@Miloyall GD More like 1:33. It's so dramatic and so alerting that it even warns to you that your Mac computer is on a very fatal system state and then... it brokes after the boot. AND THERE'S NO WAY TO FIX THIS ISSUE! EVEN IF YOU RESTART THE MAC AND IT WORKS AGAIN AFTER THE STARTUP CYCLE, YOU ARE NO WAY TRYING TO TAKE OUT THE SAD MAC FOREVER. IT ALSO ALERTS THAT YOU ARE IN A BIG RISK AND SO DOES YOUR COMPUTER!!
@@kefastvplaypedroariel2143 I know it’s been a year, idk, I just revisited this video and tbh I forgot I even commented let alone got like 150 likes, but yeah, I agree, I just think the sound alone ignoring the actual crash is more dramatic and funny.
0:42 years ago, my house had a power outage for a moment while I was sleeping. then I woke up to this on the highest volume when power is back… i still get scared when i hear this sound 💀 i always double check when i’m turning my computer off if it’s muted lmao
The mac “sound” just got lower and lower on the musical scale over time. Maybe it never actually went away, it accidentally got too low for human hearing. (I’m glad it’s back.)
A closer comparison was the simple system beep using the internal speaker vs. the Apple sounds. These sounds were built into the rom before the operating system booted. It was possible to have any sound/song of your choice play on startup in Classic MacOS just like windows.

0:20 There were only FOUR Mac models that used that sound, and the LC 475 wasn't one of them. The Classic II was, as well as the Mac LC, and LC II. There was a Performa model that was basically a rebadged Classic II as well.
I remember helping my aunt with her LC III when it failed. The first time I heard it I actually had to ask what it was. She referred to it as the "Chime of Death".
I love how all of them from 1:07 to 1:29 are the same melody, and then the Centris just jumps in out of nowhere with it’s cartoon sounds or whatever is going on there.
The PowerMac's crash chime sounds legitimately cute. Not so cute though when combined with your mac crashing, it's more likely to make you go "OH COME ON!!!"
0:42 reminds me of computer class in 1st grade 1998. After we finished our assignments our teacher let us play games on the computers. I loved playing Carmen Sandiego and Midnight Rescue. Great times.
