If he played in a bigger market he'd get more exposure. Flies under the radar cause of the depth on offense the Jets have. Think WPG has like 5 guys with 20+ goals, only team in the league with that many.
@@darrionroberts4100 yep, 5 guys with 20+ goals, 9 guys with 20+ points. Not a single player played all 71 games and failed to get 20 points. Bryan Little's 7 games back from injury had him on pace for 50 points had he played the whole season (though 7 games is a small sample size and quite likely his overall season wouldn't have been quite that good). So yeah, quite a bit of offensive depth. Even so, as the Jets' top goal scorer, and tied with Scheifele in points, you'd think he could get at least almost as much attention as Scheifele.
The jets have so many good contracts and underrated players. If they made/make it into the playoffs this year, no one would want them 1st round, and they’re gonna contend for a cup again in a few years.
@@StressfulGengar Laine's $6M. Connor is $7M, locked up for 7 years. $7M for 38 goals in a shortened season and Point-Per-Game overall is a pretty good deal for Winnipeg. He put up more points than Alex Ovechkin, and scored more goals than Connor McDavid (yes, I'm cherrypicking stats to make things look impressive, but at 15th in the league in points and 7th in goals, I can assure you he's no joke).
@@darrionroberts4100 I mean, he's 23 years old. Have you ever heard of a goal scorer peaking at 23? It's incredibly rare, and especially when he's already put down three really solid seasons. I say he probably doesn't get more than 45 goals in a season, but who knows, he could surprise me.
@@reaganharder1480 Lmfao are you a Toronto fan? I never said he'd peak this or the next. With 38 goals this year and the path he's been on I say he has potential for 50. You sound like a bitter leaf fan lmao.
@@darrionroberts4100 I'm actually a Jets fan, and Kyle Connor is probably top 8 of my favorite players. In fact, I am willing to concede that my initial assessment of 45 goals is probably far too conservative, especially given that he was on pace to score 44 this year had the season gone all 82 games. Actually looking at his career stats, there's a clear and consistent upward trend that has no reason to slow for another two or three years at least, which could even bring him into Rocket Richard contention at his peak. And all that at $7M a year locked down for 7 years... Dang, that contract is looking better than I thought...
cpt awesome there’s a vaccine for the flu. Not one for the corona virus. 50k people die every year, well if they didn’t get the flu shot it’s not our problem.
@@jtes9114 And to think, that could well be the actual line combo they go with too. If those guys develop how they should, that's a line that'd give Boston's "perfection line" a run for it's money.
