Corrections/ Notes: 4:50 The "close family friend" line isn't in the original Japanese version. It's most likely that he is a bubble clone, as Bowser at the end of the mode reveals that he HIMSELF was also just a bubble clone, and not the real deal. 20:12 Broozers are not dead Chargin' Chucks. Not sure where that info came from 22:17 Kamella is a boss in Super Mario Galaxy. What was described in the video is _Kammy_ Koopa. 24:40 Terrapins are just Koopa Troopas in Armor. Nothing to do with Fish. 25:00 Rocky Wrenches were originally mole-like Koopas, but were retconned into a variant of Monty Moles. Them wearing shells is actually canon though. They just stopped at some point I guess.
I am sorry, I was reading into him and I forgot exactly where it said it but it said that Fake Bowser was an illusion put on by Kamek. That led me to believe he isn’t a real koopa
@@bezzyforpresi Awesome classical hair! Eldest son! His fight in Super Mario World(my 1st Koopaling contact) involves him doing sick flips and fire breathing. Once they gave them voices, they gave him a deep, flamboyant, villainous one. His fight in NSMBU involves shadow cloning himself! (In fact, he tends to have really cool fights!!!) He was designed to fascinate me from a young age onward!
Seeing this makes me like to think if we were to get Bowser’s father, I imagine him looking like Giga Bowser, residing in a more Koopa Empire country and annoyed his son’s failures and constant kidnapping of Peach.
You and carlito are awesome! It's so cool how you two are friends who help each other to make videos about games not known for their lore. I hope to see more funny videos from you both, but truly I hope that you two keep having fun together. Good gouda on the video by the way!
I feel like the koopalings each represent a subspecies of koopa, note the hair stuff, physiology, all that. Edit: Maybe Roy is an albino of the boom boom species? Then you’re probably asking- why does boom boom have huge hands? Boom boom is an “alpha” of his species, akin to a silverback gorilla. Sexual dimorphism is present since Pom Pom sports a red skin palette and no spots. Reinforcing Roy’s albinism is pink skin and sunglasses. If you know, albino animals usually have light sensitivity, and Roy is always seen with his sunglasses.
Forgot the Koopa Bros. and Tubba Blubba But, this was still a really cool video! There was a lot of stuff in here I didn’t know about, it’s clear you did a good bit of research Can’t wait to see what else your channel has in store!
25:00 Small correction here: As a Monty Mole species lore enthusiast, I don’t really think Rocky Wrench has ever been confirmed as a Koopa (despite what the Super Mario Wiki said). Yeah, Rocky Wrench was called a turtle in old media, but they were never called a Koopa from my knowledge. However, Rocky Wrench is a relative to the Monty Mole species so that is nice. Also Broozer is not an undead Chargin Chuck, I have no idea where the hell you got that from (unless it was said in some weird obscure guidebook).
Update: Apparently some random German guidebook actually referred to Rocky Wrench as a Koopa, so there is one official source that refers to Rocky Wrench as a Koopa.
Kamek and Kammy Koopa are individuals, Magikoopa is their species and/or occupation. There were _numerous_ Magikoopas in their debut game of Super Mario World.
Also worth covering: King Koopa's cousins, the dynamic duo Iggy and Spike, who kidnapped Daisy but switched sides to inspire a revolt with the power of rap. You covered only one of them and left out a lot of key information.
My theory about Dry Bowser and the Baby version of the characters co-existing with their main counterparts is that Bowser experiments with cloning and aging. He cloned himself and intentionally turned him into a skeleton variation to be his ultimate weapon. Although this gets confusing as that means that there are occasionally two Dry Bowsers co-existing. The Babies are clones of the main characters, genetically engineered so that they remain babies forever.
Pretty sure the Sumo Bro shown on the tower is the Boss Sumo Bro, which is (technically) its own character in Super Mario Bros U and Paper Mario: The Origami King (also as a boss fight, but the notable part is that he was already that way in Paper Mario (before being folded into an origami form by Olly), unlike in Super Mario Bros U where he was transformed by Kamek).
Just a tip to help your vids, show various pictures of a character when speaking about them. It gives us something to look at and potentially agree with your stance.
I always kinda assumed that, while Bowser has grown larger due to magic and stuff, most of the time it was just inconsistent scaling, but having Giant Bowser as a form does make more sense.
Fun fact: the koopalings are not bowsers adapted kids. They only mention being bowsers kids in a translation error and in one interview. However, all manuals are bad sources for Mario lore due to lots of translation problems and they’re also rarely looked over by Nintendo. That’s how in some Manuel’s you’ll get unused characters and stuff. Most interviews with miyamoto regarding Mario lore are comically wrong, where Nintendo will go out after and debunk most of the stuff he says.
I always thought that rocky wrenches were just Monty moles under plates in the airship and given a supply of Wrenches to throw but, apparently they are a completely different species
I know these aren't canon but in the Super Mario Bros Super Show Bowser has a mother & in the Super Mario Bros Z series he has an ancestor named Bausire
You missed King Koopa the real father of the Koopalings and brother of Bowser. and yes, they are different. King Koppa has green scales and was the main boss in super Mario world alongside the Koopalings that were mini bosses. hes also the main bad guy from the cartoons
i still dont get why boom boom is a boss. they have the exact amount of hitpoints as charging chucks, a regular common enemy. they take 3 stomps and 5 fireballs. honestly i had a more difficult time with churging chucks than boom boom
Terrpin from mario RPG are just armored koopas dressed like knights an the Bomb koopa is called Nobokon and you missed alot of the types of Bros including Boomerang, Fire, Ice, Sledge Bros and Fake Bowser or Bowser Bro from Lost levels. And from the Movie Blue spiked shell paratrooper commander.
You're forgetting that dreamy bowser is one of the most powerful forms of bowser ever. Achieving godlike status only to use it pretty terribly and be defeated by a couple dudes with boots n hammers. Oh also Larry is mah boi and definitely at my blunt rotation. Mostly because larry is just follwing orders in paper jam. So.... my bro is still in the rotation.
That line that Bowser Jr has in Sunshine... When he says, "Someday, when I'm bigger.." I think it'd be cool as hell to see a future Mario game where Bowser Jr. is older and, ya know, a "like father, like son" type of deal.. but, because of game logic, all the other characters show no signs of having aged.. except Jr.. I don't know? Imma little stoned. Lol
