems from farmer life but obviously with time, diff professions migration etc.....just like any other family name
Dude.. same. Edit: Night audit as well and a nightmare of a job. Place was built badly on swamp land so everything was always falling apart. Swear it was haunted. 3rd floor had no cameras. Fire alarm malfunctions were not uncommon. Never knew when I was going home. Idk how many days I worked straight, no days off, before I quit. The other desk workers were also the owners daughter as manager and a cousin as another front desk employee both usually resided in the hotel or another 25 miles away but regardless I would have to wake one or the other every morning because they would not show up. They fired the laundry worker, the breakfast cook, maintenance, and almost every housekeeper because they didn't want to pay them. Finally came to my senses and realized slightly above shit pay wasn't worth doing my job, plus at least 3 other people's jobs I didn't sign up for, plus being my coworkers alarm clock, all the while being yelled at for every mistake they made.
Me too worked the night shift. The owners daughter managed the hotel lmao. All Patels. Also all the cleaners were Indian, lived at the hotel, and spoke no English lol.
You really need to know the difference between Paxtani and Indians. Paxtanis have to call themselves Indians to open businesses because they know how bad their reputation is. Even Indians gets duped when they step in an Indian restaurant and see beef on the menu!

It's kind of cheating though because the last name is connected to one's caste, which is connected to what professions one is born into, an Indian would already know what professions connect to what caste and therefore the surname.
@@lukegettingby4566 so you’re telling me indians are slaves to their last name snd it’s more common for them to get a job related to their last name than do whatever they want? i can understand that there’s a higher chance for him to guess it right but are indians really so simple?
