He's kind of a hilarious character because he used to be a crazy kid and then he got a shock from reality and just decided he had to be normal to cope from that lmao
I won't spoil too much, but she has A LOT of good character development, especially when it comes to talking. I think you'll love it when a character called Manbagi is introduced near the end of season 3 or beginning of season 4. I won't say much about her but she is a big help for Komi too.
Man Tadano is the ideal guy a girl would love to have all to themselves. Komi is one lucky girl that’s for sure. Her very first friend becomes her crush and in the manga her first boyfriend. People are jealous of their connection and chemistry but he’s literally the ONLY person who can tell what she thinks and feels. Just by being there and being as patient as he is by encouraging Komi to always enjoy herself and try her best to communicate, tadano has proven that no one else can truly make Komi truly happy. Some of his choices in candidates for friends for Komi is questionable at the start (looking at you Yamai and Najimi), he’s slowly helped her come out of her shell and is the only one to have ACTUALLY heard her voice. It’s at the point where Komi only wants tadano to hear her voice. Like she is saying, he is the only person who deserves to hear me first.

And this is why they were destined to end up together from act 1. Everyone put Komi on a pedestal, but no one really understood her. They saw Komi as this unattainable beauty who didn’t speak because she was just “cool”. No one was really friends with Komi, they just saw her beauty. Tadano was/is different. Forged from the fires of his past experiences, he is about as low key as they come. Yet, or perhaps because of this, he was able to look past Komi’s almost perfect face and figure and get to know the girl everyone saw but no one knew. Tadano didn’t put her on that same pedestal. He treats her exactly how she wants, just like a normal girl
I love/hate how Najimi almost always interrupts their moments. I hate it cause I need Najimi to LET THEM HAVE THEIR MOMENT, but at the same time, it's funny cause it implies that Najimi has been watching them, and in many scenarios, was the one who pushed them to have those moments lmao like in the episode where they went to Komi's house
Ok but let's also talk about how ridiculously well animated this anime is. The frames are so smooth and the transitions are so well done it's as if the gags are straight out of the manga. The coloring is also insane. Look at the highlights and the shadows of the environment, and even the saturation, white balance and temperature inside the classroom give a nostalgic feel. It's as if you're also their classmate.
The intro scenes where Komi is at crossing waiting for the train (can’t remember the exact thing) to pass is so high quality I was amazed, literally movie quality

A lot of people nowadays think that you need to treat people well, regardless of whether that person is actually good or not. I don’t think someone should be respected simply because of the gender they are. I think it should depend on whether they are a decent person themselves.
I kinda felt/realised this recently, whenever people see a beautiful girl they expect her to be perfect and without flaws, not expecting her to be socially anxious or be facing issues like that.

I love these new types of male mc love interests. Gojo from My Dress Up Darling and Senpai from Nagatoro are all in the same category as Tadano in my opinion. Super respectful and understanding
7:03 I think Komi is one of those people who can pull off wearing anything. Hell, she could wear a bin bag and somehow make it look chic. Ngl, she does look stunning in this shot tho.
Y'all don't know how much balls this guy has grown. I'm so satisfied the day he started going out with komi, It is a big middle finger towards the simps that hates him for being close to her. He deserved shouko as much as shouko deserved Him. This show will get a lot better in Season 3 trust me. Tadano is probably one of the most likable characters of any romance anime along with Miyamura, Shirogane, Ishigami and Gojo. He's not that typical MC that is oblivious to his own feelings, instead he's actually taking notice of it. It's just that his confidence is significantly low to take action because of how most of his classmates treated him and basically how popular the heroine really is. So instead he's unknowingly showing his love by supporting and helping his sweetheart get her goal of making 100 friends.
I immediately respected him and acknowledged him as Chadano after the Manbagi arc. He proved himself to be the only one for her on that arc. I was skeptical at first too but to the anime only watchers, the next season will prove it once and for all why Chadano is one. Still the penultimate arc for me for the entire series - I cried my bawls out but was equally as happy also. I hope we get to see it animated soon.
I love Tadano so much; he deserves much respect like Komi. I feel like they both deserve to be together since: 1) Tadano understands that it's hard for Komi to talk with other classmates (until she started talking in some episodes) 2) when they're both alone, they're not just shy and too nervous to express their feelings, but they secretly like each other 3) Tadano is always there for Komi, even if they're in separate groups and 4) Because ever since the very first episode, both Komi and Tadano deserve to be alone without being interrupted (unlike Najimi) so those are my reasons about why they like each other.
He's soo patient with her and she doesnt even need to speak for him to understand her. Its also sweet that Najimi knows hes like the Komi Whisperer lol. Not many of us are lucky to find a Tadano 😕
2:32 hits me very hard. Not in a bad way but it just proves that Komi has SO MUCH that she wants to say. But getting it out into words is the hard part for her. Komi is the type who thinks and feels so much that expressing them into words is difficult for her. At least that is how I see Komi. And there is nothing wrong with that. People are different and they express themselves very differently. Komi is just the extra care even a little slow. But with patience and seeing how she sees it at her level it will be SO worth it in the end. Which I find sweet seeing how in the manga Komi and Tadano end up as a couple. Which I 1,000% approve of~
