My Personal ranking is: 1: Part 7 2: Part 6 3: Part 4 4: Part 5 5: Part 2 6: Part 8 7: Part 3 8: Part 1 For me personally the villian is one of the most important figures in a work of fiction. They are what the protagonist has to fear and learn to overcome. They present the great climax of the story. I absolutely love Valentine, he is just a well written character who seems almost noble to the outside but is truely evil when in private. Kira is also a great (and my personal favorite) because I find his motivation (besides the whole murder and hand fetish thing) extremely relatable. I too live in a small town where I was born and I do not want to leave. I also have no super high living standarts. I enjoy just going to work and enjoying my free time afterwards. And I am also pretty introverted and like being alone. And Pucci is also one of my favorites because he is so much more than a DIO minion. Pucci has the most presence throughout the entirety of Stone Ocean and often clashes pretty directly with the protagonists. Also each Pucci fight is some of the best JoJo has to offer. Whitesnake Pucci vs. Jolyne shows that Jolyne can win through force, but pucci buts her in a dilemma to escape. The villians stand being weaker in a fair 1v1 than the protagonists stand is unusual for JoJo in the middle of the part. Later in Whitesnake Pucci vs. Weather and Anasui he wins by not doing a fair 1v1 but using his knowledge of the past to set a trap. With C-moon pucci we get a stand that is now more powerful in physical strengh than the protagonists, however it is still no match for Jotaro. And made in heaven Pucci is the overwheliming power almost on the level of GER, just on the villian side (and it feels more earned because Pucci had to do a long ass ritual to evolve his stand).
@@iijason1245 I personally agree. Part 2 is my second favourite part so far. Have not read part 7-8. Honestly find the Hamon era underrated and only part 4 and 6 for me are good when it comes to stand era. Part 5 was average with alot of bullshit to drag out the fights and part 3 is just boring filler trash to me.
I love jojo and every part is some of my favorite animanga 7 Johnny and Valentine make my day 6 I love the ending and the characters 3 I love the dynamics between the heros 4 I love the slice of life and how I can connect since I'm a teen myself 2 Very meemable and Joseph is Awesome 8 I haven't seen it so that's why it's so low 5 I love the dynamic between the cast and the villains are better but I didn't like how Diavolo (my second fav villain) was barely put in 1 I love part 1 Jonothan was my fav jojo for so long and yes even beating Giorno and a couple others just because he's so simple but yet so lovable (and speedwagon best waifu)
love the video im a strict anime only watcher so these are my rankings (haven't seen part 7 and 8 yet and still half way throught part 6) 1. JOJO PART 4 2. JOJO PART 2 3. JOJO PART 5 4. JOJO PART 6 5. JOJO PART 3 6. JOJO PART 1 you got it alright at part 4 that part was just simply amazing still cant get use to watching the ending after rewatching it so many times you pretty much nailed it down on why i didnt paticularly enjoy part 3 to filler fights but some where highlight but some where just what
My ranking is Part 7 Part 5 Part 4 Part 6 Part 3 Part 2 Part 1 I’m not ranking Part 8 bc i haven’t finished it yet but I’m almost half way through the part. I skipped the part in the video where you talked about part 8. Ik it’s controversial to have part 3 above part 2 and in terms of writing part 2 is better but for me part 3 was really fun and hilarious to me and when I first watched it i remember enjoying it more than part 2. Plus it’s also just a road trip with the bois and you can’t go wrong with that. That’s the main reason why part 5 is so high for me bc it’s literally a better written part 3 like you said.
Watching this did made me consider where I myself would put them all and helped to reflect on just how much I enjoyed essentially every part in a different or recurring way. After thinking about it however, I think I’ve come up with my list, from worst/least favourite to favourite it goes. 8: Phantom Blood (It’s simple and barely finding its footing with Jonathan, though bland being one of the best bits for me, Dio being the best.) 7: Battle tendency (It’s good but I never got attached to Joseph like others did and didn’t care much for the pillar men, if it wasn’t for the interesting fights it’d be bellow Battle Tendency) 6: Stone ocean (The concept and the execution of this story is really well done, that front a testimony to how good every part is below this in the ranking, I just didn’t connect nearly as much to the crew around Jolyne like I did with other Jobro’s.) 5: Diamond is unbreakable ( The quaint little town being turned into one of horror and tragedy coupled in with some more light hearted episodes and fun characters make for an excellent part, but I felt that several characters were under utilised as the biggest stand outs are Rohan, Josuke, Kira, Koichi and Hiato. The others have their moments then don’t do much besides goofing off, cameos or rarely one off adventures.) 4: JoJolion (It’s position here is due to 3 main reasons. The first, is the romance aspect. It’s quick, it’s brief and it’s adorable. The second is Wonder of U. An absolutely horrifyingly intimidating stand with its only downside being the user. Number 1 is Josuke. He is possibly my favourite JoJo, only challenged by Jotaro. He made this part for me, without a doubt the main reason it’s so high.) 3: Golden wind (The reason for golden wind being here is because it is a phenomenal tale of Giorno rising up and I loved watching it, but it stays below the other two because I felt that getting rid of Fugo was a bad idea, along with the fact some of Giorno’s abilities from the beginning were simply put to the side later on it seemed e.g his creations reflecting blows and the overcharged consciousness, though I do want to say I don’t find Giorno as bland as others say he is. 2: Stardust Crusaders (The reason such an early part is so high up is because of the crew. Yes, Avdol was under-utilised when it came to combat, however he was there to help with culture, funny jokes and simply being there for his friends, ignoring the time he was injured. They just feel so connected in a way other parts have struggled to replicate. Not saying none have, it’s just rare. Plus, it has Dio, a villain I personally adore and wouldn’t mind him being linked with the Joestars, essentially forever. If they’re fated to fight in such massive battles, I’d be okay with him being fated to face them. 1: Steel Ball Run (I don’t need to explain steel ball run right? I mean, it has Gyro. My only complaint -Massive spoiler ahead just so you know!!!!!!!!!!- Is that Gyro dies. I would have loved to see the tradition/curse of a Zeppeli being broken by gyro and the new universe. That said, having Johnny take his body back was such a sweet ending, though I do wish Diego had lived. Sorry for the large comment, just wanted to get my thoughts out after being inspired by the video.
My List: 1. Steel Ball Run 2. Battle Tendency (controversial but it was a very fun part to watch and read. Joseph is by far the best jojo). 3. Golden Wind 4. Jojolion 5. Diamond Is Unbreakable 6. Stardust Crusaders 7. Stone Ocean 8. Phantom Blood Note: I haven't read Jojolands yet, but from what I have heard, its great so far.
1: 7 (Obviously) 10/10 2: 5 (Amazing characters and fights, Giorno is such a great Jojo) 9/10 3: 2 (Joseph and Kars) 9/10 4: 8 (Josuke, Jobin, great start) 9/10 5: 6 (Jolyne is a badass, Pucci and weather are insanely cool and have a great backstory) 9/10 6: 4 (Jotaro and Kira were awesome) 8/10 at least 7: 3 (Super cool character, great fights, amazing final battle) 8/10 8: 1 (come on you guys, it’s not that bad) at least 6/10
In terms of the original universe, as i have yet to catch up with the manga, this would be my list. Disclaimer, it's been forever since I've seen Parts 4&5, so it could be inaccurate, I'll update when I am caught up. 6. Phantom Blood - 7/10 Even JoJo at its worst is a B Tier. (Jonathan is not the most complex but as a hero he gets the job done. Also it's Dio's origin so we have to give props to that. Oh yeah and Speedwagon) 5. Battle Tendency - 7.7/10 ( Still a B Tier, im not as heads over heel in love with it, but the characters and fights for the most part are a definite improvement over Part 1) 4. Diamond is Unbreakable - 8/10 (look i just like the other parts more, and again its been forever so maybe I'll rate it higher, it's still an A tier for crying out loud) 3. Vento Aureo - 8.4/10 (Technically, a better version of Part 3, it's definitely more consistent, but even though Giorno is more interesting than what people give him credit for, he's not really the most proactive other than the start and end. Maybe im wrong, I'll read the manga to re-experience it) 2. Stardust Crusders - 8.6/10, though if we're talking anime wise, season 1 is a 7.3 season 2 is a 9.2 S tier. (The first half is certainly better in the manga but that second half is amazing either way) (while i prefer Jolyne as my favorite protaganist for their own part, Jotaro is my favorite character period. I love DIO so much as a villain, the crusaders have a fun dynamic, i love the fights, and the second half is some of the best in the series) 1 Stone Ocean - 9.4/10 (I'll always say 10/10 doesnt exist.. this is close for me, literally every character works, EVERY character. Jolyne is the best JoJo in terms of being a protagnist. Pucci is an awesome villain. The stands are some of the weirdest and most unique, some of my favorites. And THAT ENDING, what a way to end the series because lets be honest Steel Ball Run and JoJolion are their own thing, their own continuity.) So yeah I'll update this eventually.
1. SBR 2. (Tie) Golden Wind and DIU 3. Stardust Crusaders 4. Battle Tendency 5. Stone Ocean 6. Phantom Blood Just finished part 7 so haven’t read JoJolion but want to
I feel like the reason hamon isn't as impressive in part 1 is because maybe Araki was holding back on some of this ideas for it because if he used them all in part 1, maybe he wouldn't have been as creative with it as he was in BT.
Great list. I'd put part 4 at one instead and part 3 at last. Part 3 has no rewatch value for me and is a pain to slog through again. First time watch i enjoyed it more then 1 but nowadays just not my thing. That's about all though I'd change imo. Great list
You should definitely have more subs and views dude, here’s my ranking! (Haven’t read part 8 yet) 1. Part 7 2. Part 4 3. Part 5 4. Part 6 5. Part 2 6. Part 3 7. Part 1
1-Golden wind. 2-Battle tendency (biased as fuck because Joseph is my favourite shounen main character) 3-Stone ocean (the ending is a 10/10, but it has its flaws) 4-Diamond is unbreakable (really fun, but has slow moments, and a bit too slice-of-lifey for my likings) 5-Stardust Crusaders(loved the crusaders, Polnareff best boy, felt a bit repetitive thou; the last fight is 10/10 memes, but kinda dumb and anticlimatic) 6-Phantom blood, I put it down here cause this is the only part I did not enjoy, and I would give it a 4/10 overall. Loved the rest. And yeah, I didn't read the manga cause I don't like reading, but I plan on catching up on the last parts, cause that's how much I love jojo.
Here's my list: 1) Stardust Crusaders 2) Diamond is Unbreakable 3) Golden Wind 4) Battle Tendency 5) Phantom Blood (I'm currently watching Stone Ocean)
@@Kuro4 Part 3 is the best in my opinion isn't cause of Jotaro or Dio, But rather cause of the atmosphere and the soundtracks. the artstyle is also my favorite besides Golden Wind and the fact Part 3 takes place in multiple countries.
*#1* Stardust Crusiders *#2* Steel Ball Run *#3* Golden Wind/Battle Tendency 4. Diamond is unbreakable 5. Phantom Blood 6. Stone Ocean I didn't read JoJolion
*PS*:I just wana explain my list. So... Stardust Crusiders are boring but second half with Jotaro vs Dio,Vanila Ice,D'Arbie, it's just Make it above others, and vibe Stardust Crusiders give fixes boring stands and fights from first half.
I am of the opinion that you don't have to read parts 1-6 to read part 7. It stands by itself. Does it help to understand what stands are before reading? Yes. Should it be your first part? No, but man I can understand people not wanting to get into Jojo's because of starting with Part 1. It is easily the worst part and is heavily dated as a manga.
Personal list: 1. 7 2. 4 3. 5 4. 6 5. 8 6. 2 7. 3 8. 1 I want to say that personally I really like the part 1 anime in retrospect, I used to hate part 1 especially when I just started the show, but now I've come to love it, and the only reason it's below 3 is because objectively 3 is better, even if I might like 1 ever so slightly more. Also I fucking love jojo vampires and I kinda sorta wish they stuck around more because imagine more vampire stand users? Imagine if Diavolo was a vampire and that's why he was such a recluse? I'm not saying that would have been better than what we got (it absolutely would not have been) but it would've been cool and a neat callback. 3 is still good, but I 100% agree with what you said in the video. I just felt like the pacing and tone of the show was really weird and off considering this is the first part with stands and the whole villain of the week structure. I just feel like a lot of what part 3 did, other parts just did better or differently in a way I thought was more unique. I think part 8 would have solidly been number 2 if not for the very end being the most confusing and contrived thing in the series. Don't get me wrong, I loved the calamity arc, but the actual conclusion left a bad taste in my mouth. The rest of jojolion tho might be peak jojo for me. I feel like the rest of the placements kind of make sense from there but yeah that's just my opinion.
Cool list! Although I guess that’s cause ours are almost the same. What made Golden Wind stand out so much to you? Would also like to clarify that I really love the part 1 anime as well, and pretty much everything about these adaptations is amazing. Just had to put it at the bottom cause it is quite basic compared to other parts, even if I can definitely enjoy it.
@@Kuro4 I'd say the thing that put golden wind so high up for me was the pacing, tone, and characters. Every villain without fail in part 5 brought something new to the table and had a really great and interesting fight, as well as la squadra easily being the best villain team in jojo for me. As for the characters, I loved the main characters including Giorno and I do think that while he doesn't really change at all during the series, he acts as a perfect driving force to incite the other characters around him to change, like Bucciarati. I also just love how dynamic the fights were and how heavy the theme of the part came through, and I found the ending to be satisfying, while not perfect. My biggest issue is how poorly used Fugo and Trish were, because I feel like they were handled really badly and were super cool characters. Also as an artist and massive art nerd, the part 5 anime is my favorite one visually so far, and the colors fit perfectly with the style. Also I totally agree that part 1 is just very basic and linear. I'm not fully sure why, but as someone who hates rewatching shows, i find part 1 really fun and easy to rewatch, maybe due to its simplicity. I feel like that says more about me tho lol
@@mbot1901 love your take on Part 5 - I just finished re-watching the anime and it blows me away every time. Although I think you’re definitely right that Fugo and Trish were under-used, I do think most of the characters were well done
@@Kuro4 Thank you! I feel like most people know about how Fugo was supposed to be a traitor but Araki just wasn't in the right headspace to write that type of character and wrote him out of the story instead, which I totally understand, but from a fans perspective it just kinda sucks. Also I just want to know who's your favorite character in all of jojo period?
@@mbot1901 my favourite’s definitely Johnny Joestar, and he’s one of my favourite characters in all of fiction. I have soft spot for Bucciarati too though
@@cantstresssthiss4565 I definitely understand that - the stands were amazing and it’s cool how we were still unravelling new mysteries until the last chapter
Haven't read pt 8, but here's the rest for me 7. Pt 1. It's kinda bad 6. Pt. 3 Still bad, but has more redeeming qualities. 5. Pt 2. Great but could have been so much more, amd hamon is underdevelloped. 4. Pt. 5. Second best last leg of the story of ant part, but also second worst Jojo. 3. Pt 6. Pucci i feel is the second most overrated villain of them all. He shares the flaws of Giorno. Some of the side characters like Hermes are underwhelming. Best Jojo tho. I liked the prison parts more then the rest. 2. Pt 4. Best villain by far, some of the best and most underrated fights (like superfly). Not a big fan of Josule, but Kira overshadows all the flaws of the part. 1. Pt 7, but it's not perfect like the community seems to believe. Johnny is only great as part of the duo with Gyro, on his own he is far from being the best Jojo, and Valentine is very overrated. Great design, amazing stand and an okay perdonality, but he should have recieved the Kira treatment (seeing him struggle as a main characters for a couple of arcs that is), and he should have been more noble and actually be a character with grey morals. As he is, he is evil and his noble patriotism is actually just noble in name. But the setting/story, the battles, the side characters elevate this part to it's position ad the greatest jojo part.
I personally love part 1 as it grew on me heavily overtime (truthfully I put it over part 4, and possibly part 3), but I do understand why people think it’s boring. I also think the best Part would be a dead way tie between 7, 6, and 2 as I struggle to find any flaws with any of them. (minus the ending to part 6)
I mean, its just too much of a clichee and too flat, Jonathan, too pure, dio, too evil, and anyother character kinda feels, lacking, most of the side characters just, arent memorable, thats why id say people dont like it
Nice list, i would rank them like this: 1. Steel Ball Run 2. Stone Ocean 3. Jojolion 4. Diamond is Unbreakable 5. Battle Tendency 6. Stardust Crusaders 7. Golden Wind 8. Phantom Blood
My ranking would be Steel Ball Run, Diamond is Unbreakable, Golden Wind, Stone Ocean, Jojolion, Stardust Crusaders, Battle Tendency, and then Phantom Blood. SBR is undoubtedly the best with my personal favorite Jojo. DIU has the best villain, setting, and characters. Golden Wind has the best themes, fights, and stands. Although the ending is not great imo. Stone Ocean has a few fights that fall flat and character motivations are questionable, but has some great ones and some very interesting plot points. Jojolion has a great first half with the story of discovery with Josuke, but the rock humans, fruit, and Tooru stuff really sucks imo. And I think it has the worst stands and some of the worst fights, while also having some bizarre fights and arcs that were peak Jojo. Stardust Crusaders is a fun journey with a solid cast, but does have some pacing issues. It's fixed a lot in the manga though. Battle Tendency and Phantom Blood are great, but they don't have as much substance as other parts. This is my list after watching every part and reading all the parts, even the ones I watched.
my ranking would be: 1. Steel Ball Run 2. Jojolion 3. Stone Ocean 4. Diamond is Unbreakable 5. Golden Wind 6. Phantom Blood 7. Stardust Crusaders 8. Battle Tendency
Rewatching with friends 8 phantom 7 steel (haven’t read) 6 part 8 ( reading after 7) 5 battle tendency 4stardust 3 diamond 2 stone ocean ( I love the anime adaptation fight me) 1 golden wind
@@positiveband9645 ok 1 that part of the list wasn’t right cause ya know. Couldn’t rate it. But honestly… steel hall run bellow stone ocean. It’s really good but once anime comes I think it will be number 1. This is mostly off of anime. Still each one is amazing in its own right even with all the flaws
My favs: S Tier 1 Golden Wind 2 Steel Ball Run A+ tier 3 Stone Ocean 4 Jojolion A tier 5 Diamond is unbreakable 6 Stardust Crusaders B tier 7 Battle Tendency 8 Phantom Blood.
@@Silver-Ball_Z i like part 4 cuz its jus an enjoyable experience all the way just not top tier. Part 5 was just kinda annoying and i didn't really mind it until the ending which i really disliked it just wasn't good at all imo i don't like diavolo at all. Part 6 i thought was pretty good it did nothing really wrong imo it was never boring.
Shotgun list: 1. Part 4 2. Part 5 3. Part 7 4. Part 2 5. Part 6 6. Part 8 7. Part 3 8. Part 1 Big gap between part 8 and part 3/part 1, still enjoyed parts 3 & 1 tho
Manga Ranking Obviously... 1. Steel Ball Run(Pt7) 2. Diamond is Unbreakable(Pt4) 3. Jojolion(Pt8) 4. Battle Tendency(Pt2) 5. Stardust Crusaders(Pt3) 6. Vento Aureo(Pt5) 7. Phantom Blood(Pt1) 8. Stone Ocean(Pt6) Honestly Don't Know How Stone Ocean is so high for people. It was vastly considered the worse part in 2016 it seemed.
@@javiermedina9392 I mean I haven't seen the anime, but I'm sure it can't make it so trendy where people now rate it high. It was normally considered the weakest due to Joylne being the weakest protagonist, Pucci having insane plot armor, and also how DIOs kids were handled. I enjoy all parts, but I think Stone Ocean is just the weakest and I haven't seen or heard much love for it till the anime. Again haven't seen it and I am slow to watch anime as I just prefer reading, still on Part 4 lol, but hope Part 6 wins me over.
@@javiermedina9392 I'm glad you enjoy Part 6 and I always want more JoJos fans, but idk I just am conflicted about where the Part 6 love came out of nowhere.
@@DirtyMonkeyIndeed Part 6 was never really hated. Many people would either speedread it to get to Part 7 or didn't apply enough reading comprehension to understand some of its more intricate details. Not to mention it is sandwiched between two very well-made parts (that being parts 5 and 7). There were always many Stone Ocean fans too, they were just smothered by the vocal minority of haters. If you look to MAL (which isn't the end-all best site for ani/manga, but, it has the hugest fanbase), Part 6 is the fourth-highest part. With only Parts 7, 8, and 4 being above it.
I respect your opinion about part 6. For me it's considerably lower, trying to list my subjective reasons. I don't try to change anyone's mind, just trying to justify why it is considered relatively low-tier by some people, like me. 1. Pucci. I have two problems with him. Introducing Dio made him a pawn rather than an actual main villain. I understand that priests follow God and a misguided priest might follow a false God but for me, it took away so much from the character. Instead of a visionary genius I kinda saw a blind enforcer of a guy's wisdom and we know well that said guy is a jackass. My other problem is regarding the heaven plan. For me it lacked elaboration. Universe resets, we'll unconsciously remember our fate so we will find peace. Why? I'd have expected a reasoning here. Personally, the fact that I deep-down know that I die in a car accident at the age of 30 would just make me depressed. I'd really wished an Araki-like explanation here about why the heaven plan works instead of going by 'it will cause mental peace because I said so'. All in all, Pucci became a blind follower of an ungrounded idea instead of a visionary genius he could have been. At least, to me. 2. The way Araki sometimes handles women. I am not an sjw by all means but if you compare how Araki treated Jotaro to how he treated Jolyne, it's extreme. The first episodes felt like a horny fanfic with the masturbation scene, Jolyne showing her @rsehole to the guards etc. No dignity was shown towards the main character. Drink a cup of whiskey every time someone hides something inside their tits. 3. Side characters. I absolutely loved FF but had issues with some others. Anasui's whole personality was being a simp, Dio's sons were a disappointment in my eyes. Jotaro was nerfed too much (with Star Platinum's speed he should have defeated Pucci in the beginning). 4. Other, random thoughts. Feng Shui boi was very annoying. Jolyne usually felt like a passive protagonist, rushing after the plot, not really initiating anything. She almost felt like a plot device character while being the protagonist. Still enjoyed it but my ranking goes like this: 1
My ranking: 3 2 1 4 7 5 6 Art takes a nosedive after part 3 and keeps getting worse and worse. The series also largely loses its sense of fun after part 4. 5 and 6 are both bland and forgettable with little emotion and generic characters. Araki dives deep into the weeds of stand battles and it gets obsessively nerdy. The earlier parts are better paced and more balanced.
My list is actually really similar to yours 9. Jojolands (idk 2 chapters out at the moment but looks interesting) 8. Phantom Blood 7. Stardust Crusaders 6. Stone Ocean 5. Golden Wind 4. Battle Tendency 3. Jojolion 2. Diamond is Unbreakable 1. Steel Ball Run (dont need to explain what Million other Persons explained)
My list so far ( I just started Jojolion) 1. Steel Ball Run 2. Diamond is unbreakable 3. Golden Wind 4. Battle tendency 5. Stone Ocean 6. Stardust 7. Phantom blood
So glad to see part 6 getting some love. It’s super underrated pointing out its positives is rare to see. Also definitely re read part 8 it’s something special and a top 2 part imo.
@@otakugamer2677 I know what you mean I agree it was good. But In part 4 almost every episode was really interesting because you saw how stand users live regular lives and it felt like I finished it too fast. But part 6 had really boring fights in the middle and the prison setting got old fast, not to mention the monster of the week formula that it made it hard to binge watch without feeling drained. But part 6 had some trippy stands which eased the pain.that’s just my opinion.
My list 1.Jojolion 2.Steel ball run 3.Golden Wind 4.Diamond is Unbreakable 5.Stone ocean 6.Battle Tendency 7.Stardust Crusaders 8.Phantom Blood Jojo is the best series i ever read/watched.My fav piece of fiction ever tho Exited for Jojolands
It’s sad that ppl think Giorno is bland considering his character compares the same upbringing as Dio with a minor change altering major points in his life. It’s this motivation which allows him to really grow up with his stand and know all its capabilities whilst giving him perfect motivation against drugs while still supporting the mafia. I’m fact all members in part 5 have great backstories that imo make them the best all round group.
I completely understand & respect your list. And I do kinda agree with the Part 1 flaws as it can be underwhelming altogether, but I just love the simplicity. I also love Jonathan as a character. In a confusing modern world, it’s nice to have a typical buff Christian man with traditional values as a main character. I wouldn’t put it at my top spot, but i’d say my respect for it is higher than my enjoyment of it. Stone Ocean is probably my favorite, Parts 5 & 2 are close seconds, Part 4 was amazing but flawed in the latter half with too many villain of the weeks like Rock, Paper, Scizzors kid (though I did like Cheap Trick to an extent, & Mikitaka was a treat). Part 3 was indeed enjoyable, but I agree with all your points on it. Part 8 was amazing, yet I do agree with nearly all of your critiques on it minus Tooru. I think Tooru is well enough explained, though I completely understand why someone would think he’s not. He is definitely up for debate as the weakest-written villain of Jojo. Okay, Part 7 is the most conflicting things for me. I have to tell you upfront that I am a Christian. My viewpoint on media is determined by how inoffensive it can be to my core values as a Christian. My music choices are the same. So when I see basically blasphemy in the alteration of the Bible in Jesus’ origin story & being turned into a “Collect-a-thon” like Banjo-Kazooie, it breaks my heart as a Jojo fan. However, all the characters are masterfully-written, the stands….are okay, but I hate how they hardly ever showed a physical appearance or stand rush, they were more like extensions of the body itself, like Araki was rethinking how to implement stands. However, that’s a personal gripe, not inherently a bad thing in the grander scheme of things. I love Part 7….but my core values & beliefs say I cannot say I love it. So my feeling son it are contradictory. That’s why I just can’t rate it. It ashamed me & makes me happy. I wish Araki would have used literally anything else as a goal, or even a corps of another saint in the Bible.
I haven't seen all the parts animated but I know enough about them all to give you my ranking 8. Phantom blood 7. Stardust crusaders 6. Diamond is unbreakable 5. Battle tendency 4. Stone ocean 3. Golden wind 2. Jojolion 1. Steel ball run
Im gonna tell you since you dont like dio well you missed the part about the joestar curse in part 6 and how its released from irene with the uni reset
my personal rank so far: 1. Part 5 2. Part 4 3. Part 2 and 3 4. Part 1 note: i haven't watch part 5, let alone finish reading part 7-8. i did read part 8 for a while before i dropped it, but i haven't read part 7
