Jesse Mendes simply over powered Real Woods when he needed to. I'm not sure what's going on with Iowa's strength and conditioning program, but Real Woods has lost more matches this season because of deficiencies in his strength and power production.
@@SheetzSwim1789 I see your point, but you don't have to be at your emotional peak to out power someone else. I wrestle myself and at no point in time was Woods really intially out of position; Mendes just steam rolled him and that's not simply a matter of technique. If anything because Woods is older he should be stronger and he should especially be peaking in his strength and power production now if he plans to hit the world stage. Woods has the potential to be as elite a wrestler as Mendes if not better.
Agree. I, like everyone else, thought that 165 would be a two-horse race (O'Toole and Carr), but Mesenbrink has an excellent chance of winning it all. Of course, Hamiti is a tremendous wrestler and will be a very tough opponent.
I love to hear these Coaches from Mich and Iowa screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs at every match... I never hear the PSU coaches going that crazy. I guess if you train them up, you can trust your wrestlers to do what they have been taught. LOL!!
@@SheetzSwim1789 unlike other teams, NIL doesn't come into play like it does other schools. Wrestlers come to Penn State because of the Coach and the NLWC atmosphere. This is also why NLWC brings in some of the top wrestlers in the country after they graduate from the other schools.
Lewan is a staller. He doesn't have any offense against tough opponents until they get to SV. Look at all of his past matches and you will see many 1-1 SV matches.
Cael decided that it was better for him to have 2 more weeks to heal from his leg injury from the last dual (Edinboro) to be ready for NCAA's. Carter was not happy about it but I think it was the right choice. Carter injury defaulted two matches to make those matches official. He needed them to have them counted towards his total matches to be qualified (have enough total matches) to get into the NCAA's.
Thanks for the help I appreciate it .. I definitely knew he didn't go out in the first rounds but was curious why he wasn't there... Again thank you for helping
