Underrated video man. Great details. I also expected costumes effecting moves. I noticed the DLC had Power pole Goku with an exclusive move which already confirmed what I was thinking about the game but also I'm still uncertain if the game might of adopted Raging Blast or ultimate Tenkaichi's custom move feature.

That’s a good question, Sparking Zero is clearly taking features from multiple games, like with RB you’ve got the same transformation HUD and with UT, they said they tried to mimic things like visual destruction from it. I’m leaning more towards RB for the moveset side right now because they also took the team ultimate feature from RB too, like Trunks and Goten or Kale and Caulifla ultimates.

But if I had to go from the series, for a 3 man team I will go for Super Saiyan Rosé Goku, Kid Buu and Beerus. Kid Buu was one of my faves in the OG games too, absolute menace with the combos 🔥
I imagine UI Sign would be the transformation that base Super Goku can access, and that you can only access UI Goku once you're in Sign. Makes sense since Goku hasn't mastered UI and can't activate it at will, while UI Sign is easier for him to activate
Well we pretty much know that MUI is a transformation based on the official character website. I wouldn’t be surprised though if they decided to separate UI sign to a new character and then transform to MUI once you’re in Sign.
Depending on how broken it is in the game, I definitely wouldn’t mind it lol. I remember in Budokai, there was a literal timer on SSJ4 Gogeta that barely lasted, because of how OP he was.
I really hope they make Chi-Chi playable in Sparking Zero, either as a surprise base roster character or as DLC. She hasn't been playable in a game since Super Dragon Ball Z, and her recent inclusion in Legends gives me hope that they could give her a moveset.
Some things I noticed are that when you transform, the character doesn't get any faster. In kakorot for example, when a character transforms, they're faster, the weight of their blows is more intense through visuals as well damage. It felt epic. You are also able to teleport at will, when simply flying toward an or around an enemy as apposed to only when dodging or performing certain attacks. In the old budokai games, they had a dodge/evade mechanic that when timed right, your character could evade punches and kicks while the opponent's hit nothing but air. If they implant these few things, it'll make the game even more epic!
Oh damn those are some really cool things you spotted out. I never played Kakarot but those are great to show the actual power level differences between transformations, for Tenkaichi they try to highlight differences through things like raw damage increase and combo speed. Yeah you can only really teleport through Z Vanishes or other techniques like Wild Sense that require enemies to attack you. For that Budokai mechanic, I think Sparking Zero takes the Tenkaichi model where if you click guard exactly when a opponent does something like a charged attack, you instantly counter. Also there’s the Sonic Sway mechanic which lets you punish opponents too. Hopefully they do end up adding new small features like you said for the final release 🤞

The Raditz fight showing his custom moveset, the Power Pole costume changing his moves, and there was even a new leak today from the Italian store that says there’s a new point system that’ll let you unlock new moves on characters. I really hope they add Beerus planet as a stage too, definitely looks cool and unique, I use it in my videos a lot :)

Lmao 100% I’ve seen people complain about him and Ribirianne being added, stuff like they are “wasted slots” even though this whole wasted slot idea is kinda dumb. The devs didn’t get 164 as the limit and go from there, the number came after they decided the roster itself.
My favorite thing so far intoduced is the level of destruction we can do to these stages. My least favorite tging is probably SSBE being a temporary buff and that he isn't as buff like in the anime.
That’s a really good point, the visual destruction effects actually look amazing, especially as they’re permanent and don’t just go away soon after. Yeah it’s a shame that SSBE isn’t a separate form, he definitely has enough differences like power, appearance (muscles) and moveset. I doubt it’ll even be worth using up 3 skill count just to have 15 seconds of it, hopefully they can at least extend the duration in the final game.
Ayyy glad to see some Smash love in here. I love those mains, Captain Falcon was so fun to use with his sweet spot knee move. Lucario was cool to use but I often got caught out when using his recovery move as it had quite a bit of startup lag. Greninja was the best Pokémon for me.
Rush moves are *supposed* to be able to miss, that's not an issue that needs to be fixed. In the old BT games, different rush moves always had different levels of tracking. Some home in insanely well, some have mild amounts of homing, and some just shoot in a straight line with zero tracking. That's all that's happening in Sparking Zero, not every Rush is meant to have 100% perfect tracking. You have to aim and position for them properly just like Ki supers.
I get where you’re coming from sure, there will 100% be different levels of tracking for moves e.g. SSJ4 Gogetas Ultimate Impact (low) vs Kid Buus Mystic Combination (high) But what I was pointing out looks like unintended low levels of tracking. They were standing in close proximity and were aligned fairly well, it should be easy to hit that, regardless of the homing implementation.
That would be tragic but don’t worry I’m pretty sure that won’t be the case. They listed MUI as a whole separate transformation on the site and you can play as all transformations for as long as you want.
Mui goku will he a difforent character , the 4th slot is power down to base. And so far every character has a max of 4 forms (including base) and there are 0 exseptions to this rule ....so far. Its also how it worked in all the old games as well. Goku z end had base,ssj1 ssj3,ssj3. Adult Gohan has base, ssj1 ssj2 and great saiaman. I think the only charactors that had more than 4 forms were the ones that could not transform back down such as freeza having 1st,2ed,3ed,final,and 100% final .
I get your reasoning but Goku back in Z didn’t have more than 4 forms. I looked back on the gameplay and when Goku was in Super Saiyan God form, it didn’t actually let him transform to regular Super Saiyan. It only let him go higher to Blue or go back to Base, so they can still add UI to it. MUI is definitely a transformation based on the website layout, every character that has their saga name in brackets is a transformation/form, separate characters have no sagas, such as Majin Vegeta.
@@VuceFinity I cannot fault your logic either my good sir, I guess I'm just really hoping that we're going to get a separate Goku that starts off in sign and can transform into mui, and maybe just maybe if all of the stars aligned and they get permission to use manga exclusive characters we might even get the Goku susano ki Avatar as a giant character from the morro ark...... but I know I'm chugging the copium on that one🙏😭😂
Don’t worry bro, I welcome all different thoughts to mine it’s really interesting to hear other opinions. Yeah unfortunately it’s like 99% chance there’s no manga characters, the manga publishers are too strict :/ There will be manga moves though! There’s two shown right now in the gameplay, Black Bind and Trunks using Solar Flare, maybe there’s more in the future?

I'm currently half and half about Vegeta and Rage Trunks - I don't mind the way they're being included, but I don't like that the actual transformations were used in the boxart - false advertisement. I am wondering, when do you think we'll see the next trailer? We HAVE to get one this month, right? The game drops October 11th. That's four months from now. Which means they have THREE MONTHS left to drop new trailers. There almost has to be a trailer this month. Assuming they don't double dip, we have three trailers left. There. Are. 90. Characters. Currently. Officially. Revealed. This means 74 characters left. Meaning, if we wanna hit that full reveal of 164 by October, each trailer coming has to contain 24 characters, with an extra thrown in one of them. That is, of course, assuming they don't split them up further; 10 in one, 10 in another, 54 in the final one or something insane like that.
Thanks for the continued support! Yeah I wouldn’t mind as much if their proper forms weren’t shown on the box art like that. Seems a bit lousy to include rage as just SSJ + blue aura around him instead of a proper model. Also the fact that SSBE lasts for just 15 seconds is kinda trash, I get why it’s like that for Kaioken but not SSBE. Especially because SSBE Vegeta could have potentially at least 2 different moves compared to SSB. I’m actually leaning more towards no trailer this month. We got official confirmation last month or the month before saying we’d receive official news about Sparking Zero each month. I’ll treat the SGF Release Date trailer as a separate additional bit of info, especially because only 8 characters were newly added and there was no hexagon roster screen at the end. I wouldn’t consider the demo footage as the “official” bit of news too as it wasn’t uploaded directly by Bandai. But they did actually upload a showcase on the same day as the demo footage dropped, which would definitely count as official news especially as it told us really cool stuff like Story Mode, Custom Battles and Splitscreen. I think on that same week on a Monday, we were told in the weekly VJump broadcast that we’d receive Sparking Zero news soon, which ended up being the showcase. About the maths with the characters now. There’s another case that they could end up not revealing some characters before launch at all, but it’s probably unlikely because for other games in the past they showed everyone first. Usually they do around 10-20 ish character reveals per trailer and we know it’s inconsistent. If they skipped this month because of all this stuff we got, they could split it by 3 across July, August and September. Then there’d be about 2 weeks until the game launches after the July trailer. Or they decide to go berserk and do a split like 10 20 44, showing loads of new characters for the final trailer. There’s also been some semi VJump scan leaks and it pretty much shows nothing new, just some story mode cutscenes. I know that for the last character trailer we got unexpected extra fusions but I really doubt us getting a character trailer with 0 new characters shown in the VJump. It’ll release officially tomorrow so maybe we get more info? The latest we’ll get a trailer anyway would technically be Sunday 30th, but they have a track record of uploading showcases on Thursday or earlier. One week and we’ll know our answers.

Yeah it’s definitely looking like customisation will be a thing, there’s two bits of evidence for it. The screenshot with Early Goku against Raditz and the Power Pole costume changing his moveset.
It's not a big deal Rage being included with Super Saiyan, it's actually very smart. Like what is the actual difference between Trunks (Super) and Trunks (Z)? The most distinct difference is Super Saiyan Rage, and frees up a character slot. It's funny how before, people were complaining on how forms would take up too much space... then the devs make clever decisions to free up slots... and now y'all are complaining on how these forms aren't included... Yes, they are on the cover, and they are included in the game, so that's not a real criticism. Evolved Vegeta is in the game. Rage Trunks is in the game. Sorry for ranting, but it makes me frustrated seeing the devs receive unfair criticism no matter what they do.
They show in the anime Trunks has had a clear power up between Z and Super, where he can even transform to SSJ2 in Super. To not have SSJ2 itself as a separate form is a poor decision IMO, but then to mash Rage and potentially SSJ2 all into Super Saiyan Trunks is disappointing. There’s a common misconception about ‘freeing up slots’ that I’ve seen. At no point, did the devs decide that 164 was the limit and they were forced to fit the entire roster based on that number. The devs looked at all the sagas, decided which characters they wanted in the game and that coincidentally became 164 characters they were satisfied with. If they wanted to, they could’ve done something like 180 at the start, if they felt that they needed to have more characters. So the whole freed slots argument is flawed itself, they could’ve easily added both SSBE and Rage as separate forms if they wanted to at the start, especially as both forms have enough differences in power, appearance and movesets.
@VuceFinity The concept of "freeing up slots" is referencing freeing up development time towards other characters. They could spend more time remaking a unique Trunks (Super) Super Saiyan moveset, or they can be clever with their development time make concessions so they can work on other characters or aspects of the game. Sure 164 is just an arbitrary number, but it's indicative of what the team and/or publishers were able to get done in a reasonable amount of time. It's not really a misconception, just a limitation for the developers under the development time they were alotted.

Yeah I guess that’s a good point with development speed. Though I feel like making new character models wouldn’t take that much time, but I don’t know much about game development tbf. The game has been in development for 5 years so I feel like a lot more time would be allocated to other aspects.
It’s exactly that, power/strength upgrades, appearance upgrades and movesets differences. If this wasn’t a Tenkaichi game I would agree but with Tenkaichi, the essence has always been to include all forms and transformations of characters separately. I’m sure the discourse will settle down closer to launch anyway when we see the entire roster.
Unfortunately that’s not UI Sign. He’s charging into Sparking Mode and is using a Blast 1 technique. Also every transformation has a unique cutscene, there was no cutscene so it’s just a technique of his.
You’re right he doesn’t learn Kaioken until after beating Raditz, but that’s the anime/manga plot. I’m talking about the Tenkaichi game Story mode, the first battle is always Raditz and the moveset includes Kaioken and Spirit Bomb.

They made their own roster based on every Saga and then it came to 164 they wanted to include. I guess it does mean there’s more possibilities for other characters to be included, but this was designed intentionally at the start of the game development.

Yeah there’ll most likely be 164 at base, but I meant that the developers weren’t limited to just 164, they decided on it after looking at all the Dragon Ball Sagas.
