@@AristonSparta but if she indeed didn't really die, why didn't she show up later on in the game as another obstacle? I mean you would figure stumbling into her at the inquisitor fortress.. Do you think she is ashamed of losing or perhaps Darth Vader would kill her for failure? It's possible she is really dead, we just didn't get to see Darth Vader end her
@Harrison Norrie The Grand Inquisitor is technically the First Brother, the names are interchangeable as he is the same person But even then the ones we don't see from what I know are dead
Ultra Instinct Gru kenobi series is stated by Ewan McGregor to be set 8 years after episode 3 whilst the show rebel’s Introduced numerous inquixators, whilst the show was set 5 years before episode 4, meaning that the possibility of seeing more inquizators is likely
@@dovahfett5919 Also considering Palpatine wouldn't want there to be too many. The Inquisitors aren't full Sith, but they practice the way of the dark side, and having hundreds/thousands of dark side users under your control is just repeating the mistake of the original Sith Empire and makes the rule of 2 pointless, even if they aren't "really" Sith or possess the knowledge that Palps and Vader do. A group of 20 or so is manageable and can be a good tool so the real Sith can focus on more important things. Any more than that and it starts to become a threat. Shit, any one of them could become a threat if they got too powerful (Just look at Maul and all the resources Palpatine was willing to use just to tie that up), which is why he had Vader strictly monitor them.
Dovah Fett I could see some of those force sensitive children Sidious had being trained over the years into Inquisitors too. Second Sister only lasted 5 years. It makes sense early on that the Inquisitors were all former Jedi but 20 years on not so much. Though ofc in theory they became less and less relevant over time and so their numbers diminishing wouldn’t be too big a deal.
I just want a backstory for them. Or at least some of them. That would be an awesome comic book series. I really want to know the backstory of Masana Tide.
Cobra we already know that. I’m saying that I want to know more about their backstories and how they were turned to the dark side. And she was most likely a knight.
Gotham Savior They were tortured until they turned to the dark side like we saw in the game or I guess willingly turned. And I doubt she was a knight she is to weak
Cobra dude I know. I’m saying I want to see how it happened for each one. Like you said some were tortured, some were probably manipulated into it, some were seduced by the dark side, and some willingly did it. And some knights were weaker than others. A powerful padawan that’s gifted in the force could defeat some knights.
I really like the idea of the Inquisitors. It allows for more stories involving dark side wielders during the Dark Times without having to directly involve Vader.
Funny, that’s exactly why I *don’t* like the idea of them. I think it adds to Vader’s reputation if he is basically the sole Jedi hunter, making him seem like this impossible force of nature.
@@shallows529 Having the most interesting character be the villain is almost an attribute of Star Wars. Darth Vader in the Original Trilogy*, Sheev Palpatine in Prequel Trilogy, and - while he pales in comparison to the two previously mentioned - Kylo Ren is the most interesting character in the Sequel Trilogy. *While Palpatine was the ultimate villain in the OT, Vader was the more present threat, and therefore the focus is on him. First example that comes to mind is from Far Cry 3, where whats-his-face was the "real" villain of the game, but people only ever talk about Vaas Montenegro.
I’d love to see surviving Inquisitor’s that we’re either abandoned by the empire or thought to be dead and now are out in the outer rim just going nuts with their force abilities. They don’t have Darth Vader breathing down their necks ( as much ) making sure they don’t become to powerful enough to be a treat so they could try to find ways to expand and experiment with their force ability’s. I’d like to see a villain who was a fallen Jedi that failed their inquisitor training and escaped before they we’re killed since people who failed their training to be inquisitors would be killed off and in their freedom spent their time training their force ability’s to becoming more much powerful.
Like the average Jedi the Inquisitors were not the most powerful force users. Against average Jedi they stood a chance, but seemed to need multiple members or Stormtrooper backup to succeed.
I don't think vader/palpatine would actually have tried to train them properly- even if they had the potential, I'm sure Palpatine at least knows the full reasoning behind the rule of 2, given he did the classic 'betray and kill your master' move that was so much of a problem for the Sith empire. Both of them wanted to team up with Luke to kill the other one after all- I suspect a requirement for being an inquisitor was 'force sensitive, but not particularly strong', or Vader would just have killed them outright. Those with enough force sensitivity to be vulnerable to the corrupting influence of the force (either light or dark- the force likes making people into extremes), but who the jedi only selected due to their paranoia over dark-side force users, rather than any real potential (remembering that they are the ones using the name 'sith', the name of an extinct people subject to xenocide millenia ago, to refer to anyone who might be a little emotional as a teenager).
Has anyone else noticed there’s a bit of a pattern with the names? There is never an instance where we have three of the same sex back to back to back. The roster is as follows: male, female, unknown, female, male, male, female, male, female, male. Even the confirmed roster has a pattern with going back and forth between male and female except for the fifth and sixth brothers, The ones directly in the middle of the list. Looking at the different halves, it’s inverted. Say the third inquisitor is a male, the list would then be: male, female, male, female. The fifth and sixth brothers in the middle. Then: female, male, female, male. This is putting the grand inquisitor in place of the first slot. The unnamed inquisitors muddy the water a bit. I think it’s definitely safe to say the third position is held by a male.
I'm not sure it's that calculated. I have a feeling they just didn't want to deal with the alliteration of Sixth Sister. (Seventh Sister is technically alliterative, but the sounds to start the words are different.)
@@Playhouse76 Second sister is also alliterative, so the point is kind of moot. I find the pattern undeniable. I noticed it years ago, and every revealed inquisitor has fallen into place.
@geMinimaGnetarbOlide i’m laughing at this comment. If only you could see my girlfriend. You won’t believe me of course, so I’ll just stay here laughing.
Obi Wan Kenobi Yoda Taron Malicos (fell to dark side) all the Inquisitors (fell to dark side) Kanan Jarrus Quinlan Vos (implied by the Empire and Luke to have survived) Yaddle, Oppo Rancisis, and Coleman Kcaj (thought by Empire to have lived) Ahsoka Tano (left the order) Cal Kestis Cere Junda Ezra Bridger (joined after Order 66) There are some Jedi who survived Order 66, but most of them were cleaned up with the following purge (Kirak Infil'a and Ferren Barr being good examples)
Agreed. Havent played the game yet. Knew about the Inquisitor in it. Didnt feel like finding how out the bog reveal yet. Spoileralert would've been nice indeed.
@@Bryan-dr5qy I had no idea it would reveal an important plotline for a game. It could've mentioned that. "Spoilers ahead for the game, books and comic". It's not so hard.
@@kevinheller5414 I mean if the video already has a thumbnail of characters in the game it would be bedt to shy away from it. If he posted Second Sister's true identity as the thumbnail then I would agree with you
I really like that the stuff like the Inquisitors and troop transports have been absorbed into canon from Rebels. Like they show up in games and shows, which I think is cool, kind of like what the clone wars did for the prequels. I'm curious what they'll do to add to the sequel era.
My favorites are the Grand Inquisitor and the Seventh Sister. Seventh Sister is kind of an underrated bada*s as far as Inquisitors go. Not just for the snark, but because she was a pretty top tier duelist where Inquisitors are concerned. She basically held her own against a full grown (Vader comparable) Ashoka Tano for the better part of a couple minutes, while her partner (the Fifth Brother) got instantly thrown back twice, getting KOd with ease, and contributed basically nothing to the fight. Seventh was impressively stronger. No wonder she had ambitions to become the new Grand Inquisitor... She was probably the best one left. Also, gotta love the spider like reflexes and the small army of seeker droids.
Galen Marik was planned to be an inquisitor in rebels but was ultimately cut as he didn’t have a place in the show. I hope they still use the concept to bring him back into canon. Even if he isn’t as overpowered as he was in the game, still having him be an inquisitor and then switch to the light side in an attempt to stop Vader and Palpantine would still be really awesome.
I’m running an Edge of the Empire game, and I’ve included an Inquisitor as a recurring enemy and might have them encounter another one. It’s a great way to have enemy Force/lightsaber users in a game without having a fight against Darth Vader.
The Seventh Sister had the worst death out of the inquisitors, imagine being force choked and lifted into the air leaving you completely helpless and unable to defend yourself as someone throws their lightsaber directly towards you. her screams were literally filled with genuine fear and horror.
Does anyone know if this video contains spoilers for Fallen Order? I'm only like a third of the way through the game and I don't want to see anything about the ending
I actually looked up the inquisitor with the saber pike. It turns out that she infact still alive but abandoned at the rebel base. She turned it into her home and made a new saber. She found a young child and took her in. It turns out that she had a little compation for the other inquisitor so she uses it to help this girl. ( yes the girl is forced sesitive so they became bounty hunters)
We technically got a new inquisitor In star wars visions during t0-B1 episode altho I'm sure if we should count it as Cannon until it appears again in future stories
More Gideon might be one, Has similar gear/clothing, has command over troopers, special tie fighter. And is in possession of a light saber (the dark saber)
Rowan plays following the naming pattern, there is never a list of three of the same sex. yes, I think there’s a pattern. Male, female, unknown, female, male, male, female, male, female, male. Would have to be the third brother, I’m guessing the black skin twilek.
@@baconacorn473 I take freemaker adventures as pseudo canon. Meaning not every ridiculous Lego-like antic happened , but major plot elements like the kyber saber and the characters exist. So at some point I believe palpatine trained a Naare and built M-OC (makes sense with it being the humanoid form of BT-1 they both have the ridiculous arsenal of weapons inside them so Its plausible )
The grand Inquisitor looks cool in his mask, also, his battle skills are amazing. Trilla's helmet is very cool! Tho, she was a bit easy for me..... Fourth sister's uniform and weapon is cool tho Fifth brother is kinda strong.....still, he was a bit cool Sixth brother was the worst Inquisitor for me....Because for his armour and battle skills Seventh brother is.......the hardest Inquisitor in my opinion Eighth brother was cool too, he should have escaped kanan's attack He is a female? He was not that cool, if he had that type of armour
I wondered why there were no more Inquisitors hunting Kanan and Ezra. Did Vader thought those two died in the Malachor explosion? I think that the threat of Thrawn was more than enough for Palpatine or Vader to not send out any more Inquisitors. Thrawn’s strategies would not only be enough to hunt the Jedi, but also the rebel cells that the Empire needed to destroy.
With all the falls before 66, it sorta feels like it weakens the rule of two (especially if they were getting sorta picked up before the order was issued)
fair warning to anyone there's a bunch of spoilers in this video, Star Wars Jedi: fallen order is still rather new game so be wary there are spoilers about it
The Inquisitors probably number in the 100s but operate in cells of 12, according to areas of operation throughout the galaxy where force sensitives/force users are located. Vader probably goes through Inquisitors like Jabba goes through strippers and tissue paper... Just saying...
I suspect the numbering system is according to when they joined the Inquisitorious, starting with the final number and counting down each time someone worthy of joining was recruited. Making the Tenth Brother the first to join (aside from the Grand Inquisitor), and the Second Sister likely the last to join.
I'm curious about that assassin in the latest episode of the Mandalorian episode 5. It looked like she was wearing a inquisitor helmet. I'm guessing she either killed one or found the body of one.
Ruminating Reptilian so the 3rd brother is a force shadow who was once a Jedi in the clone wars but after order 66 he was captured and torutured and became the 3rd brother and he was almost powerful as the grand inquistor he has red eyes a double blade lightsaber and shoulder pads with spikes on them to ram his enemies to death with a helmet the same as the 9th sister and his real name is Usana Verge
