Zemo is the first villain to achieve his goal. He destroyed the Avengers, and made then rip each other apart. He's an incredible villain to the MCU.

This list is all over the place. It was less of a “ranking of villains from worst to best,” and more of a refresher course for people to re-familiarize themselves with the villains. That’s the only way I can explain the bizarre rankings they chose

Ummm kind of didn't mention the big part of Mysterio: He revealed Peter's secret identity to the world and made him public enemy #1. I'd say that alone is pretty dang evil, especially in an MCU where it seems like everyone knows who almost every hero is except for Spidey.

zemo deserves to be higher in the end his plan worked across multiple years/movies and caused the avengers to fall apart

You know this list is completely invalid when the Mandarin is placed ABOVE Red Skull.

Loki should honestly be at the top. He is such an iconic villain in the MCU, and has gotten a lot of time to have the audience get to know him. Without him, Thanos wouldn’t have even gotten the Space Stone.

So Nebula makes the list but The Winter Soldier doesn't?

I think this list is so incomprehensible for me and many others, because his comic knowledge influences it extremely.

To the Black Order's credit, they were originally gonna have a bigger role in Infinity War as well as learning there backstories, but was eventually cut.

I don't think fenris was a villain, In the actual mythology he certainly is, but in these movies he is just a dog who lost against the second most powerful hero in the mcu

when loki popped up in the video i couldnt help but think back to the scene in thor ragnarok where thor gets tossed around by hulk and loki pretending he doesnt know thor could not help but to jump up and yell '' THATS HOW THAT FEELS!!!''

Casting Hugo Weaving for Red Skull was a stroke of brilliance. Definitely one of if not the best casting choices. Up there with Tony and Cap.

I thought Kaecilius and Dormammu in Dr Strange were brilliant villains. And Grandmaster Goldblum was super entertaining

Kaecilius did not get enough screen time. He could have been a great villain, instead they made him do CGI magic most of his time on screen.

Underrated villains of the MCU: Laufey Aldrich Killian Eric Savin Herman Schultz Jackson Bryce Baron Von Strucker The Leader - He needs to show up in Disney Plus' She-Hulk since Abomination has been confirmed to show up in the upcoming series with Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner. Both The Leader and Abomination have worked together trying to takedown Bruce Banner/Hulk in the comics as well as the mid 90's UPN show in The Incredible Hulk Animated series. Banner and Walters/She Hulk have teamed up against both The Leader and Abomination. The Collector and his brother from Ragnarok are more fierce and formidable than the bumbling portrayal in the live action films. I get it for the comedic effect but they should have been intimidating.

Idk the best thing about Thanos is something that sets him apart from every other villain, expect maybe Killmonger, is that he didn’t seek power. He didn’t conquer a world and sat on top of it when he was done, he didn’t built himself a massive ship and an endless army, he went and sat in the garden… “Watch the sun set on a grateful universe.” And this point is proven even more when he destroys the stones.

The most realistic, scheming & manipulative villain of them all is Helmut Zemo. Even without powers, he single handedly make the conflict between the Avengers worse. Thus, sparked the Civil War between Captain America & Ironman. Imagine the level of chaos caused by Zemo if he didn't get caught by T'chala?

Something that's easily overlooked is that Ghost's father has a quick name drop that reveals him to be the Egghead of the comics, a classic Antman villain.

@Looper In Norse mythology, there’s actually a giant wolf who fights Odin in Asgard’s Ragnarok. It’s name is Fenrir so I don’t think they just created fenris just for hulk to have someone to battle with. The wolf is actually a part of the mythology.

Why is Red Skull so low? He is a recognizable and unique MAIN villain that is a perfect match for Captain America and is accurate to the comics. He also comes back in the later Avengers movies which makes him wayyy more important than the Tinkerer or any of the random side villains in Homecoming.

Justin hammer is hard to take as a credible villain, that seems to be the point of the character :) Great comic relief though. Or maybe more like, a great villain bad at being a villain? I always liked whiplash in the iron man 2 too, though he has a great actor depicting him so that feeds into it, even if the backstory IS a bit onedimensional.
