@@Rukabu_Break to be fair, Steve and Joker weren't in liscensing hell like Sora was and is. It was super resonable to believe he'd be unlikely, especially given how stingy square was with Cloud.... and it wasn't even just square nintendo had to go through to get him.

The amount of times we were able to say "(insert name here) got in!" Really shows just how amazing Smash is. Uniting fans from all corners of gaming, from retro platformers to modern rpgs. From old school fighting games to indie legends. Mario vs Sephiroth. Kazuya vs Pikachu. Ganondorf vs fucking Sans. Absolutely nothing will come close to that. Smash-likes that have come out since the end of Ultimate can try, but Sakurai gave us his legacy through these games. Without a doubt, a legendary work of art.
The Sephiroth announcement caused me to relive trauma of FF7 and Kingdom Hearts. That and He's the reason I downloaded Smash Bros Ult in the first place

That day when they announced sora for smash. I have a friend of mine who is not a very big fan of Kingdom hearts. And when he saw the keyblade he got so mad. He threw one of his joycons across the room and said " this is BS. Sore is not even a Nintendo character why is he in smash!" I said "sure Disney kind of Owens him. But mainly he's a square enix character like cloud strife." He looked at me with this really pissed-off look and said "I wanted Ryu Hayabusa in smash. I wanted him not sora!" So ever since sora is in smash. He thinks the game got ruined because sora is in it now. He was pissed

I know it's kinda small by most people's standards, but I'm playing this a tiny bit safe. *Captain Toad* (Super Mario) (costume alt: Toadette): Amount of items in backpack determines whether he's light and nimble, or heavy and tough. *Paper Mario* (Super Mario): Uses bizarre acrobatic moves like Hurlhammer, Paper Plane, and Spring Jump, and paperizes opponents to make them more vulnerable. *King Boo* (Super Mario): Can barrage foes with relentless projectiles, or possess them a bit to throw them off. *[Gen-9 Pokemon]* (Pokemon): ????? *Alear* (Fire Emblem): Could use different Engage Rings to alter his stats and some moves (like, say, Hector for strong close-range combat, Sigurd for cavalry-style mobility, and Celica for a ranged combat buff). *Mona* (WarioWare): Can use her moped to speed around, her remote-control boomerang to fend off foes, and her camera to expose targets' weaknesses. *Noah* (Xenoblade Chronicles): A moveset made not just with his Veiled Sword and Lucky Seven, but the Blades of his five main allies (Twin Moonblades, Gunrod, Spell Tags: Mondo, Shieldblade, Comet Mallet) to add defense and range. *Legionis* (Astral Chain): Can position his Legion to attack foes automatically, leap over to its position, or bind foes in the Astral Chain. The DQ3 Hero's standard name is Arusu. (Amusingly, Eleven DOES upgrade from the Luminary to the Erdrick at the end of DQ11.) - I'll be honest, my immediate reaction upon seeing Byleth himself was to laugh. Really, really hard. Because I knew the apparent stigma that so many Smash fans have against Fire Emblem in general, but I was still interested in seeing Three Houses join. - If you're still wondering, female-Byleth got a tagline because her name is slightly different from male-Byleth's in Japanese (male: Bereto, female: Beresu). - Loved the amount of Advent Children allusions in Sephiroth's trailer. (Though by Smash logic, wouldn't Sephiroth's attempted lunge attack just make Mario bounce away if it hit him? I mean, we just saw Bayonetta and Greninja get swatted back by a slash just before.) - "I never expected to see you two again" refers to XC2's Land of Challenge, where Shulk and Fiora appear as "guest Blades". *_"Whenever people look to you to kill your hype and your hope, you look back and say 'NO', and you keep believing - because sometimes, when you shout out your wishes into the void, the void looks back and smiles."_*

I’ve been a fan of HMK since the paper script and rant days lol and since the beginning of the #SoraForSmash videos. Watching his Sora reveal reaction was so satisfying. I could feel his relief and happiness through the screen
This was a great movie, one of the best reactions IMO. Loud Raw Emotion xD and even tears at the end when you got the character you always wanted. Such a masterpiece, Rip Ridley though fuck.

I can't wait to watch his reactions to the inevitable Smash Ultimate Deluxe newcomers, I'm calling new Pokemon Starter, New Fire Emblem Hero, Fortnite Jonesy, and at least season pass 3 to 4. Perhaps they can even call the story mode, World of Light: Final Remix.
veteran n64 smash bro player here. When I heard the super smash ultimate was revealed i was not interested in. It was summer june 2018 when i just completed Persona 5. I remembered i was getting ready for work when my friend who I recommended to play Persona 5 sent me a link and said “dude check this out, i think you will like this” bruh I ended up buying a Nintendo Switch with Super Smash Bro Ultimate due to Joker. I was also excited to see banjo and kazooie. I doubted we were getting Jet force Gemini too.
What a journey it has been, what a journey. Definitely my top 3 favorites have been Sora, Sephiroth, and Banjo, along with Hero! Had to put my volume so low, LOL, but I love your super hyped reactions HMK, how's your voice nowadays, LOL! 😁😁😁 I don't know how Nintendo will top Smash Ultimate... because it can't be topped LOL! 🤣🤣
