No literally. I got my first one in March of 2021 (MG Barbatos). Now I have 16 built on display and 8 in my backlog (I may or may not have a problem)

@@ranrise to be honest, I’ve not built one of them yet (I have the freedom ordered) but the mgsd line seem to be very high end even if you compare it to the mg line.

Don't sweat it too hard. I have a feeling when Bandai gets their new factory online we will see a return to more MG releases.

third party. they destroyed bandai this year. im not even bothered by bandais half assed MG kits after seeing how pathetic the zeta ver ka is.

My backlog is sitting at 75-125 kits currently. I just need more time to work on things. c.c

it's not a shortage anymore, they are deliberately ignoring gundam. Shortages aren't preventing them from forcing kyokai senki or synduality upon us, even if nobody is asking for those kits.

@@acidous You missed Kamen Rider kits which seem to be quite successful since they are continuing the lineup of Heisei era Riders, Macross kits and 30MM kits as well.

@@ronaldzamora8850 I remember about them, but because they ARE successful (like 30mm and macross) I'm not complaining about them. On the other hand, Kyokai and synduality aren't selling even in japan and yet they're getting more frequent releases than a freakin HGUC (which btw. sells out almost instantly, even if it's just a reissue of some older kit)

Depends on the popularity, Calibarn despite appearing very late in the anime made a really good impression, so with some hope Bandai might consider milking this MS

@@Serom_974 I hope so. Even if it comes out as a FM, I'd be satisfied. Despite the Full Mechanics not having an inner frame and some of the more advanced gimmicks of a MG, I am happy with my FM Aerial.

Well, I can tell you from the gunpla sales of the shop I help that the 1/100 Aerial did okay but nothing impressive and the HG version did a lot better (relative to their grades). My amateur prediction would be that judging by show popularity, looking at releases since Gundam Unicorn and taking Bandai’s slowed release schedule into account, that another 1/100 is likely but more than one WfM MG within 5-10 years is not. WfM’s popularity seems to be mostly limited to new western fans while people (outside Japan) have been clamoring for kits from other shows for a long time, like an MG G-self, Atlas and more from IBO. With the declining successes of Bandai (Kyoukai Senki especially which are technically competent kits but have no following at all), it’s clear that they’re increasingly trying to catch more short term successes. WfM was always going to sell, but I don’t think it’s the success they were hoping for and the appeal to Seed nostalgia rather than an immediate WfM movie seems to support that notion. Bottom line MG wise we’ll likely see new Seed kits and the usual UC+VerKa. No idea what RG they’ll do next but I think we’ll see a Barbatos before an Aerial.

It is extremely hard when you have a substantial amount of kits, to manage displays. My gunpla completed collection numbers in the few hundred (with some 75-125 on top of that in the backlog x.x) and most live in their boxes with the favorites displayed. Things get switched out/around over time, but it's tough when you don't have a fully dedicated display room to showcase everything.

If they don't copy the FM Aerial's torso structure that is. The FM Aerial is mostly solid but how did Bandai mess up its torso this much lol. Two thin pieces of plastic holding up the entire upper body

eh.. not really. it feels more like a FM or RE/100 than an actual ver. ka. also third party kits this year have shat all over bandai (mostly because they are tarding out with all the HG witch kits).

@@megaflux7144 Will disagree with you on it feeling like a FM or RE/100, but entirely agree that the 3rd Party scene has been on fire with how much awesome stuff has been coming out. They're really capitalizing on Bandai's lack of pushing MG kits.

@@megaflux7144 To make the anime accurate transformation, you have to give up a little bit. It has an inner frame that's for function rather than show, no hollow bits with only surface detail like a FM or RE/100 has.

@@kivulifenrir ... it doesnt have a full inner frame. it also has the least impressive shelf presence of all the ver kas. it has loads of hollow parts to accommodate the transformation which just makes it feel cheap... so it can sit on a shelf and never transform. be honest with yourself, it was an after thought. they could have done something new like a MG zorin soul or released a 2.0 of MANY old kits but instead chose to be lazy.

There's a third partt kit of a 1/100 Stargazer that will get out soon, for the HG I don't know :/

You can always buy a re-sale one, but you're gonna be paying a little bit more. Around $60 for an HG most likely. If it's really your dream build and you want it that bad, then it should be worth it for you. Always cool once you see them built and on display.

I think you mean the lfrith jiu as the anavanta isnt out yet, i think. and the lfrith jiu is pbandai in which he didnt include any pbandai kits

Personally, I like the Strike Freedom more. But Gundams like the F91, X Divider, and the Strike are my style.

Strike freedom hands down. The unicorn is overpriced and led strip tends to die within the year. If you want a light up unicorn just get the pg. but even then it’s unlikely that you’ll ever turn it on apart from once or twice as a novelty.
