This was a fun watch, even though I was in anticipation waiting to see where Sky Garden ended up. Also, I love the Schafrillas-like transitions (especially since he won't be doing a Tour ranking himself lol)
Tour Not-Sky Garden isn't a remake in my eyes, it's a Mushroom Cup-ification. Basically the reverse of what they did with Calamari Desert 2, or more aptly what they did when they had two different tracks share a name due to similar themes.
It’s been a great wait for this video to come out, and now it’s finally here. While I don’t entirely agree on everything here, the fact you even managed to do this in the first place is just impressive, as well as giving pretty good explanations on why you feel that way for each of the tracks. This is definitely a great Christmas present from you and this channel, and what a way to end off 2023. Thanks for everything man. Thanks for the epic inclusion in the Daisy Circuit segment btw, very Super Mario Swaggin of you
I am NOT a cheep cheep lagoon enjoyer, it’s extremely boring and vapid - BUT the fact that the reverse variants had some super hidden glider ramps before the bridge was a cool discovery to find, even if they’re not faster and super deep into the off-road! Made it feel less like a 1 to 1 port from the 3DS and like some attention to detail was given to the tour versions.
0:42 NOWAY, THATS ME :000000 Also, i see that you think the complete opposite to me on BC4, lol (i have it as the worst track out of every track in Tour)
pretty on par coming from the shy guy that has the very iconic Worst Mario Kart 8 Deluxe track video . (Actually didn’t even know you’d comment here, pretty surprising ngl)
@@GoldenDryBonesandStu I've been subbed for ages, lmao (I'm pretty sure we're also both on Albert Boris's server) Also, I am thinking of remaking that video (for better or for worse) since some opinions have altered quite a bit. 😅
Whilst I’m personally happy with Toad Circuit being in Mario Kart 8, there are still so many courses I wish we could’ve had. One more wave with something like Dry Dry Ruins, Lakeside Park, Mushroom Bridge, Luigi’s Mansion, Vanilla Lake 2, Cheep Cheep Island, Shy Guy Bazaar and Bowser Castle 4 would’ve been really neat.
Idk if it’s just my experience, but I find the trick variant of Baby Park to be more chaotic than the normal one in this game. Not just because of the ramps though. I feel like there’s a lot of item chaos in that variant. Also, personal sidenote: my first experience with Baby Park was in Mario Kart DS. And I remember the first time I was about to play it and saw the thumbnail, I thought the track design would’ve been a lot crazier than a circle. Saying this because tbh, the R/T variant in Tour is almost exactly how I envisioned Baby Park to be when I was young.
GBA Bowser Castle 4 looks so good, it is an absolute shame we didn’t have it in the BCP (especially since the GBA Bowser Castle music is probably my favorite music piece in mario kart and i just KNOW it would’ve gone so hard in mk8)
@@GoldenDryBonesandStuGP DX received a lot of criticism because Pac-Man was given his design from Ghostly Adventures rather than the classic design. I've seen a few episodes of Ghostly Adventures, and I didn't think it was that bad
42:23 I don't think anyone would be mad if Mario Kart Tour was set up like Angry Birds Go (Version 1.0 specifically because 2.0 is a pile of dog turds) another mobile racing game released on November of 2013.
7:38 Many tracks have unnecessary glider ramps, and even though I hate Tour, I don't mind this one because it's *optional.* There are several of these that are unavoidable, like Neo Bowser City and Rock Rock Mountain
