I think the coaches told him to try to stay in the pocket and not run. He still hit 65% of his passes with a few drops.

If on an "off day" he throws for over 300 yards, idk, I'm kinda ok with it

Did you watch the video at all??? Were multiple he read more than guy and there was also touch on plenty of his throws.

Start from the beginning again and watch his head, each play. On the first play alone he clearly makes three reads before smartly tucking it and running for 3 yards. I agree his accuracy isn't the best. I'm a Bears fan and therefore watch a lot of these "vs" videos each year. If you want to watch a QB who can't go through more than one read, watch the "Caleb Williams vs" videos. He consistently stares down his 1st receiver and is FAR too slow making other reads. Issues that rarely get corrected. Williams is nearly an exact replica of Fields - only shorter and with slightly less athleticism.
