Yeah… I feel like they’ve been going off a checklist of giving Wiz and Boomstick things to have… giving Boomstick super speed, giving Wiz various gadgets… stuff like that
honestly think it was for the worse tbh, like it may just be me but I feel like ever since they animated Wiz and Boomstick they turned Boomstick into a modern-day Simpsons character with the quality of jokes they use him for. Like I don't think Season 2 - Season 5 (pre MvS 2) Boomstick would be calling Mikasa's 3D Maneuver Gear "fart powers" and spending 10 seconds blowing a raspberry...
I think one thing that would've really helped flow-wise was with the Thor vs Wonder Woman would've been Diana SOMEHOW disarming Thor and knocking him away, and trying and failing to pick up Mjolnir. As she's struggling, it actually does lift off the ground and she thinks she's lifted it, only for it to be reveal that it's because Thor is summoning it to him. Mjolnir flies back to Thor, Wonder Woman still in tow with it and he smiles and knocks her away saying "Only the Worthy can wield it." That sets up later why she uses the lasso to make Thor hit himself, because she knows she can't use it, and then sets up why she says "you are not worthy."
That fight they should have done real research. Thor’s stats were absolutely pathetic. In my opinion Thor bodies wonder women and she should have never won that fight.

Don’t believe the stats deathbattle gave for Thor there research seems to be favoritism in some matches our just flat out wrong.iv read Thor comics and looked up other people shows his feats on RU-vid especially speed. By death battles logic Thor is only as fast as quicksilver but Thor has kicked the crap out of silver surfer who can move so fast he travels through time by speed alone. That at bare minimum would put Thor well in her league. As for strength well Thor is so much stronger than her it’s not even fun. Let’s put it this way you remember the panel we’re Superman broke wonder woman wrist simply by squeezing it that is what Thor would do to wonder women.

Well The flash and zoom are faster than silver and ww has kept up with both of them. Ww is simply faster than Thor as flash has feats like running fast enough to go through time, running faster than the concept of death itself, ext. Yeah no. Superman is stronger than Thor in pure striking or physical strength when it comes to fists so I disagree that she is weak enough to get hurt that badly from Thor gripping her hand. Thor doesn’t demolish nor does Wonder Woman easily beats Thor either. The fight is pretty even depending on how you scale it

As much as I absolutely adored Nightwing VS Daredevil, whoever thought having the fight take place in a garage and not in say, the rooftops of Bludhaven or Hell's Kitchen, should be fired. A fight between two of the most acrobatic fighters in both Marvel and DC, and it takes place in a closed space with not enough space for the kinds of high flying acrobatics those two are capable of?! I don't even care if it's live action or not, but at least try to show one of the best traits of both your fighters! A fight with those two zipping through the rooftops showcasing their great agility would have been absolutely epic.....
I don't think it would have been possible on DB's budget. Or it would have been green screened and looked awkward. I imagine if they tried it, we'd all be complaining about it

I get why Boomstick being a sleaze is off putting, but given his character was way more unhinged, I always thought the joke was that the stuff he was saying was creepy (or at least the good jokes, others are just him saying the character is hot). In comparison, him and Wiz crushing over Zuko feels way more creepy since they’re more down to earth. But the show is all about killing fictional characters anyway, so even then it’s not a serious issue to me. It’s very much a matter of opinion though, and I am definitely giving the older episodes more slack given the time they were made.
I get that they were trying to poke fun at how so many people in the community crushing on Zuko or at least gushing over how good of a character he is, but I think they could have handled it better.

I feel that Hulk vs Doomsday and Hulk vs Broly are different in terms of destruction and impact on purpose. Hulk vs Doomsday is a fight with a monster, a big scary monster that is ruthless, he is not angry because something triggered him, he is just livid and wants to destroy, so everything feels more impactful. Hulk vs Broly, is the exact opposite, Broly does not want to hurt or kill, and despite his famous line of him being a demon, Broly is more of a scared animal acting in defense. I feel that the impact is different because of those traits, even corresponding in the songs, Hulk vs Doomsday uses hard hock and metal, Ikari is soft rock. Plus they used Super Broly not Z Broly, if it was Z Broly, I would expect more dangerous destruction because Z Broly IS that demon, IS that monster who destroys, if they used that version and gave it Ikari and the lack of impact, then it would not work as well because Z Broly is like Doomsday and is a monster because they are a monster, not a monster out of retaliation.

Bro I'm so glad someone besides me noticed that deathstroke backflip into front roll thing. That has bugged me for so long and I thought no reactor or analyst would ever bring it up.
The galaxy destroying scene was pretty good to me, it recreated the south galaxy destruction scene from the first Dragon Ball Z Broly movie in a very similar way to how the galaxy was shown being destroyed in said movie.
Looking back at this fight…while I liked Broly vs Hulk, this one actually did felt more destructive and brutal comparing to newer DB. Though Ikari is a pretty damn good song. Also, do you try think the outcome would still be the same if Doomsday fought The Immortal Hulk (the one that Broly fought)?
One fight that I'm both surprised and not surprised they haven't done because its too obvious is Catwoman vs Black Cat. They are both so extremely similar that they might as well be the same character even down to the cat themed burglar that is morally grey and is consistently getting with a hero who wants them to commit to being good

Yeah, Deathstroke VS Deadpool was probably my favorite battle of...All of DB, really. Sure, the CG is crude by the standard the series will later reach, but there's some great set piece moments, it captures the characters really well (in general, that tends to be DB's biggest strength I feel), the voice acting is great (For a second, I was wondering if they somehow got the ACTUAL Ron Perlman, that's how close Deathstroke's VA got), the humor's good, and, while the killing blow is pretty disappointing, the lead-up to it, with Deadpool shooting THROUGH HIS OWN HAND into Deathstroke's good eye, complete with aside to the audience, is just...Perfect. It captures one major aspect of the character that was part of his advantage (namely, his unpredictability) without just being random for the sake of random, instead showing him thinking out of the box and using his healing factor in a way most wouldn't consider.
Something I really dislike about Aquaman vs Namor is that Aquaman, despite being the king of the ocean, said "Have it em boys" when all of those Angler Fish are female.
I do love how Deadpool killed Deathstroke. Shooting him in the eye to get the advantage then landing a killing blow with the sword that nullifies healing factors. I think the animation just didn’t do a good job as to how it looks.

I *love* Nightwing vs. Daredevil, primarily because I love those two characters and I thought the episode and the fight did them justice 😄 Even though I was rooting for DD, I was still happy with the whole thing. The fight itself is good. The conclusion is bullshit though. People keep using "Nightwing is train by batman" as a point that he wins daredevil. Daredevil have go through things that has try to use sound against him and has survived.

He's also a trained and experienced detective (moreso than Matt is), which is... also factual. Besides, it's one of the closest fights even by their own logic, so I'm happy with either winning.

When it comes to Deadpool vs Deathstroke, its funny that despite being just another Marvel vs DC fight, its actually pretty damn unique when compared to Deadpool's other fights because it actually focuses on Deadpool in his entirety instead of him just being a 4th Wall Breaker. Deadpool vs Deathstroke actually showed you the differences between the two characters and made both seem really cool. The fact that Deadpool hasn't gotten a matchup like that sense, and just keeps getting paired with 4th wall breakers is sad because his fight with Pinkie Pie and Mask just felt the same to me, Deadpool fights someone who does his schtict better than him and shenanigans ensue. Its why I am also never fond of Batman fights in this show because its also the same shit only instead of 4th wall breaker vs 4th wall breaker its Batman vs one of his Marvel counterparts/rivals. I am not sure if they have shown who Batman is fighting next but unless its someone outside of Marvel, its still the same bullshit as last time except they're giving him more shit. I honestly hope if Deadpool gets used again they don't just use him against another 4th wall breaker and for Batman, if they use him a 5th time, I'd actually be interested to see if there is a non comic book character matchup for him because he has like 50 Marvel opponents and then there are likely other comic book characters to pit him with, I'd love to see him go against a video game character that is similar and/or can match him or an anime character, etc. Death Battle really needs to have more imagination when it comes to Batman and Deadpool, since they overuse them so much. On that note I find it funny how I thought Deadpool was the most overused until I remembered that Batman has shown up far more as either an actual opponent, an assistant to the opponent or a cameo. Batman is actually far more over used and shows up in Death Battles even when they have nothing to do with him like say Iron Man vs Lex where his car is just there or Bane vs Venom where he shows up at the end or Redhood vs Winter Soldier where he's talking to Red Hood. At this rate, might as well have Batman vs Deadpool for the battle of most over used Death Battle combatant.
What about Deadpool vs Gintoki? They may be 4th wall breakers but there is a lot of character to them so we cam have the best of both worlds. As for Batman I don't dislike the idea of him vs Light Yagami, it would be pretty even and different to what we se used to

I give shazam vs captain marvel, -2/10 Its a stomp fight done because people were still mad at brie. Likewise, android 18 vs captain marvel gets a 0/10 for being a spite match. 18 can’t absorb energy. I also hate them scaling her. That’s much higher then anything she’s shown to be capable of.

S1 aside (there are plenty of stinkers to be sure), I feel like the Pokémon battle royale aged like milk (the animation remains decent tho) with the use of obvious game mechanics (such as stats and IVs), no mention of actual tangible feats or scaling and all three Kanto starters having updated movesets since the DB first aired. Plus thanks to Gen 8 wild mons can now be found Gigantamax'ed meaning DB can use the Kanto mons at their peak without having to worry about trainer influences.
@@lynxfresh5214 I actually quite disagree with that (aside from the movepool bit). The use of game mechanics and IVs feels justified since they’re from the same universe and meant to be the same strength. More stats would be nice, but I find it pretty unnecessary (similar to other same series fights). Gigantamax is also irrelevant since it requires being near Dynamax energy, which Goro Vs. Machamp established as not being allowed.
Regarding your issue with the melee combat in Dr. Strange v Dr. Fate: I don't know about Fate, but Strange is an expert martial artist as well as the Sorcerer Supreme, so melee combat isn't Ooc for him.
A large part of these battles that I feel like are overlooked is the apparent balance going into the actual fight, as in, the result shouldn't be completely obvious just by looking at pre-fight analysis alone and a little bit of background character knowledge. This is where episodes like Flash vs. Quicksilver and Namor vs. Aquaman fall off for me, because (especially for Flash vs. Quicksilver) it is *so* painfully obvious that it's one of, if not the biggest roflstomps in the entire series that it kinda just ruins the whole fight. You can't really fault the flash episode for that because the whole meme is that godflash beats anyone (except batman with infinite prep time lul xd).
In my opinion about Hulk versus Doomsday is that unless if you're taking an alternate version of Hulk you'll find that he's at most Galaxy level because multi-galaxy or Universal beings defeat him easily like Zeus and Doomsday would have a chance of defeating Zeus because of his adaptability he's literally come back from The Phantom Zone and learned how to punch through it
Even though there were alot to review and probably equally, if not more fights with a single marvel and dc characters, I'm kinda surprised there's not alot of Marvel vs DC fights. Then again Nemesis excluded quite a bit too so maybe I'm dumb
The one thing I don't think Hulk vs Doomsday did well is show off Hulk's intelligence which he had and did have at the time of release. But they decided to go for his less controlled version instead for some unknown reason as if purposefully nerfing a character just so the other one could win. Not saying that it would have changed the outcome exactly, but its much better than just leaving it out and pretending it never existed.
Hulk vs Doomsday i avoided because Hulks death But thanks to this video, i came back My perspective changed For a season 3 episode, it is a near perfect episode, it feels like it actually is like a movie A bad animated, but amazing movie, it was a 9.5/10 for me I personally prefer Hulk vs Broly But damn Hulk vs Doomsday is just great
