Street punk: "Gimme your money fool." Bronson: "I'll see your knife and raise you a pistol." Street punk: "I'll see your pistol and raise you a machine gun." Bronson: "Well I'll see your machine gun and raise you a fucking Browning 30-cal." --Bronson wins.
7:32 It's always handy to have a M72 LAW rocket propelled 66mm anti tank weapon locked and loaded and ready to fire and casually left lying around in the corner of your living room, just in case...
When people ask why I need an AR-15 to hunt deer I answer them simply, I don't hunt deer with them because I don't worry about deer trying to take over the country and disarming it.
+turppa nollanolla Actually there is not evolution in camera movements, only travellings for nothing. Camera movements were development many, many decades ago. Today, the camera is moving without sense. Only must have camera movements when are necessary. The same thing with the edition today. In spite of decadence of artistry in filmaking in majority of movies in 70, 80 and 90 and later, these films (Death wish series) are model filmmaking in action sequences.
My friend, actor Tony Crupi, was "killed" in the second scene (white guy). He used to tell me what scenes to look for in advance of scenes he had cameos in.
"Those who do evil to others -- the killers, rapists, mugglers; gangsters, drug dealers -- will come to know me well. Paul Kersey is no more. Call me...The Vigilante."
Some haters would call these movies a rip-off the Dirty Harry series, but Death Wish, Bronson's character was TOTALLY LETHAL LIKE MARTIN RIGGS! Within seconds before even THINKING about begging for mercy, just like Chuck Norris, Bronson takes those bad guys lives so fast they don't even know its happening! I FUCKING LOVE YOU PAUL KERSEY!!! Just like Stallone and Schwarzenegger: Bronson wouldn't let his age stop him from thrilling audiences! Like a BOSS!!!
Electronics geeks do call radios from this era 'boat anchors' for good reason. Those babies took 6 'D' batteries. Calling them 'portable' was very optimistic.
***** Yeah, Death Wish 2 - 4 were shit. Let's face it, a shoulder-launched missile would have gone through a person, without exploding. Yes, I know, I fired the SMAW 2 in the Marines. It's funny how movies depict people being able to duck machinegun fire and survive the blast of high-explosives from a few feet away, not to mention direct gun fire. The first movie had a sense of realism.
+Justin Heretical So true. Yet all three successors are FUCKING HILARIOUS!! Abso---fucking---lutely HILARIOUS!! GREAT AND GREATLY ENJOYABLE to watch, as they rank as some of the finest and most sublimely rendered unintentional comedies of all time (and allow me to emphasize the term ""unintentional"")! Fuck, I'm laughing as I'm typing this right now! Ah, the divine rapture, the divine rapture!
Ward Cleaver: "Now Beaver, no rocket launchers, or 20mm anti-aircraft cannon shooting in the house. Or it's no radio tonight for you buster!" Beaver: Aawwweeee Dad, can I please? I promise I won't shoot the cat, or any of Mom's Hummel figures! Wally: "Gee Beaver, don't you remember what happened when I shot Aunt Gertrude's pet Komodo Dragon with Dad's old WWII bazooka last year? I was grounded for a week, & had to do all dishes every night. My fingers are STILL pruned out from that!"
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I love most about these movies, besides the razor sharp and spectacular dialogue, is the unchanging, always the same steely eyed look stamped upon Bronson's features. I've seen fucking scarecrows and wooden Indians with greater and more flexible facial mobility than that of Bronson in this series (as, basically, that is his natural and regular cinematic look). Fucking love it!!
You know, I never really realized how much of a post-apoc hellworld the setting of the Deathwish movies were. It's such wish fulfillment from the 70's and 80's.
Well technically shooting them all was a crime also. Plus the discharge of firearms in public. The use of full auto mg when I’m guessing he doesn’t have a proper nfa certificate. Vandalism and finally the use of high explosives without a permit. I’d say that day they went up 1337%. But then down drastically the next day :)
I spit my coffee out when the Laurence Fishbourne lookalike backed away using the ghetto blaster as a shield-and subsequently gets a mouthful of solid state electronics seasoned with lead.
My favorite part is where he shoots his gun. I wish that they would include Charles Bronson's picture next to the Punisher's bed in a comic. Ohhh that'd be priceless.
Back when automatic weapons were still legal. Now you have to go through a 1 to 2 year process to get one and they have to be made before 1986. It was probably for the better because you don't see too many criminals with them anymore. No I'm not anti gun, I own an AR15 among other guns.
Browning M1919A4. The M2 doesn't have a pistol grip, it has spade grips. It also doesn't have much holes on the barrel as the M1919A4 - as seen in the clips.
Gotta love the open fun fight with automatic weapons in a rollerskating rink where NONE of the skaters seem to notice or care that there is a deadly firefight going on.
The bullett through through the Ghetto Blaster wasting Larry Fishburne is Absolute Gold....good ole Charlie....Winners DW2 was real Grindhouse with a great soundtrack by his neighbor in London Jimmy Page !
Ole Chuckie Bronson.. These clips one after the other, after the other... total anarchy. I almost can't keep a straight face, especially some of those scenes from DW3 where him and the other police/ detective "walk" the streets, picking off the bad guys like low hanging fruit... lol
La mejor fue la serie de charles bronson. Su interpretacion fue genial. El tema, entodo caso, es como un secreto deseo de justicia que tenemos la mayoria en nuestro fuero interno. Es como ya el ultimo recurso. W1947.
Simon Leary It's funny you mentioned that. All the way through whilst I was watching, or to be more accurate listening, all I could think about was Lethal Enforcers, especially the scenes from Death Wish III.
mountainguyed67 Lethal Enforcers was an awesome First person shooter in the arcades in the mid 90's. 1 or 2 players with blue and pink magnum 357's. The graphics were good for back then, it was one of the best FPS's in arcades, it had no real competition until Time Crisis. It was ported to the Mega Drive and the SNES.If you're ever in an old-school arcade that has the classics, or still have one of those consoles, it would be worth having a go. :D Simon Leary I know at least once, when you had a spare £1 or 50p, you had a go at dual wielding! :D I can still picture it in the arcade, Shinobi or Mortal Kombat on one side, Ghouls and Ghosts or Double Dragon on the other, probably facing Streetfighter 2. :D Damn I want to go to a 90's arcade now!!! >XD
You want to bring back law and order and have people feel and be safe out in public, night or day? Well this is how you do it. Imagine millions of Paul Kersey's out there. The criminals wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell.
Do you ever think what makes the bad guys? It always has its reason, and shooting to death is pervert solution and against God's Ten commandments! Believe or not! This compilation praises the Second Fucking Amendment and is against the rights of life!
Honestly, I think that Rodriguez' zip-gun did the most damage per shot in those first three movies. Dude took out a creep and the entire windowframe in front of him.
