Great upload! Letterboxd is a service that seems to constantly fly under my radar. I really need to look into starting my own profile as a wannabe movie buff myself. Also, I figured I'd mention the Mandalorian helmet on the "Clone this list" button might actually be a reference to Jango Fett, Boba's "father" and the base that every clone trooper in the series is built from. He was a Mandalorian also, and wore the respective helmet. Since you'd be cloning the list you're viewing, that'd make that list the "Jango Fett" to whatever clone you end up making with it. I've also seen Everything Everywhere All At Once twice now and couldn't agree more with your take. I was even more impressed the second time, because the first time around it's hard to appreciate just how unorthodox the movie's narrative threads are. I won't go into spoilers, since this comment will be public, but to anyone reading I definitely second what Gus has to say about the movie. Again, I really enjoyed this upload. I'm glad there are film enthusiasts out there with enough of an eye for this kind of thing to compile all these Easter eggs into one video.
Another Easter egg that I haven’t seen people talk about, is for when you log a mission impossible movie. It goes to a screen that shows your mission, and then says your review will self-destruct in x seconds
Great compilation! Recently, I've noticed two new Easter Eggs, 1. On the web page for the movie "Tár", the Letterboxd logo is changed to spell "Lettárboxd" 2. For all the Scream movies, the icon for spoiler tagged reviews is changed from the usual Darth Vader icon, to the Ghostface mask
awesome video! noticed that when you log Mission Impossible: Fallout on the app, a popup/video appears that shows a hacking sequence saying your device will self destruct, but then Ethan Hunt overrides the sequence and "restores your connection to the server". thought it was cool to see especially after watching the movie
my favorite is the little ghostface replacing the darth vader on the "contains spoilers" icon in the edit review page in all the scream movies on the mobile version
Whenever you go to log a Scream movie (any of them) the Darth Vader icon is replaced by a Ghostface in the "Cointains Spoilers" section of the review. This may be either due to the fact that the Scream movies are pretty meta or because Letterboxd get's actually name-dropped in the last two movies, Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023) Great movies.
Here are some new ones: -Barbie’s heart is pink -Dunes watched button is blue (reference to the blue eyes) / (oops he already got that one) - The clock hands of the watchlist button for the Taylor Swift movie shows to midnight (reference to her album midnights) - On Martin Scorseses page his movies are referenced as „films“ - When rating any Mission Impossible movie ,it shows you a message that is self destroying itself
looked for a video like that because i got the gremlin easter egg for the first time in over 3 years and wasn’t quite sure if the app wasn’t just fucking w me
I hate the Gremlin Easter egg. I often watch movies late at night and end up finishing them between midnight and 1 AM, so I have to be extra careful not to shake my device when logging a film.
when logging any scream movie, the spoilers icon is changed from the darth vader icon, to a ghost face icon. also the heart/like logo for barbie is pink not orange
