What i loved about TDU and TDU2 was the lifestyle part, there are tons of games out there where you can race, that was not what made TDU special, it was lifestyle
The thing about houses is that it added to the gameplay loop. Because houses was tied to garage space. Also this game has potential but it's just race after race after race at the moment. Motorfest and Horizon 5 feel watered down but at the end of the day, there is more to do in those games. I really want this game to succeed.
The only thing you do in those games is race they added content over time they’ve been out for years you guys have the strongest short term memory lost when comes to the horrible launches of those games
My opinion and in my order. 1. Keep islands 1:1. So Ibiza being comfirmed, make it the whole Ibiza. Even in updates if that's how we will get it. There was no other racing game doing this back then, or even now unless its a mod for AC. That immersion was unmatched. Driving around for hours. 2. Houses. Yes, it is coming much later, but it's a huge feature TDU is known for. Wohld have been real nice at launch, but to know it is coming makes me happy. 3. Cross progression. I plan on upgrading to PC, so I'd like my progression on Series X to carry over. 4. Co driver. Surprised you mentioned it here. I loved that in TDU2. 5. Cars with navigation in real life, having navigation work in-game. 6. Car washes. 7. All these personal things you do for people on missions, like drive this person here, but drive careful. All those races you mentioned are needed. Instead of just having race locations on the map (at least from the demo I've raced) we need those like in TDU2. 8. Cop chases. 9. Each car having their own tachometer like the real car has. 10. I forgot all about the feature where you can time your 0-60 and all that. So that would be a nice one to come back. 11. Is adding more JDM cars a feature? Lol. If it counts, it's what I would really like. I feel l Iike im missing something. It's been a while since I played, and since im on console and can't keep playing it, so I can't even check anymore. I'm just too hyped to play tonight when it comes. I'm really hoping they can eventually bring the TDU2 nostalgia into it. By far one of the most unique open world racers in my opinion, was TDU1 & 2.
5. Yea car washes with Hong Kong girls like Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift especially since it’s a rated M 8. since this is not 2003 anymore how would they actually implement this for ever car since now we have cars that have digital video game speedometers it would look weird on the screen to have a modern Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ford GT or even a 2020 Gt500 speedometer on the right side of your screen it only was a thing in the old games because interiors were horrible couldn’t see anything so they put them on the outside for immersion that’s what the original Devs said they did it for because they didn’t have the tech for detailed interiors back then it was only analog tachometers so it was easy but now almost all cars have digital meters that rev up like video games 9. Yea that’s basically a draggy for when people who don’t have a performance car they can record their 0-60 times and lap times they had that in the game years ago small feature but very cool and useful to practice your launches on a car or recording your lap times in your data log on your draggy they called it chronopack in TDU2
What i would have loved in tdusc is the menu sounds, colours, layout, buttons, icons etc from tdu2…. Had such an inviting and really clean look and vibe…Quite hard to describe, but the dudum sound alone when you pressed a button to accept something was so nice..
It just sounds like you want a TDU2 remake why would they make a new game to add every single aspect of the old game in the new game. Just play TDU2 at that point because if they followed your idea you will look at TDUSC 5 years from now and say it has no identity. Because it just copied the previous game before it and every new fan would say that the game is not really a new game. It’s just a rehash of the old one you want every new game you make in a franchise to have it’s own identity. While also still following the core principles of what makes it great. A TDU game in this instance because copying sounds, font, colors and music would hurt it in the long run.
@@redhunnid5142 what they did now, at least it seems like that... is basically like a need for speed: Racing through a major city. (at least what the game looks like on its release) I don't want a remake, but i think most people agree, that tdu2 really had a good identity and vibe that people liked and what made the game stand out. Houses, social aspect etc, especially the menu parts felt really good. Now take all that, improve the driving, graphics, different maps, add tuning, add possibility to creating your own activities/owning a business etc, adding more activities, more options for your home, clans (which they did) and maybe specific racing careers, clothing options, improved social interactions and spots and you have a new game, that would just add to the tdu2 experience, in some way it might be a remake yeah (but then basically every 2nd part of a game would be one, so i think that works). And i do think thats what people would have really enjoyed as tdu2 had exciting things planned that were never released.
What I was hoping for TDU SC was the houses (with limited garage space) and the sence of progression in cars and houses. Without that we have better options to play

Remember the car washes? They were hilarious. Maybe don’t do it to that extent but drive through a car wash when you get a muddy car from off-roading … if you don’t clean it then it’s in your garage dirty. Like rally cars would look sick just dirty.
Awesome video ! Personally I would really like to be able to control the volume of the radio in-game like in the old games. Also regarding the missions the sad thing is that everything that made TDU a great solo game was removed in TDUSC... 😞 But I really hope that they will add these missions in the future 🤞
V-rent could be a thing that they could add in as a throw back with a different feature. The ability to rent a moving van when you go buy furniture for your house. I think that could be a fun immersive feature to add
Something you haven’t touched on was in your mini map if you went driving you left a snail trail of where you have been it used to be cool after a long spin with friends to see where you have been
Couldn’t agree more about the gear shifting. It was so immersive in TDU 1 & 2, when you accelerated through the revs the character would put his hand down to change gear LONG BEFORE you had to change gear. That blew my mind back in TDU 1. And I think it’s a very important thing for immersion. Other then that. Car delivery missions, hitchhiker missions, friends as passengers, houses etc I don’t know how it is in TDUsc when you Test Drive a car before buying, but the car dealer should be sitting next to you like in TDU1&2. Nice video! Can’t wait to play the game!
Why the houses are the past, but the other stuff is not? but I was thinking they have all those buildings they dont just have to be houses, they could be apartments and condos... I was thinking why they would be thinking it would be a problem for them because they have so much multi player built in and tdu 1 and 2 you were able to play alone.. so idk
You’re missing my point again bro 😭. What I meant wasn’t specific, everything that was left from tdu2 and tdu1 is in the past, I’m not gonna stick to it, but what I will ask for is all of these features brought back, but much more improved.

But the god’s honest truth is for og tdu fans it’s the biggest thing that separated it from its competitors. @@TheKadirovstasI agree only for 1 reason a lot of these missions that were in the old TDU games I don’t think would work correctly online. All of those hitchhikers missions in TDU is the equivalent to GTA’s stranger missions that spawn on the map randomly. That and just being able to have access to the game after it’s done being supported
18:45 I fully agree with this idea I’ve been thinking about it ever since they introduced clans it would be cool like you said for them to let us create our own clans. Then give our own race clubs around the map and buy a club location and we can customize our club aesthetics. You could recruit people into your club or be solo. You would still be a member of your main club the streets or sharps. You would have to level up your rank in your race club and it can have its own rewards. You can leave your car outside or park it inside the club but like you said after houses. That needs to be the main priority after we get all this content done on the road map. Houses need to be the number one thing to worry about honestly. Then a possible clan wars part 2 would be good it’s just so many good ideas you add along the way of this game. This game will just get better and better over time like wine it’s only the beginning. I also hope they have it to where they let us drive each other’s cars like you said we could just all hop into one suv or sedan. I also want them to add that relay race mode that didn’t make it to TDU2. I agree on the walkable race lobbies too really just multiple walking areas in general around the map. I hope a lot of these features make it in TDUSC because it’s not just a racing game it’s a rpg mmo.
Need those cute follow missions back for tension and photography mode ! Would be epic solar crown looks and plays nice but it’s about making the world feel less lonely and more alive with life now form community feedback
I don’t know if this is too much realism but I hope they add gas stations that u need to periodically go to and different cars have different gas mileage like a hellcat would burn through gas a lot faster than most cars idk I think it would add more life to the game plus I want to experience high gas prices in games too 😂and npcs on the road kinda like the crew 2 but also the stuff u mentioned in the video
Said the other day that the Ibiza expansion coming at the end of the year has helped to renew some excitement for me for this game. However when I see how many core features they’ve decided to omit from the game, man it’s so disappointing. They’ve announced intentions to rectify this etc. but it’s still disappointing that they’re not there from release nonetheless.
TDU2 got the same reception at release. Plus reviewers rated Forza Motorsport around an 8/10 while players rate it around a 2/10. A lot of reviewers don't understand driving games
Nah it should get out there get them money to update the game and recieve more feedback, if they sit on the game too long the hype will die and the game won't sell leading to it failing
I've been playing TDU2 for 7 years and I love that game so much! I'm a big fan of TDU2 concept. However I would like to say some points that You really need to know If you hope to develop next TDU game in the future! I would like to say as a fan *We need a creative storyline like NFS Payback & NFS Heat. * We need a special Character like "Tess Wintory" to attract the players then there're so many reasons to play like 1) It could be because of the storyline, Main character, Character Customization like that *Characters should be realistic as much as cars. *It should be open world. *It should have characters customization with so many options. Thought you'd show some of the missions in TDU1 they were either identical or not present in the sequel such as car and package delivery. I could see them emulating gig economy food delivery missions (find the restaurant, park, then find the customer) before time runs out, or race against other players to see who can deliver the most in 10 minutes.

Honestly, if they dont add houses within the first 3-6 months of launch, the game is gonna be dead for sure. We need houses and Garages to store our cars, otherwise it doesnt make sense to keep grinding. Add more house features later, but we need houses soon.

Is there going to be more to the options when you spec a car when you buy it for example cars that have stripes like the 488pista have different types of stripes or is thst tied to the paint work and body work such as carbon or non carbon options just for example 🤔 switchable drive modes needs to be a thing too

I want to take a chance and buy this game but I am also very cautious every game I have bought in the last 4 years have been nothing but a broken mesh I really want this game to exceed it would be amazing to have a world like this and I don't trust reviews because we don't know if they are bought or telling the truth but if this game is good I will buy it

We discussed it on my rc channel already but no crossplay is whats bothering me. No properties. I dont think it will have the same nostalgic effect that the first 2 had.
I feel like the map exploration and houses were the foundation that the whole game was built on. And even all these menu sounds had something special. It sounds silly but everything can add to the soul of a game if done right, the crew and forza FEEL somewhat soulless / empty. But from what I see of how the new game looks, they are capable of creating that feeling again. I have trust that they could get a proper tdu 3 done in the future with the necessary resources, because honestly, tdu sc can not be it yet.
I hope in the near future they update the graphics to 4k it’s been 10 years I don’t know why they are releasing a game running 1080p when all consoles are running 4k or upscale 4k smh
in short, tdu sc have NOTHING to do with the tdu franchise, its just another boring racing game like other, but more bugged and zero server support, i had, and i still have hopes for the game, but theyre doing so many wrong things man, is hard to still believe them for me "tdu dna" where is it!?
I am not at all willing to buy Solar Crown. This game is inferior to TDU and TDU2 in every aspect, as you have shown here. Way smaller map, no houses, no missions, worse wheel support and it's always online. There is just nothing, apart from better graphics and world detail, that would convince me to buy this game on launch.
People could have saved $30 and just waited until the 12th like I did I got $30 to spend on something else I ain't wasting $90 just to play a game 6 days early that's never worth it

On top of that, I did talk about always online and how important server infrastructure is. Even on twitter. I can't keep saying this so tbh this is the last time I'm gonna repeat it on RU-vid. People who know me, know what I've done, I'm not here to get mass appeal, I like my work to be shown in physical evidence.
