EVERY MARIO GAME: Don't Touch the Color Black Challenge! 

After this color challenge, we're gonna try something a bit different next time where I'll play through just one game trying to avoid a color, and we'll have a counter for each time I hit a color. So no getting booted out of the first level like usual lmfao, thanks for watching! :)

"Outlines don't count" **proceeds to lose due to an outline a bunch**

Finally, a color where the Super Mario Land games will actually be dangerous to play with

Hold on: for the SMB Goomba Bathaniel said "can touch Goombas, but not their feet or eyebrows" meaning that, if he kill a Goomba without touching these parts he would have been fine. Then why touching a mushroom with black eyes does count then? If he doesn't touch the eyes he's fine

I like these color challenges but I feel like the more color challenges we get the more the challenge is how short can I make this video and touching either no black at all or the tiniest bit of black that most other people wouldn't count

You could've kept going on Sunshine had you touched the sprite from the back

You should do these challenges for sonic games

I usually try to avoid big essay-like comments, but I have to address my thoughts. It's great that Papa Nandy is changing the format & rules after this because tbh these particular color challenges needs a proper system. I get he likes challenges, but you have to be able to pass the challenges. The current [or i guess previous] rules are too inconsistent & making it impossible to clear one stage let alone a level. Same with Mario Kart games. i believe he shouldn't count an item or enemy that a primary color has other one on them. Example: in this challenge, the goombas [outside of SML 1 & 2], the blocks in SMB, the mushrooms, & the Sunshine shouldn't have counted. If they were all black or at least under a dark shadow, fine, but they have a different primary color. Goombas are brown, the Sunshine/Stars is gold yellow, etc. also, I see comments like "he's making the rules up as he goes along cause he wants to keep these challenges short" or "the editor is too picky with these rules so he doesn't want to edit for a long time" I seriously doubt those are the cases, but I understand most like his longer videos & understandably skip these color challenges. I don't want him & his team to overwork themselves, so hopefully the new rules can accomplish more for both Nandy & the boulder brigade. Also, i don't think shades of a color should count either.

I just began watching his "color challenge" videos and I only lost braincells as I continued to watch each of them.

I feel like these would be better rules: 1) If your sprite (or model) touches the color (either in view, or out) you lose 2) The color has to be within a 16 RGB range difference (all channels can be +16 - -16 range of the color)

Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels: Mario didn't touch the black part of the brick so he is fine. New Super Mario Bros 2: the note block has black on it so you lose.

Technically, mario didn't touch the yoshi coin when he collected it so it shouldn't count.

for smb1, i would say the black lines on the brick block dont count, its just there to show the empty space between the bricks

On the original Game Boy, it was shades of GREEN, not black, so for the Mario Land games, I’d consider the whole game safe, as it’s all green

Well with SMB1 ur forced to fail on level 2 as underground sections have black backgrounds Same with literally the first screen of SMB2 Backgrounds were not made exceptions

I mean you wouldn't have made it far in 64 anyways because even after you get the star if you made an exception, you would've landed on a checkered floor
